“If Liam Lawson professed himself a Bad Bad Boy, then a Bad Bad Girl should be born at midnight, and some people in Richstone would find themselves her target.”

I am not educated enough to give any sound advice to authors, but writing about high school romance doesn’t necessarily mean you have to write like a teenager. I get the drill about getting into the headspace of your characters but just...no.
Despite my unrelenting claims of avoiding all high school enemies to lovers books, I greedily added this to my bookshelf because I knew it was going to be a bad bad book *wink, wink, nudge, nudge* just from reading the title. What can I say, I am a glutton for punishment. The W O R S T kind of punishment.

So what is this book about. Well, to be honest I’m not sure myself, but from I’ve gathered from the 116 pages of torture I had to endure (willingly) it’s about the Riches (the privileged kids) and the Rats (kids from the poor side of town)😐 Its about a friend (Phoebe) seeking revenge for the murder of her best friend (Flora) from her boyfriend (Liam) because he somehow precipitated the tragic event that killed her best friend.

Hmm, this might be a good read. You think? Did I forget to mention this is a high school romance? With bloody child-eating teenagers as the main characters? Still sounds interesting? Well, I guess you are still on the cusp of stepping into ~blissful~ adulthood if this sounds appealing to you.

Phoebe: Belongs to the wealthy side of Richstone river.

Liam: Belongs to the poor side of Richstone river. He was accepted into Richstone Academy (God knows if I know how) along with his three friends, Daniel, Brett and Marlon. They’re the Rats 😐 and they make a pact to ensnare and corrupt the rich girls to better their lives.😐

Phoebe’s best friend, Flora, got into an argument with her boyfriend, Daniel, and she took off down the street. Daniel and Phoebe chased after her in his car, however when they found Flora, a car started beeping for them to get out of the way, afraid that his car was going to be damaged he lost control of his senses and pressed on the accelerator and hit Flora, who died on impact...not to sound callus but if only killing teenagers was this easy. Not able to withstand the loss of losing his girlfriend, he committed suicide on the spot.

”He looked at me again and mouthed he was sorry. Before he took the blade from his pocket and stabbed it hard through his own neck. I needed him to have missed his vital veins, but he hadn’t. Blood spurted out covering me, covering the thankfully unconscious Phoebe in my arms. He dropped to the floor. Dead not twenty seconds later.”

The important question is why was he carrying a blade on him? Not my problem, I guess.

Let’s talk about Phoebe Ridley 😍 what a Queeeen. She is everything I wish every teen girl was...notttt! Ignorant. Superficial. A nuisance!!! But above all she is disgustingly dumb. I want you all to experience her dumbness firsthand so here is an example:

“Our dear Flora always loved a makeover and I know that she is watching over me now getting excited about what I’m about to say.” I swallowed because the thought brought a lump to my throat. “I’m going to finally stop being meek little Phoebe who just hangs with her best friends and sits on the sidelines hoping for a quiet life and to escape from Richstone. I think it’s time I channelled my inner diva and took over Richstone Academy as their new Queen Bee. My mother heads that school and I shall rule the halls.”

Meanwhile Flora in the grave:

And not to mention our dear Phoebe is a mountaineer humaneer:

”I climbed up his body with his assistance, my arms wrapping around his neck as my legs wrapped around his hips.”

This immediately brought to my mind this visual:

Talking about Liam Lawson; a grown up beyond his years, according to his Uncle Karl. But apparently Uncle Karl doesn’t know shit because this grown up does questionable things like:

“I found myself staring at Casey, the girl from the party at Ulric’s house who I’d got drunk and used so I could get my revenge on Bailey Trainor, Ulric’s arsehole friend.”

“Then he pulled out, pushed me to the side of the stall and fastened himself away. He picked up my discarded clothes and threw them in the sink switching the tap on. I watched helplessly as my clothes sank under the weight of water.”

“The moment she came through the door I craved being inside her beyond words.”

What a bunch of lunatics.

Bad Bad Girl by Angel Devlin a good, good five-star read. This is number two I the Rats of Richstone series and they are best read in order as they do follow a great story line. My goodness, I laughed I cried, my heart sunk, at one point I was even talking out loud looking like a crazy person, and then laughing like an even crazier person. Phoebe Ridley is one to watch out for, they always say it is the quiet ones to watch, what an unbelievably deep and dramatic story. It has twists that will keep you gasping and a story that will keep you hooked.

Bad Bad Girl by Angel Devlin pulled me deep into the world of riches and rats, secrets and new beginnings, deceits and redemption, love and hate. And I didn't come up for air till I turned the last page. This new adult enemies to lovers romance has left its mark on my soul for sure.

