Welcome to Bright Harbor, the charming coastal town where new beginnings are as likely as the changing tide …
Faith Sutherland is stuck. Recently divorced, she’s lost her passion for her job as a chef at the high-scale San Francisco restaurant she works for. So when the opportunity arises for Faith to fill in as a temporary cook at a small inn along the Washington coast, she jumps at it.
Charlotte has worked at her parents’ inn for all of her adult life. With her dad’s recent passing she’s been taking on more responsibilities than ever to allow her mother time to grieve. With her siblings busy pursuing their passions and her closest friends starting families of their own, Charly can’t help but feel that life is quickly passing her by.
Faith and Charly soon strike up a friendship and Charly’s brother Logan takes an eager interest in the pretty new chef. When the time comes for Faith to make a decision about whether to stay in Bright Harbor or return to her life in San Francisco, she’s torn. Her old boss has offered a substantial raise to entice her back, but Charly and her newfound friends in Bright Harbor offer something Faith never knew she was missing until she found it—a sisterhood.
Holly Stevenson loves to read, eat out, watch movies, and spend time with family and friends. As a former flight attendant, she has plenty of traveling hours under her belt, but never tires of exploring new places. Holly has a weakness for any combination of chocolate and caramel. She rarely sleeps in, preferring the early morning quiet to accommodate her incurable writing addiction. She is blessed to live with her favorite people: her husband and four kids, in a house overlooking the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
The Westfields needed a new chef for their Inn, since Mr. Westfield passed away. Faith was discontented with her job. She was lonely after her divorce, even her apartment did not feel like home anymore.
Absolutely loved this book!! Holly Stevenson tells a wonderful story of renewing a love of life and of course romance. I can’t wait for the next book.
I was given this advanced copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.
This was a great story! It was fun to get to know the characters in the book. To see where they were in their life at the beginning and to see where they were at the end. It talked about the importance of having others you can rely on and help and they can in turn rely on and help you. Sometimes romantic relationships build from this. But the most important thing to do is to find happiness in yourself and be the best you. Wherever you need to be to do that. I was given a free copy of this book for an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.
The Inn at Bright Harbor certainly brightened my day with characters that I’d want for my own friends. There was a fun group of friends who enjoyed monthly girls’ only movie nights. There was a loving family that turned guests into friends and welcomed them into their inn with gracious hospitality. There were young men and women whose hearts were kind and trustworthy that were seeking their soulmates with different degrees of success. And in this book there was a swoon-worthy romance that made me so happy. I can’t wait to return to Bright Harbor as this series develops. Highly recommend! I was entrusted with a copy of this book by the author and this is my voluntarily-given and honest review.
This book made me want to go stay at the Inn at Bright Harbor, The Inn and the characters pulled me right into the story and I really enjoyed learning about Faith and her past. I think her name was very appropriate for the story.
I also enjoyed the Westfield family, who owned the Inn. Rose had recently lost her husband and needed a cook to try to fill his shoes at the Inn. Faith was recommended by her foster mom. Faith was such a special person, trying to find herself after having gone through a divorce. She helped Rose in her grief.
It was also fun to see Faith with Charly and Logan. She seemed to be able to touch everyone's lives. The epilogue was interesting too. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
This chick flick was a great introduction to the new town of Bright Harbor. The characters are engaging, the town is cute and quaint, and there is so much potential for future stories. I have so much good to say about this story in particular. It was the perfect chick flick. There was some miscommunication and trust issues which the characters work through. I would have loved to see more resolution after the conflict but that was a small part of the whole picture. I loved how Faith Sunderland overcame her past insecurities to become someone ready for a relationship. All of the characters have their unique quirks and I am looking forward to them finding their happily ever afters in future books.
Faith and Logan have both been hurt in the wrong relationships, can they let down their defenses for one that might just be right? Fun, feel-good romance in a dreamy, idyllic locale. The perfect job falls in Faith's lap at the perfect time - with the family she never had. But nothing is ever that easy, right? Full of humor, adventure, amazing pastries, and just enough conflict and angst to keep things from being too saccharine this read was a wonderful escape.
This is the first of (hopefully!) many books in Bright Harbor and did a beautiful job creating a wonderful place to escape with many lovely friends! Lots of hints about things that may be to come for this group of friends. The books in this series can be read independently, but have an interconnected group of characters and setting. Loved the ending - can't wait to read Charly's story!
