This volume definitely wasn't as interesting as the past ones. I guess that mainly has to do with how everything was pretty smooth sailing, which I suppose just doesn't quite do it for me? I don't know, I guess I prefer a little more drama lol. What I do know is that I'm not a fan of Sae's comeback story so far, and it's beyond irritating seeing some model go crazy over, mostly because of how it was founded on her horrid lies. At least it's nice to see Momo and Toji happy.

Momo and Toji are kind of boring when the only thing standing between them is irrelevant stuff like whether Toji's going to give Momo the "ILY" sign in class. I'm a bad person.

Flat Sae is funny. I also actually feel pity for this deflated little creature when the other girls pick on her, or when she falls all over herself to try to get into Momo's good graces. Well done, Ueda! It's been quite a while since I last read these, but I assume Sae doesn't look this way forever, and she becomes more like her old self when the stars align her way again.

Blazing through this series because I remember certain scenes from the sneak peeks I read 15 years ago that drew me to decide to read this series finally. Haven't gotten to those funny/emotional scenes yet. I really am not feeling the romance between Momo and Toji. A sprinkling of some cute little blush scenes, but otherwise this book has me rooting for the other side of the mandatory shojo manga love triangle.

Story: The perfect thing about this series is that it is a potential real life situation. There is bullying from the other people at school and misunderstandings set into a high school setting. This series is absolutely perfect for someone to read when they are that age and to realize that many people can make mistakes or take something the wrong way, especially in regards to relationships. There is a quite potent love triangle between Momo, a girl that gets bullied by others, Kairi (Kiley), a flirt of a guy, and Toji, a guy that is easily blindsided. It does not help anything that there is the slightly evil character of Sae that is always trying to get in Momo's way.

Drawing Style: One of my favorite things about the art style of Miwa UEDA is that she changes up the characters. Especially Momo, she always wears different clothing and has a different style of hair that is rarely seen in anime or manga.

Characters: The characters are highly in depth and developed throughout the series. They are all multi-dimensional with underlying reasons for how they come across and serious back stories that add to the series.

Overall: This is one of my favorite series by far, exceeding all of my previous expectations and blowing me away with the quality of production.

Stlh dikhotbah Kairi, akhirnya Momo balik ama Toji. Sementara Sae jadi zombie kertas dan di-bully cewe2 lainnya. Momo tdk tega melihatnya krn dia tau gmn rasanya berada di posisi itu sblmnya. So dia menawarkan pertemanan balik pada Sae, yg ditanggapi Sae dgn memperlakukan Momo ibarat bosnya dia yg harus selalu dilayani. Mungkin kamu pikir Sae sudah berubah, tapi tdk. Sifat dasar Sae tdk bisa berubah dlm semalam, ia masi tetap keki berat krn bkn dia yg punya pacar seperti Toji atau punya byk tmn seperti Momo (omong2 tuh tmn jg awalnya yg ikutan bully Momo loh?) dan harga dirinya yg tinggi bikin ia ga mo kalah dari Momo. Walaupun aku bingung, kok dia bisa segitu ga mo kalahnya dari Momo.
Tapi, lucunya, musim semi akhirnya tiba buat Sae. Model populer yg tampangnya bishounen abis dan digandrungi semua cewek itu jatuh cinta pada Sae, hahaha. Tentu saja Sae besar kepala krnnya, walaupun sbnrnya dia tdk minat dgn cowok model itu. Aku bertanya2, kira2 Sae bakal jatuh cinta dgn cowok yg seperti apa, mungkinkah dia bakal suka Kairi? Nah, kalo yg versi dramanya itu aku sudah lupa nantinya Sae bakal suka sama siapa, so seru juga baca komik ini krn ternyata plot yg kutahu itu cuma berhasil kuingat sampai titik tertentu saja, haha.

It’s finally happened- Sae’s true colors are exposed! Now Toji and MOmo can live happily ever after… but is that really how the story ends? Momo’s lost confidence in Toji and can’t stop thinking about how nice Kiley was to her when she needed a friend. Will Toji fight to get Momo back for good, or will he let love slip through his fingers?

Moc pěkná kresba, která se s každým volumkem zlepšovala. Jen se mi zdálo, že se někde v polovině změnily boty a trochu školní uniforma. Ale to je jen takový malý detail.

Zajímalo by mě, co měly naznačovat ty kresby na konci každé kapitoly. Momo na nich vypadala jako modelka, díky tomu vkusnému a draze vypadajícímu oblečení. Zprvu jsem si myslela, že to mají být nápovědy o tom, co se bude dít dál, ale vyšlo najevo, že s příběhem nijak nesouvisí. Což ze začátku vůbec nebylo jasná, takže mě to několik volumek hrozně mátlo.

Hlavní hrdinku Momo jsem ze začátku měla poměrně ráda, ale postupně se moje sympatie k ní pomalu mizely. Avšak mizely jen po krátkou dobu a můj vztah k ní byl stále mírně pozitivní. Obdivovala jsem ji za některá z jejich rozhodnutích a za to, jak zvládala nátlak od okolí. Někdy od čtvrtiny příběhu jsem ji najednou nechápala, dokonce jsem se nemohla dobrat k tomu, abych jí odpustila její činy, přestože tam byla zmínka o tom, že jí samotné přijde její chování divné.