Phoebe is tired of being the good girl of Richstone. After losing her best friend Flora and her boyfriend and one of the rats from Sharrow Manor, she is determined to take revenge on every single person who has hurt her, manipulated her and made her life a living hell. Liam, the leader of the boys from the other side of the track, isn't innocent. And Phoebe is divided between her love and hate. Liam's plan of using the rich girl as an escape from his poor life has failed because he has fallen for the girl. But they have so many games to play and enemies to beat before they can even think of a new life away from Richstone.

If book one was Liam's, this book is undoubtedly Phoebe's. The author expertly played on our fantasy of the underdog becoming the winner as Phoebe decided to reach deep inside her soul and gather the courage to go after all the corrupt and evil persons in Richstone. Be it her abusive parents. Be it the school's bully queen Ivy. Be it school's king Ulric who destroyed so many innocent hearts. I love this version of fierce Phoebe because she didn't lose her compassion and her soft heart. She ruthlessly planned against the enemies and mercilessly eliminated them but never ever lost her beautiful soul. Liam had a lot to grovel for and I was dying for this broken bad boy. This book was about him finding out the more precious thing that all the money in the world- true love and happiness. He is still the dark soul but the light is shining bright. The dramatic storyline with twists and turns and mind games will keep your eyes glued to the pages. Liam and Phoebe's story was messy and intense and sometimes impossible. They hurt each other and you will be afraid that its too much heartbreak to recover from but they are soulmates. Because Phoebe knows the amazing man behind the anger, the bitterness and the frustration. Because Liam knows the bad bad girl behind sweetness.

Bad Bad Girl by Angel Devlin was a heartaching and angsty story with so much emotions and sizzling hot passion. It was a different kind of take on enemies to lovers new adult romance and I enjoyed it so much.

Bad Bad Girl is a high school bully, opposites attract romance. It's book two of The Rats of Richstone series. This is the conclusion to Liam Lawson and Pheobe Riddley's duet, so book one must be read first.

Book one ended with a heck of a cliff hanger and Devlin did not disappoint in delivering book two. It starts off just as unpredictable and entertaining. Their journey was full of heart ache, twists, angst, and so much more.

Liam is still callous, nutty, but now he's a little more broken, angry, and bitter. His loyalty to his friends never waivers but now he carries guilt over bringing them over to the riches and all they've had to endure. Liam's starting to become lost, as his plans are not going anything as he'd expected, especially with Phoebe.

Phoebe is not the same girl we met. She's consumed with anger and her need for revenge. Hatred has taken over almost completely and is what drives her. Her enemies shouldn't under estimate her and her new found passion.

With their need for revenge, they lose sight of their actual end goal and how to get there. They're working against each other and are struggling to get back to what they were building. One step forward, two steps back.

Overall I really enjoyed this book, I just wish we could have had a little more detail in the epilogue; what happened to their parents, their education, their careers, etc. There is a teaser at the end for the next book in the series, I am looking forward to reading it and I'm hoping this means all the supporting characters are getting their ownbooks too!

Let me start at the end.

I liked the ending. No, I FLOVED the ending. Those last few chapters were mostly amazing. I ended up adoring the man Liam became and the woman Phoebe became was much more tolerable. I was happy with their ending and what was implied about the future.

But I didn't like either one of them throughout most of BOTH books in this duet. I actually liked them more in Bad Bad Boy, because at least their animosity was fiiiiire. I was so frustrated with them. Liam was too chicken to speak his mind because he's a "rat" while Phoebe was too immature thinking she was a "bad girl" just because she had some ridiculous ideas everyone went along with. FFS. 🤦‍♀️

I'm not going to say more. Credit is due. The writing is fantastic, the plot is full, the development is spot on. I just did NOT like the FMC and MMC. That's on me. Hence why I still 4-coffeed (hahahaha) this book because I know it deserves the love. 🤘

Liam and phoebe are back in the concluding part of the rats of richstone duet and bad bad girl was everything I hoped it would be and more this duet isn’t just your average bully romance it’s so much more than that this duet makes you think outside the box of what life can be like between the two worlds of the rich and privileged and those that aren’t

I had so many emotions whilst reading this concluding part of this fantastic duet Angel devlin has an incredible unique talent for throwing the ultimate curveballs into her releases and you will not see them coming this book is filled with suspense, heartbreak, secrets, lies, deceit and so much more

Bad bad girl is unputdownable and o can’t recommend this duet enough

Bad Bad Girl is the second book in The Rats of Richstone duet and picks up where the first book left off with that crazy intense cliffhanger that came out of left field. I swear my jaw almost hit the floor...it was insane! I honestly struggled to get through most of the first book. It just didn’t work for me and I admit I was hesitant starting this story. I didn't have very high hopes, but this book was so good! The drama, suspense, overload of angst...it was all there. The author nailed it with this follow up!

