11 books5,733 followersFinn's dutiful transcriber, Gwen Romack (aka The Squishy One), is a Maryland native, avid dog lover, and rescue volunteer. Gwen and her husband Evan (aka The Hairy One) initially agreed to foster Finn to work on some behavior issues and get him ready for a furever family. She began posting Finn's weekly updates on Facebook as a way to help prospective adopters fall in love with Finn. But it became clear pretty quickly that Finn was already home. The posts had become so popular in the Vizsla community that she decided to continue sharing Finn’s view of life as a dog rescuing his difficult and confusing hoomans.
When her corporate job as an ethics, compliance and anti-corruption officer was eliminated in the early days of the COVID pandemic, Gwen decided it was time to develop Finn’s funny updates into books for everyone to enjoy. Since the first book was published in July 2020, Finn has brought laughter and joy to fans in the US, UK, Canada, Germany, Australia, Cambodia, the Philippines, Brazil and even the Swiss Alps. Both books reached best-seller status and hot new release status on Amazon’s charts and his fans get to enjoy his daily antics through social media.

What a delightful activity book for elementary children! It is educational about dog ownership and fun at the same time. There is a wide variety of activities from word searches, math problems, and coloring pages. The artwork is fantastic. Highly recommended.

I have both of Finn’s books and follow him on social media. I personally am owned by 3 vizsla’s myself. Finn is such a character and Gwen brings that to life in her writings and now this fun filled activity book. This coloring/activity book is so adorable and teaches some important aspects of pet ownership and animal rescuing in a fun way for kids. In all honesty I’m an adult and was playing along with a few of the activities! The perfect gift for kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, neighbors, and just about anyone!

My 9 year old twin girls had a lot of fun with this activity book! We have an awesome rescue pup ourselves and thought we knew our stuff, but we actually learned a lot. This book covers so much important information and does it in such a fun and engaging way. It can be valuable for use at home or in group settings with educators. For any Brownie leaders out there, it can fit perfectly into doing the Pets badge! For Daisy Girl Scouts, it could be used for several of the petals. What a great addition to the Finn series!!

I LOVE Finn! The first two books by Gwen Romack are fabulous for any dog-lover. For those with children or those who work with children, this activity book is a great way to educate children about dogs and the work of rescue - all while having fun!

What a great way for kids to learn about dogs! We are thinking about getting a dog and my 9-year old enjoyed learning about the do's and dont's for playing with them and feeding them and all other aspects of their care. The coloring and other activities brought up great conversations too. I highly recommend it!

Oh my gosh! This activity book is the best!!! So many activities - and all centered around Finn. And, such positive messages and opportunities to learn about dogs. And, as the President of a Vizsla rescue group, I love the positive messages about rescue dogs!! Way to go Finn! You are playing an important role helping children to understand and love dogs! ❤❤❤