Sae jsem nesnášela. Ze začátku to měla podle mě autorka v úmyslu, pak její chování začala omlouvat a my jsme jí měli odpustit. Pořád ale dělala špatné věci, díky kterým jsem ji nesnášela čím dál více. Úplně na konci se sice najednou chovala hrozně hezky, a dokonce pomáhala hlavní hrdince a ostatním. Dokonce i když udělala pár dobrých skutků, tak jsem jí nemohla odpustit, jelikož mi to nepřišlo uvěřitelné, aby se takhle zčistajasna změnila.

Příběh mě stále docela bavil i přesto, že tam byli krávoviny, které mě hrozně štvaly. A nepochopila jsem Momino přecházení od jednoho kluka ke druhému, protože to bylo kvůli prkotinám. Jako když se to stalo poprvé dalo se to poměrně dobře pochopit, ke všemu když to bylo i na delší dobu.

Žádnému z kluků jsem nefandila, neboť mi ani jeden nepřišel sympatický či aspoň dostačující. I když jsem asi měla radši Tojiho, jelikož to byla Momina první láska a zároveň mi to aspoň připadalo trochu opravdové.

Nečekala jsem, že tu budou i nějaké temné věci, které mě přinutí cítit znechucení nad lidstvem ( je ale fakt, že u mě to jde celkem snadno :D). Ale nevím, jestli je to plus či mínus, protože mi to nepřišlo moc uvěřitelné. Stejně jako to počáteční šikanování Momo. Ze začátku jak ji všichni nemají rádi, ale pak se najednou objeví holky, které řeknou, že za vše vždy může Sae, začnou se k ní všichni chovat hrozně mile a k Sae ošklivě. A to při tom od začátku věděli, kdo je k tomu podněcuje.

Obálky se mi nelíbí. Musím ale přiznat, že některé trochu dobře vypadají. Stále nechápu, proč tam Momo vypadá jako modelka. Myslím kvůli tomu oblečení a pózám.

The impossible has seemed to happen...Momo turns down Toji! Kiley is having none of it though. In his shining moment so far, he helps Momo focus on her true feelings and realize her love for Toji is still there and she was letting her fear get in the way of her true feelings. So the two quickly become a couple again. After being publicly humiliated and having the entire school turn on her, Sae is literally a shell of her former self. She's tiny and paper thin, and Momo takes pity of her and than befriends her once more; mostly out of guilt. Sae is unstoppable now though, always hovering over Momo and fawning over her. The two meet a photographer of a fashion magazine and Sae is booked for being a unique looking girl (being flat would be pretty special...) and Sae bags herself the hottest model after once again painting Momo as a monster.
I'm actually starting to warm up to Kiley. I was always Team Toji, and at the start of this re-read I was pretty firm in that belief. However, Kiley is starting to truly develop as a character instead of just the goofy sidekick. This was more of a transitional volume and low on the level of drama.

Interesting development in this book; Sae makes a strange comeback after being treated pretty terribly by everyone (reminds me a little bit of Flubber by Beverly Cleary). Continues to be a fun and engaging series though I feel like I can see where the series is going. Maybe Toji will get his act together and Momo will get better at being secretive and dramatic, but then there wouldn't be very much conflict to overcome.

Volume four has the tables turned on Sae while Momo and Toji iron out their relationship.

I like Kiley more than Toji, so my mood is meh when reading those scenes. I'm not sure I feel about the insertion of the model.

I do love the art, though. Miwa Ueda has a way with expressions and dynamic angles.

As I suspected, the story line was less gripping for me as Sae was now the victim. And I'm not quite sure how I feel about this model being the catalyst to getting Sae back to her scheming self... we'll have to see how volume 5 turns out

It was satisfying to see Sae getting the punishment, but will it make her change for the better?
Also it’s nice to see that Momo and Toji had problem-free summer holidays.
And she just conffessed to Kairi that she would be with him if she didn’t end up with Toji first. That must be hard on Kairi. And that obviously means that Toji is not the one and only for her.

3 stars. The first 2/3 it was enjoyable but nothing groundbreaking. I liked Momo finding out about Kiley helping her. Flat Sae was amusing until she latched on to Momo. I liked Momo not partaking in the bullying. The model thing annoyed me a lot.

Kairi y Toji son tan perfectos...¡Estoy demasiado enamorada de ellos dos! ¡No sé cuál me gusta más! La relación de Momo y Toji es tan tierna, me alegro mucho por ellos y los momentos que pasan juntos son tan adorables que no puedo evitar sonreír cada vez que los veo juntos. ¡Y Kairi es tan divertido! No he parado de reír con él xD
Las cosas van tan bien que tengo miedo de leer el siguiente tomo, no estoy preparada para que Sae ataque de nuevo. Lo siento, pero no me da ninguna pena y no estoy lista para que vuelva a hacer de las suyas (reconozco que la odio un poco y ahora sé que va a volver más fuerte que nunca y no estoy preparada para sufrir otra vez por su culpa)