Phoebe has had enough of Richstone and can’t wait to get the hell out of dodge as soon as she graduates. But she has a few scores to settle before she leaves and never looks back. Growing up with the rich and elite wasn’t always as glamourous as it seemed. So many secrets, lies and abuse but when her friends were violently taken from her Phoebe Ridley finally breaks. Revenge is the only thing that will fix what has been broken.

“I’d allowed myself until midnight. As the new day dawned, it was time for Phoebe Ridley to wake up from this nightmare for long enough to wreak revenge on all those responsible and all those who thought I was a pawn in their game.”

This book grabbed me and pulled me in right from the start. I wasn’t sure how Liam would fit in at times because the main focus of this book was wrapped tightly around Phoebe’s insatiable need for revenge. But he fit in perfectly when and where he was needed the most. We saw a different side of Phoebe and I was a big fan of how the author peeled back all the layers of her character. We saw a different side of Liam as well. He was no longer just a rat from the wrong side of the tracks. He was so much more. I love the growth both of these characters had.

“I might let Phoebe know that she was under my skin. That when I was with her, the darkness wasn’t so bad.”

A ton of shit happened in this book. It was fast paced and in your face. There were times so much was going on that I did get a little confused and parts were lost on me. But the author pulls us right back into the chaos and puts us back on track. The ending wrapped up Phoebe and Liam’s story perfectly, and I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

What a fantastic conclusion to this must-read duet.

It goes without saying that you need to have read Bad Bad Boy prior to this book, as this second part of the story follows on from that fabulous cliffhanger of an ending. The twists and turns throughout this instalment had me unable to put my kindle down - especially during the second half of the book.

I loved how my thoughts and feelings towards all the characters changed throughout. I was constantly second guessing myself over who was trustworthy and who was not. There were times when I would like a character and then something would happen that made me change my mind and I loved this. That final scene… OMG pure genius writing in my opinion. Like them or not (and there were times when I didn't!) Liam and Phoebe are incredible leading characters. I couldn’t help but enjoy witnessing their journeys throughout the whole story.

The Rats of Richstone duet is considerably more than your typical rags to riches or high school bully romance. This story is packed full of angst, manipulations, love, heartache, destruction, hate, friendships, secrets, lies, ambitions and so much more. Alongside Liam and Phoebe are many secondary characters who added to the storyline perfectly. The sexual tension between Liam and Phoebe is palpable. I loved witnessing their time together; seeing their feelings for each other develop, and discovering how all this affected their individual endgames.

I highly recommend this duet to you to read. I cannot wait to read Beautiful Broken Boy which is Marlon’s story and is coming later this year. I’m so pleased my time with this intriguing group of individuals hasn’t come to an end.

Another great book written by Angel Devlin! Bad Bad Girl was full of revenge, emotion, and redemption.

These characters pick up right where it left off from Bad Bad Boy. Things have definitely changed for both Phoebe and Liam. You can instantly feel the energy giving off of Pheobe right off the bat! She has so much hate in her, it’s definitely interesting to see. You also get a different Liam in this book. He is more than just the boy from Sharrow. A lot of twist and turns happen that at times I was questioning how it might end. Angel Devlin definitely keeps you on your toes with this one. These are such a great group of characters to read about with such a different story. This book is not like a book I’ve read in a very good way!

I definitely recommend this book. If you’ve already read Bad Bad Boy continue to Bad Bad Girl, it’s a great conclusion to this duet. If you are seeing this first, go read Bad Bad Boy, you will get sucked in with the thrill if it all!

Holy smokes Bad Bad Boy totally left us with a heck of a cliffhanger and Bad Bad Girl picked up right where it ended and threw you right into the deep end! Phoebe and Liam have everything against them, and this is a freaking uphill battle for them but both our favorite characters change throughout this book and it is an AWESOME story!

All in all this was an interesting take on opposites attract romances and corruption and it is MINDBLOWING the twists that Angel Devlin includes. I was hooked from the beginning and REALLY liked how everything played out. I totally recommend you checking it out!

PS: Thank you to Angel Devlin and Candi Kane PR for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly.

In Bad Bad Girl, book two of The Rats of Richstone duet, it continues from where the cliffhanger of book one ended.

