Transfusion Saga #11

Wraith of Fire

Rate this book
I knew the moment my soul burned.
I knew the moment the Wraith of Fire had touched me.
And now…
Was it really so hard for the Heavens to produce some white light?
But no, not even just a warm glow at the end of some graffitied tunnel and as for Pearly Gates, well they wouldn’t be opening for me any time soon!
Because I wasn’t where I was supposed to be. And I could forget all my jokes about falling into Wonderland and Oz and seeing any of those fuzzy fellas from Narnia, because no amount of wishing that my life was a fairy tale would make it so.
Not when I was caught in this nightmare world. One where I was to be terrorised by its ruler for an eternity.
A tyrant King that wanted a new game to play.
One I had no chance of winning.

Not when it was my heart, that was on the line.

Fabulous

I can't wait for the final part of Luc and Amelias story. Stephanie Hudson, brilliant as always. Rich with detail of the immense world you have conjured from your imagination, and laced with little gems of humour. Posh Vern is possibly one of my favourite literary characters ever.

Disappointing Storyline

This installment of Amelia and Lucius’s story was very disappointing. Book #10 ended with a tragic cliff hanger and I had high expectations for this continuation. But the author spent way too much of the book (over 50%) rehashing the prior books and I almost quit reading. Even when it finally started an actual turn of events, it was like the author was just inventing filler in anticipation of book #12. Hopefully the next one will be an improvement because I have really enjoyed all the previous books in this series.

Kickass girl power

Well after the last cliff hanger it was good to see Amelia getting her life back but poor Lucius will be ever get any peace. The last book has a lot to resolve and I'm sure it will all turn out for the good. Free Trevor and all the other wraiths.

Nice

What a journey, this has to be my favourite book of this series to date.
But in saying this... I was a bit disappointed how a lot of the storyline does repeat its self we are on book 11 we shouldn’t need to go back to the start and get explanation on a lot of things and feelings..
I would love to see more of his side more then hers now that book would be the true hero..
I do love this couple their humour is just infectious and the plot.

Building to the finale

Amelia had to become stronger in her own right to be able to battle with the Wraith King & part of the previous prophecy was coming true. All of the storylines are coming together for the final book due very son

Good but...

The past two books have been a struggle to get through . way too much filler of nonsense we didn't need and the story dragged on. I am ready for this series to end its just a shame for its going out on a such a fizzle compared to the other books we have read from this author .

Ahh how should I say it??? So many thing happened in this book but for once I am glad that we finally have a whole book dedicating to Lucius and Amelia because from the past few books they've either been separated for the first half, or second half or the entirety of the book :(

I have to say the visual image of having Amelia eat the Wraith's heart was disgusting to me 🤮 but what can it be done? It was the only way!!!

And I am starting to think, will Amelia ever become a vampire? Is she immortal now that she became the Wraith herself?? Because I really want her to be immortal so she can live forever with Lucius...

Why do I get the feeling when Amelia finds out that Lucius have a wife, the darkness in her will awaken? God that would be more dramatic...I hope I am wrong though....

Well whatever it is, I'm glad the next instalment is the final chapter for Lucius and Amelia because I just want to settle down with their happy ending LOL and I want them to go back to earth since it would be nice to see Amelia's parents again.

P.S. Lucius....that's not a good decision you have in the end....urgh...

More twists for our couple Amelia and Lucius

I am reading this series and enjoying reading about Lucius and Amelia. There are so many twists and turns that you just don’t know who really is the puppet master of this vendetta against our main characters. I liked book ten, the last one, this book eleven is not my favorite because it reviewed so much of what has already happened. I get that if there are new to the series readers, but for us loyalists, the repetition was too much. I liked the part of the storyline about the new realm with King Auburne, Vena, and Car’neau. However once Amelia was lost in a void, the author seemed to abandon the whole reason that Lucius and Car’neau went to his brother’s realm to fight against the madness of their uncle. What happened there? How are they going to work together to defeat this Uncle? Instead we ended up with more secrets between the main couple as they only discuss what they should be talking to each other about in their internal dialogue. Disappointed.

Ok so after being disappointed with the last book I started this one with trepidation. I am glad to say I was hooked and read it in 2 days. I love the relationship Lucius and Amelia have, so it was great to read about them joking together again like in earlier books.
The author using conjunctions to start sentences was still an issue in this book. On one page 5 sentences out of 7 started with but, because, yet, however or then again. It made the whole page read like one continuous thought. It’s probably just a small point but once you’ve noticed it it is super annoying and ruins the enjoyment of the book. The other issues from the previous book were gone though and as always the story was exciting, steamy and funny. I’m looking forward to the final book in the series.

Amelia and Lucius;

Ugh I can’t believe we have to wait until the end of May!! On one hand I can’t wait to read it and finish the series, but then I really don’t want it all to end. Thankfully I still have a few of Stephanie’s books I haven’t read. I absolutely love Amelia and Lucius’ series. I love their characters and the love for one another. Oh about all these new kings popping up now in other realms. Does this mean Stephanie you are going to continue on in this world you’ve created?? Please please please say YES!! I would love to see Pip meet King Audubon’s (yes, I forgot her name) sister. Plus I’m dying to know who she ends up with. Is it going to be Trice? Hummm... I wonder???

Man I’m over it

I’m tired of Lucius keeping things a secret. It literally never turns out right in the end. They don’t learn from their mistakes clearly. It’s so irritating. Lucius and Amelia constantly operate separately and it constantly turns out worse in the end.

