DNF. I have recently made the decision to pursue becoming Catholic after 5+ decades of exploring many different religions and traditions. This is my first year of actively participating in Lent activities. A woman I know from the church I attend bought this book and posted a picture of it on Facebook. I expressed interest in it, so we - along with another friend of mine - decided to all read it together and then check in once a week to discuss it.

This was such a good Lenten read. Each week follows a different holy person, mostly modern, all inspiring. Each day tells some of the story of the "saint of the week" and includes prayer prompts based on that person's life as well as on the scripture reading for the day. It also includes space for daily journaling.

What a beautiful introduction to marginalized saints of the Catholic Church, as well as an invitation to reflect.