Phoebe, Liam and company are dealing with the aftermath of that dreadful cliffhanger. Unfortunately, it wasn’t just Flora’s life in danger. The entire tragedy pushes Phoebe to not just want an out of Richstone but to completely ruin those people that caused such pain in her life.

Will Liam be one of those as well?

Liam, on the other hand, is feeling guilty due to everything that has happened and wants his revenge too. Throughout the book, Liam worries about Phoebe as she becomes detached and obsessed with getting revenge. Has the heart belonging to this Rat of Sharrow Manor softened? For a Richstone girl?

Phoebe and Liam’s chemistry was grade A and I enjoyed reading about how they were both going to achieve their goal: leave their hometowns behind and move onto bigger & better things.
There is a happy ending among all the crazy, revenge filled antics. Also, I am excited for the next story in the Richstone & Sharrow Manor world.

BAD BAD GIRL by Angel Devlin is book two in the Rats of Richstone. This continues the story of Phoebe Ridley and Liam Lawson which started in the first book 'Bad Bad Boy'. So, you really should read that one first to fully enjoy this one. This book does pick up where we left off and this book turns to Phoebe. Phoebe lost a lot in the previous book that has of course changed her mind set. Now she is out for revenge and to leave Richstone as soon as she can. Liam is feeling the impact of what he set in motion in the previous book. This makes their path a rocky one. I can't wait to read more from this author.

'Bad Bad Girl' is book 2 in a series and I couldn't wait to read it, following the cliff hanger end of book 1. The wait was worth it, this book was a great read. Note: you must read book 1 before reading this one.

A well written bully romance, full of great characters, steamy chemistry, a great plot and a happy ending. What more could you want? Liam and Phoebe come from different ends of society but they both find out money doesn't buy everything. Everyone has their challenges no matter their level of privilege.

Bad Bad Girl is the second instalment in The Rats of Richstone series by Angel Devlin.
The story continues off from the first part Bad Bad Boy, which ended in a cliffhanger. Just like the first book, the story is told through dual perspectives of the lead characters Phoebe and Liam.

I can honestly say the way the story started off with a Big Bang was unexpected! With the way Bad Bad Boy ended, I thought that was explosive! But Angel Devlin dropped the mic with the bigger explosion that is delivered to us all within the first chapter of Bad Bad Girl. It definitely had me gobsmacked thinking WTH?!
From then onwards I couldn’t help but dive in deeper to the story, to see and know how the ripples from the explosion would affect the story throughout.

The story did have it all with the emotions and feelings being poured out from the pages. Alongside so much angst, to the point of being frustrated and annoyed. Plus the suspense and mystery with wondering and waiting to know and find out everything.
I enjoyed following Phoebe and Liam story throughout. Not just as individuals, but also within their relationship. And given the tragedy, we definitely see a big change in both Phoebe and Liam throughout compared to them in Bad Bad Boy.
Leading them on a journey of self-discovery and growth, learning even more about themselves when it came to their strengths and weaknesses. But also finding their own footing for their future, considering everything that is going on in their lives and dealing with.

There was definitely a lot to take in and absorb considering everything that was happening and going on throughout the story.
The fact that even though the book was Phoebe and Liam’s story, there were still many parts and pieces that came from the secondary characters such as Marlon, Brett, Daphne, Ulric, Ivy etc. Showing us how they all as puzzle pieces fitted together within the main narrative, always connecting and/or leading back to Phoebe and Liam.

While I did enjoy the story overall, at times it did feel a little tedious trying to keep on top of everything. Considering all that was going on at the same time. Whilst I get that it was essential to the overall story, I would’ve preferred to focus mainly on Phoebe and Liam, just because it did become too much trying to absorb every single detail with all the information given. Plus it prolonged the story more, with the pace being slowed down even more.
And given everything that had been put into the story with all the details, I would’ve thought and hoped everything connecting to Liam and Phoebe would’ve been tied up in regards to the outcomes. However, that didn’t seem to be the case, considering there were still a few loose ends that weren’t tied up by the ending IMO.

Overall, I enjoyed reading Bad Bad Girl. Especially the perfectly wrapped present with a neat bow that we were given in the form of Phoebe and Liam’s epilogue consisting of their HEA.
With that said, I can’t wait to read Angel Devlin’s next instalment within the series from the next character mentioned at the end of Bad Bad Girl!

Bad Bad Girl is book 2 in this duet, the completion of Phoebe and Liam’s story; it will take you on an emotional rollercoaster.

