The cliché goes, “You can’t judge a book by its cover.” But this one, you can. It was a fun, unpretentious read. And the goofy cartoons on the page sides elevated it to four stars for me.

A book I liked in spite of myself. It was fun and funny, and sometimes sad. The saying "God takes care of fools and little children" came to mind while reading this. Then again, he (they? which they?) did their trip, had wonderful adventures, and met the cycling for life companion. Next time someone comes up with an excuse for not doing the trip, point them to this book. But not as a how-to, more a how-not-to.