Now I’m amped Fae has a new power. I can’t wait to see how all her powers play out in the last book. I’m excited and ready for it. And I can’t wait to see Darlene. I have to know their story. Especially with the hint that she killed their child and is the reason Judas was killed.

Over all this was a slower paced book and it feels like it kind of dragged. And there were quite a few typos and grammatical errors. Which was surprising since all other books, there was nearly no issues.

Best laid plans!

I'm going to feel mean for saying this but Amelia is an increasing liability & her obsession with hurtling off to do the exact opposite of what she's been told is getting a bit old. I don't know how Lucius puts up with her! So she's now got another power source, making her a formidable entity, which she is going to need judging from the strength of the opposition they are about to face. I hope that Lucius gets back to being a bit more bad-ass as he's spent a lot of the last couple of books he seems to have stepped off his Alpha role. Let's hope for a stonking finale.

Absolutely brilliant! Laughed, cried, cheered, T11 will be one of favs of all the Transfusion books!

Stephanie this by far was so amazing in the entire Transfusion saga! It will be one of my favorites and I cannot wait for T12! Thank you for your amazing storylines. This captured me from beginning to the Epilogue. Laughed, cried, cheered, held my breath, and was overjoyed on how this panned out. Oh but that Epilogue...Lucius oh man not sure you are making a smart move there lol! Thanks Stephanie! ❤️💜🖤

Holy moly!

So I patiently waited for this book after the devastation at the end of the last one. I knew this book would be a dollar coaster but hadn’t expected the utter genius that was this story. I think this book was the scariest of them all so far, it was disturbing and painful. Thanks fully between that we got some of the good stuff *sigh* Lucius love! However again, the ending, I was not expecting what Lucius had planned. Amelia is gonna be mad and I can’t wait for the next book. Stephanie Hudson you are my hero! X

Another 5 star read but worth so many more

Will Amelia and Lucias ever get their happy times for longer than a few days hell scrap that. For longer than a few hours. I actually very nearly broke my kindle in a certain place in this book.
Emotions will be spent but it is worth it.
Another enemy to fight off but this one is so much more and to defeat him Amelia has to do something she never would have believed.
A dragon king. A vampire king. A wraith king and those swoon full Scottish brothers.
Loved every single page.
Can’t wait for the final instalment

I wish he would quit keeping things from her!

This was another great installment of Amelia & Lucius' story. Amelia is even more badass now and Lucius is still keeping things from her. Oh the frustration!! But isn't that typical, never learning from past mistakes? I think the next book is the last one in their story & I hope it comes to a happily ever after for my girl. I hope she finally gets to show everyone who has underestimated her, her entire life, just what a badass she truly is!!

Goodness, I can't believe it took me 25 books to realize how unbearable this was, and I suppose it's what happens when you release a new book every month. I must admire the dedication the author has, but I will forever be scared of my 2020 reader-self and traumatized by the long long pages of these books.
Not gonna lie, I kinda want to read this again and finish the series just so I can find out what happens at the end (I spent all that time reading I might as well find out). Then again, I can just search for spoilers <\3

another cliff hanger

In my past reviews I've always raved about how descriptive the story lines are. But between chapters 1-10 in this book it was very tedious . I almost gave up on this book...... But don't give up, carry on reading. The love that pours out and the horrors that she faces are brutal . But I'm glad the wraith has changed hands. Now if they could just deal with the witch that started all this.

.. and the roller coaster ride continues ...

OMG! ... That was a nerve-wracking ride.
As soon as Lucius and Amelia are happily reunited, they are separated again. This time through death personally. I don't want to spoil too much; just this: it will be dark, bloody and nightmarish for Amelia.

And in the end ... Lucius makes the same mistake again by withholding (important) information. It remains exciting.- The end of prophecy is near ...

Wow what a read, seriously I love this series. Amelia has more downs to come but will Lucius be able to save her this time?
Amazing story, plot and characters. Absolutely loads of angst, some real heartbreaking moments, some very sweet moments, along with very steamy love scenes. Some grammatical errors but nothing too bad. I can’t wait for the conclusions and to see what happens to our chosen ones. Highly recommend

Love her books

Love love love all her books. I sometimes expect the books tp go further than they do. It’s like each book is a section of what the character is going through. I had expired this book to get past her struggle sooner than she did but the entire book was her going through one issue.
Man I’d love for this to be made a show one day though ugh

What a nightmare

Faith is what saves our Amelia from her latest nightmare. Separated yet again from Lucius but will she die chased by the wraith nightmares. Can this be the situation she can’t extract herself from. Being Chosen doesn’t seem safe for this human. Or has Hell and the Fae lands altered her stamina and human soul for good?

Some spoilers!!

Although this one wasn’t left in a cliffhanger, at this point I think it was just dragging on the series. I mean, don’t get me wrong, Stephanie knows how to write her books. However, at this stage, you would think Amelia would get a clue and stop explaining away Lucius’ doucheness where she is concerned. Also, she needs to stop placing herself in peril

Fear of wraiths

Wow done it again.
Bork! remind me not to eat steak anytime soon.
Story is winding up don't know how much more I can take. But now he's going to leave her without telling her. Why can't these people talk to each other workout they are stronger together than trying to protect each other.

Wait. Let me catch my breath. Whew! Now THAT is a story! Loved it from beginning to end. You truly see the strength or will and depth of love Amelia and Lucius have. I was anxious, afraid, sad, relieved, overjoyed, and empowered. Absolutely loved this one! But, of, course, one of them needs a slap upside the end at the end - really? Communication people!!
