Felicity Everett grew up in Manchester and studied English Literature at Sussex University. She worked in children's publishing in London, whilst raising a family and is the author of more than twenty works of children's fiction and non-fiction. After a short career break, Felicity returned to writing adult fiction.

I really liked this book because if was funny when Cassy kept smashing everything. At the end she was called "Cassy the hero".

This is a cute and engaging story. In order to fully understand it, you have to pay close attention to the pictures. For this reason, this book would not be an ideal read-aloud for a class, but it would be a great book to use at an individual level to practice making predictions and making connections between the text and the illustrations. The book poses questions before you turn each page, so this is a great story to help children practice their reading comprehension skills. I would recommend this book to a 1st-2nd grade reader.

The charming crocodile is a loveable character who puts her clumsiness to good use when danger strikes in the store. She moves from being a hazard to a hero.This comical story is narrated for children growing in ability and confidence. I would recommend this book for children 5 and upwards

Toys, food, china... she leaves a trail of destruction behind her in every department she visits. But in the end, Cassy's cluminess saves the day and turns her into a hero.

I had tried to read this to Carmen early on, but she didn't really get into it until about 2 years old. It's really for much older as a read-it-yourself story where it asks a question every other page that the kid looks in the picture to find the answer, but Carmen enjoys the main character I think.

A clumsy crocodile name Cassy gets a job, but it doesn’t turn out to go the way she hopes for. As she is on her way to her new job at Everglades, the biggest and best store in town, where you can find things, you can’t find anywhere else. Cassy got very excited about that job. Her day started very well she sold sixty cups and saucers to a very rich old lady in only ten minutes. But when it was time to pack it up, she was a little slow and the lady started to be impatient with Cassy, so Cassy decided to just wrap it with a bow. When she was picking up the box crash all the dishes fell out and broke. So, then Cassy got moved to the toy department but yet another disaster happens, as she bends over to put a ball away her tail swung and made a mess of toys. Then she got moved again to the food hall. But she tripped and the salad flew into the air, and it landed on Ernest Everglade’s head the owner. The owner demanded her to go to his office and he said, “I don’t want a clumsy crocodile in my store”. So, Cassy decides to plead for her job that she decided to pay anything if anything else get broken. At the end Cassy’s clumsiness turned out to be a life saver she saved the jewel from getting stolen. She turned out to be a hero and she was promoted to a new job. She became the Chief Taster and Tester.

My daughter had this book in her room, and I will say I had never read it to her, I wished I did I enjoyed reading a chapter book. It is a chapter book with 6 chapters, yet it has pictures as well. This book in my opinion was well put together.

This book can be used to show our students that perseverance is reach for the start never to give up if you really want it. Students can see that it makes take a while and that we may go through hard problems, but it can be achievable if our mind is set for it.

Finally a good book in the series!!!
I just loved the idea that a crocodile goes to work along the people. And that she was a she. (All books are about boys!) And that she was clumsy. but really. She didn't even realise when she did something good - accidentally.
I think a better suiting job would have been better for her at the end - like testing packages' fragility in the warehouse :)

I read this to my little brother over break, and wasn't to crazy about it. I thought the illustrations were stupid and the story line was bland, but it was easy enough for kids to understand.