Faith really needs a new start but will she find it at The Inn at Bright Harbor? This book was about finding love, friends and starting over. While I like Faith and Logan I loved Charly and am anxiously awaiting her book. This was a little different to me in that it is really two stories intertwined - Faith and Logan but also Charly and a possible love connection. Really enjoyed getting to know the characters even Kirsten and Nick. Honestly I'm not sure I want Charly with Nick. Of course there are a few bumps but we get a hea.
I received this book as an ARC for review. The book was entertaining and kept my interest throughout the entire book. It was a clean read and love story. The ending was a little disappointing in that it left questions which I assume will be resolved in the next book. I personally am not a big fan of this but it doesn't distract from the story. I like Holly's books and this book does not disappoint. I recommend it highly.
Fait’s hasn’t been easy from the beginning, foster homes, a mean ex-husband and an stressful job in a fancy restaurant in San Francisco. Will she find happiness and love and finally feels as she coming home in Brigth Harbor? She will work for a month as a chef but all the people in Bright Harbor make her feel cherished, specially Charly and Logan. Will they convince Faith she really belongs? Sweet
The Inn at Bright Harbor By Holly Stevenson Main Characters: Faith and Logan I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author. 5 out of 5 stars I especially loved all the characters in this book. This was a nice clean, sweet romance with some angst thrown in. This had a few strong women in it standing up for each other. Looking forward to more from Holly.
New series starts, FULL of sweet romance! Holly Stevenson is a talented author who did a fantastic job kicking off this new series! A story of new friendship, a sudo family, and a budding romance. I love the bits of humor and chemistry between Logan and Faith. Your heart will start pumping in anticipation when their relationship gets tested. A fast paced easy read you won’t want to put down! Can’t wait for the next story in Bright Harbor!
I received an ARC to review: Holly narrates an enchanting tale about small-town characters that will steal your heart! Although it is a romance, there is a healthy dose of reality and the characters have faced some tough times - which infuses the story with authenticity. A simply delightful, clean read that will have you feeling all warm and gooey! The book ends with an intro to the next book ... One that I am dying to read!!!
This is another great book by Holly! Faith had grown up in foster care and was treated badly by her ex-husband. When she saw an ad about needing a chef at the Inn in Bright Harbor, she contacted the owner, Rose. She decided to take a month off and see how the job worked out in Bright Harbor.
What a wonderful start to a new series! This book was so good, once you start reading it you can't put it down. Faith and Logan's story is a sweet heartwarming small town romance that you don't want to miss. I loved this book!
I loved this book! Such a great read with wholesome characters each with great stories. I love small town stories and this one didn't disappoint. I couldn't put this one down. I would definitely recommend this book! I received an ARC for review.
Loved!! So cute! Loved the characters and the descriptions of the place! Makes me want to go visit! I guess if it is a real place?! Ah! I love how I get submerged into their lives and feel like they are real people! And hello! I need to know what happens with Charly!!! Where is the next book!?
I loved this book! Such a sweet romance. I love that Faith, who was brought up in the foster care system, finally found a family in Bright Harbor. I also love that she found love with someone on her level - Logan, a pilot who has mean baking skills can keep up with her amazing chef skills. Charly, Logan's sister is the sister Faith never had, and Rose, their mother, the mother she never had. Such a great book and story.
“Her heart was caught on Nick’s hook and if she ever hoped to move on, she would have to fight to break free from his pull.”
I totally loved the small town setting that featured delightful characters that called the sea life home. The author used rich vivid details that kept me yearning for more of the story. Totally recommend this first book in a new series by Holly Stevenson.
The Inn at Bright Harbor by Holly Stevenson is a sweet clean romance. Bright Harbor sounds like a place I’d like to live as I grew up in a similar place in Oregon.
Faith, raised in foster care, divorced from a cheating husband takes a job on a trial basis to get away. Logan is the son and fill in chef. He can’t wait to get back to his own business as a seaplane pilot. There is an attraction between them but they’ve both been hurt. Will they trust each other and give love a chance?
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is a great start to what I can already tell will be an addicting series. Faith is well, faithless and finds friendship and acceptance in picturesque Bright Harbor. Logan is all kinds of faithful and swoony. He cooks. He bakes. Swoony. As Faith befriends Charly we find both of them searching for happiness. Faith finds hers. Charly’s story will be next. I like that we are very much invested in Charly in the book. Looking forward to the next part of this sweet drama!!!
This was a great start to a new series. I enjoyed having the chapters go back and forth between the 2 friends. It was good to have the prospective of both. I'm glad that Faith finally found a place she could call home! Looking forward to move books in the series.
