Getting mated and abducted within minutes makes things a little difficult to get to know the person on the other side of the mating bond. On both ends, mind you. While Thane might be a tiny bit more willing to go with the flow (as it were), even he's caught off guard by how quickly their mate bond snapped into place. Like I mentioned, throw in an abduction moments later and things are a little rough for our newest couple.

Not that it stops them from kicking Kantos booty when the opportunity prese

This is everything I wanted ! Yes I have niggles but honestly this book gave me happiness, hope and what I've been begging for ! This has romance that's steamy but the pace makes absolute sense. Action and adventures with allies I could never predict. I do love this authors imagination and usually it loses a half mark because I'm never terribly convinced by ahem flame throwers but THIS book if I'm honest having finished I just don't care about logic. I thoroughly enjoyed it and the Kantos revela ...more

For some reason, I had a hard time getting into it. The book seemed more focused on action instead of the relationship and character building. Insta-love can sometimes be boring.

Soul of Eon begins in the immediate aftermath of the previous book in this series, the awesome Storm of Eon. Literally. As that story ends, Kaira and Thane experience an incredibly rare instant mating when the Kantos invade and kidnap them both.

There’s a lot to unpack in that description, now that I think about it. Which first leads to saying that this series is probably best read in order, starting from Edge of Eon. A LOT has happened since Eve kidnapped D

I feel for Kaira I do but I couldn’t connect with her and found her attitude towards Thane both selfish and shallow.
Now if I remember correctly ( which isn’t easy because I was only a few chapters in when became a real slog for me and was having a difficult time forcing myself to continue) Kaira was only married a

Commander Kaira Chand of the Australian Air Force is totally devoted to her work, since she lost both her husband and her father in the past few years. She’s wary of trusting her heart to anyone, so work is her focus. Medical Commander Thane Kann-Eon is a healer from a family that seems to be cursed with an inability to find and keep mates, so he has accepted that he will never mate.

When these two meet during a celebration for others, they are instantly drawn together. As a result, they discove

Kaira and Thane

This book begins right after book 7 leaves, off... and you really need to read the series in order, as it is a continuity with an overarching background story that flows through them all.

Kaira and Thane find themselves the unwilling guests of the Kantos, on a Kantos training world.
Fighting their way to freedom is a whole lot easier to say than do, and on the way they have numerous perils to navigate... like mating fever, alien monsters and more!

OOOOOOOOOh I love me some Eon Warriors! And this time around we have a silver-fox of Warrior Healer and an emotionally fragile Warrior, still getting to grips with widowhood.

Kaira lost her husband in the war with the Kantos. She refuses to open herself to any more emotional damage. She'll do her job, interact with friends, but no more entanglements. Well, someone forgot to tell the Eon bond that. She only meets Thane at Fin and her warrior's wedding and BAM. Instant bond - but worse than that th

I just don't think that Anna Hackett know how to write a bad book, I certainly haven't read one that's for sure. Ms. Hackett knows just how to grab onto her readers from the 1st page to the last with her amazing storytelling and world building. Then proceeds to take you on one hell of a roller coaster ride, so be prepared to hang on tight. Her characters are so delightful that you can't help cheer for their happily ever after. Against all odds action romance

Soul of Eon is a huge addition to the Eon series. We learn so much about the evil alien Kantos in this story. Now real strategies can be forged to eradicate these killers.
Wouldn’t it be horrible to go into your mating frenzy at the same time you’re captured, kidnapped, and tortured? Well, that’s what happened to the stoic Renguard’s Medical Commander, Thane Kann Eon. He just met his mate, Terran Kaira Chand, a Commander in the Australian Air Force, the sparks flar

Instant matings are unheard, but that is exactly what happens with Thane and Kaira. But then they are instantly abducted by the Kantos. What follows is their fight for survival, to get in touch with their people, and to escape. All the while dealing with the mating fever, Kantos attacks, and a planets ecosystem that basically attacks them. With every Eon Warriors book, we are guaranteed steam and action, and Anna Hackett doesn't disappoint with Thane and Kaira. We have the typical small amounts ...more

The biggest disappointment in this book is realizing that apparently the next book may be the end to the series! (Although Anna Hackett hinted in her author’s note that the story will continue to evolve! So yah!) From the beginning of this story, detailing Thane and Kaira’s story, there was action. Yes, we know a HEA is imminent but Anna Hackett makes the characters work for it. What an exciting ride and I loved the evolution of the romance as well as the story of the Kantos, but like aliens, tr ...more

Science fiction romance

This is Thane and Kaira's story. It starts where the previous book left off. There is action, adventure, romance and danger.
We meet some new and interesting characters in this book. Without giving anything away, one group of characters was a real surprise to me. The other group, I would like to know more about.
I'm hopeful that what Thane and Kaira discovered will be the turning point that leads to the Kanto's defeat.
The last book in this series will be King of Eon, Gayel

I loved this book. Kaira is heart bruised and wants nothing to do with love. Now Thane enters the picture and it's instant steam. But the Kantos have to spoil the moment and kidnap them. I have to say this one is definitely one of my favorite of the Eon Warriors so far!!! There is attraction but it goes deeper than that as Kaira already lost her family and her husband. I felt that the relationship between her and Thane actually took the needed time to develop and intensify into love and trust. Love it!! Can't wait for the King's story!!! so exciting!!

Let's just say I couldn't put it down.

Seriously, every single one of the books in this series is 5 star. Number 8 was guaranteed that just by the lead into it from book 7. This would be a good binge read over a long weekend with a couple glasses of wine.. I'm not saying much about the story...other than it is nonstop action. Passion flows and grips you. That's it. Ya gotta read it, just saying you be mad at v yourself if you don't

After being kidnapped by the Kantos, Thane Kann-Eon and Kaira Chand found themselves fighting for their lives in an intense, exciting and dangerous adventure. I enjoyed the non-stop action where anything could happen, and the suspense was present all the time. Unexpected twists, strange allies and a new opportunity for the protagonists.

loved it.

The Eon series has always held special place in my heart. Each book always delivers what I love most about the authors writing style. Fast paced action, continuous world building and a hero and heroine to cheer on as fall in love while fighting for their lives and others. Also I love how the struggles feel real. Great book.

So good!

This book was so good! It had all the usual goodies of an Eon-Terran couple fighting the Kantos & discovering what it means to be mated. Plus a few new twists & turns. & some new allies I hope we see again. I can't wait to see what new, fun & crazy things Gayel's book will bring.

Eon Goodness!

I loved this book. It was fated courageous mates, adventure and hot sexy couples saving their world. Enemies became allies and they became friends. Awesome warriors from the Eon world, Earth and the Kantos learned much about their respective people. I recommend this to all my family, friends and Facebook friends.

Another great book in the series!

It say something that this is the 8th book in the series and I’m not tired of reading them yet. It’s sci-fi, romance, action and adventure! The themes in the books can get a little repetitive but they are still always fun and sweet and have happy endings.