Phoebe is out for revenge and she makes that very clear, there is no moving on until the people who destroyed her friend’s future is ruined. Liam feels guilty, he blames everything bad that has happened in Richstone is because of his actions. Finding peace is something that both Phoebe and Liam need to work on and if that is apart or together it’s a decision they need to make, affecting both their futures.

I personally enjoyed this story, Phoebe was fuelled by grief and anger throughout this story, there were times when I was almost confused at where they were at. The minor characters throughout this book have been great and I look forward to more from them in the future.

Checkmate

We start off with Phoebe, 16 days after watching her newly pregnant best friend, Flora, killed right in front of her due to an accident, but one in which haunts her. Too many "what if's" racing through her head. One in which she points directly at Liam, the one who created the chessboard, the pact, and made her a pawn along with all of her friends to include Flora.

Liam, unknowingly on Phoebe's radar, has his own eyes set on Ulric, who he deems to be primarily responsible for the accident that occurred leading towards three deaths. However, Ulric is already on the newly laid chessboard that has Phoebe in play as a pawn by her mother.

Stripping away her old life, she starts setting herself up to be the queen. Unlikely partners help push the pieces for the final play.

Author creates a beautifully weaved chessboard for the reader. Plus, alludes to future books between happenstance characters throughout. Looking forward to more, along with the next characters. Not going to spoil who the readers are going to be following in the author's next book.

Well this is the second book and you must read the first as it ends on the biggest cliff hanger ever and if you haven't read it I feel you would be a bit lost as to what is going on. The story pretty much goes right into where the other one finished and then you are in for one hell of a ride. Deceit, lies, friendships, trust... You name it....pretty much this book had it all!

I have to say with all the twists and turns, this author is so clever at leading you down one path and then sending you in a completely different direction and leaves you thinking No! Did that actually happen?! It all tied up beautifully in the end but even towards the end there is a twist that you don't see coming! This was a brilliant bully romance with an amazing story. I for one am so glad that we hear more from this world soon.

Bad Bad Girl is book two in the Rats of Richstone series and it picks up where book one left off. If you read book one then you know Phoebe and Liam are from opposite sides of the river and grew up totally different from each other. Well, they are back and after that cliffhanger ending of book one Phoebe is out for revenge. Phoebe and Liam are intense, well developed characters and their story is packed with danger, suspense, secrets, lies, revenge, passion, and unexpected twists that made this a page turner. I can't wait to read the next great book by this talented author. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

This book was epic in all aspects. Picking up with the aftermath of the tragic events of Bad Bad boy, it hits with one hell of a twist I did not see coming but went and smacked me right in the feels anyway. I was so shocked by this that I even shed a tear this showing just how well written this story is. I was completely sucked in to the characters emotions. Honestly this is an exceptional duet and I would highly recommend and that ending just had me in awe of the female lead and left me warm and fuzzy inside.

This Duet is amazing I'm a sucker for this book genre and Angel Devlin definitely creates some wicked characters.

If you read Bad Bad Boy then we now have the aftermath of the cliffhanger and just wow!

I've loved the whole concept of the rags to riches concept and Liam's tenacity to better his life but his plan went a little wayward and as much as he used Phoebe feelings also grew and these two characters definitely go through every emotion possible this book holds so many secrets, lies and manipulation but with so much sexual tension between the two is wickedly hot!

With so many fantastic characters and friendships it makes this duet an absolute must read the Rats Of Richstine are definitely intense and the fact that Angel is going to give us more from this group with Marlon's story coming towards the end of the year I can't wait for more from these guys.

Arc copy…….

So after been given the chance to read this duo as an arc copy from an author I’d never come across before I’ve really enjoyed this book… being from the uk and not really reading many books from my country is refreshing….
Now where do I start with Liam Lawson…. Everyone loves a bad boy right…. But despite him being a bad boy from the beginning he’s looking out for the people he loves… yer he’s going about it the wrong way but his loyalty and love is there….
Pheobe blossoms threw the books her character evolves and comes alive when she meets Liam…
And after many plot twists and turns a hea is well deserved…..

Phoebe goes bad but it's so good. The chemistry is there with Liam as it was in the first book but the drama, secrets and lies are another thing. It kept me intrigued. I loved the people they became in the end; the growth they went through. Now I need more Rats and Riches stories because it can't end with just them.

this is the concluding part to this duet and oh my... I couldnt it down. It picks right back up where book1 left off and Phoebe is out for blood and revenge is at the top of the list along with Liam and other Rats. Liam feels so much guilt over what happened. There is a lot going on, drama, suspense, twists, secrets and lies and when you add this all together you will find your self on that emotional rollercoaster. I really enjoyed this book and cant wait to read more.
