This is a very low angst story, and it had a real meet cute enabled by a meddling elderly neighbour.

It was definitely a little instalove, but it's not a love at first sight thing, it's more of an instant attraction that builds up even more through a mutual understanding. In that sense it's pretty believable. It almost felt like a slow burn and it completely slipped my mind that they have only known each other for such a short time. Will is an adorably shy artist and relatable in his insecuritie

Caring for Your Neighbors . . .

This is a cute, sweet story that only an adorable meddling older lady could get away with! Will Brewer is a shy artist. He has a cat for companionship, and he stays to himself for the most part. He is not looking for a relationship, not that Mrs. O’Grady asked him because she had plans of her own. But he’s happy just painting and gets pulled into various tasks that Mrs. O’Grady needs done around her house.

Blain Stewart is a mechanic who has just moved in next door.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it. It is beautifully written and easy to read. This is the story of Will Brewer and Blaine Stewart. Will is a painfully shy artist who loves his cat and his 80 year old neighbor Mrs. O'Grady. Blaine is a mechanic who is on the rebound from a bad breakup. He too is unable to avoid the manipulations of Mrs. O'Grady and finds himself meeting the neighbors sooner than he expected. This is their story. Sometimes what we think we ...more

This was a truly fun story. I think everyone could use a Mrs. O'Grady in their life to keep them from becoming hermits and to help them meet other people. She also used her need for help to cheer her neighbors up and to feed them. Blain and Will meet when Blain moves into the house on the other side of Mrs. O'Grady's house from his own home. She knows they are both lonely and gay and thinks they will make the perfect couple so she is determined to get them together helping her do things at the s ...more

Exact rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars.

A good but slow story that takes place over two days.

This story is told from two points of views. The entire story takes place in just two days. I felt that the book had a rather slow start to it that made it difficult to read before picking up in pace and redeeming itself as a somewhat enjoyable book. It's great seeing a book where the awkward, socially inept MC is also a famous and successful author. I liked their interactions despite Blain's original plan on n

It is fitting that the relationship between Will and Blain blossoms in a garden. Will is shy and he has a good relationship with his cat and with his elderly neighbor, Mrs. O'Grady. In fact, it is Mrs. O'Grady who decides that Will and Blain, the handsome mechanic who lives next door, would be good together. She prevails upon them to plant flowers for her in her garden. Working together there they find that more is coming together than her garden and their attraction for one another takes root. ...more

This book has all the ingredients for an adorable romance— new neighbors with undeniable chemistry and complimenting personalities, a headstrong cat, and an even more headstrong octogenarian neighbor bent on getting them together. For the most part, the book delivers on its premise, although the level of neighborly meddling sometimes tipped over “charming” and into “irritatingly manipulative” for me, and I could have lived without the brief but unpleasant visit from Blain’s past. Overall, howeve ...more

Leave it up to the adorably meddling older neighbor, to bring two people together. A little gardening work, side-by-side for Mrs. O'Grady.
Will is a shy artist with a cat. Blain recently left a bad relationship and really isn't looking for anyone new.
Watching them grow from co-planters, to friends, to so much more.

This is a sweet read and I really enjoyed how these two men, both of them hesitant to open themselves up, but for different reasons. Blain, although attracted to Will, had recently gotten out of a relationship and Will thinks he doesn't need anyone in his life. But thanks to their neighbor, Mrs. O'Grady, the sweetest woman who wants the best for both men, they don't stand a chance. A lovely, refreshing read! ...more

This is a super short low angst love story about a little old lady and her petulance to meddle and matchmake. A chance meeting in Mrs O’Grady’s turns into a sweet love story about an introvert painter and a happy go lucky mechanic. So if you are looking for a light hearted, cute and sweet love story this book is for you.

This instalove was real nice. In the beginning I thought things were moving wayyyyyyyyy too fast between Will and Blain but their connection was strong. They clicked really well. It was nice to see Will come out of his shell and open up to Blain. Blain got him a second chance with a person who cares about him. All this happened because both has a neighbor who is a sweet little old lady playing cupid. Nice!

It all started in a garden, well kind of. Blain and Will meet at the hands of a sweet, meddling neighbor. The meeting blossomed quickly into a full bloomed romance. This story has a sweetness about it, add in a nasty ex and a nice HEA and this review is pretty much complete. An enjoyable story.

These two are, quite frankly, adorable! I adore them both, they're so sweet with each other, but also *wow* some of the scenes are delightfully steamy! I really wish there were more, but thats a common feeling I have with Elizabeth's works!
