Are you a fan of the 1964 animated television special Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer? If you would like to visit that magical world again, you will enjoy this fun little graphic novel (novella?). This tale happens two days before Rudolph's first flight, and tells a tale featuring his friends on The Island of Misfit Toys.
Author Brendan Deneen and illustrator George Kambadais do a wonderful job of bringing these long loved characters to life on a page. I enjoyed reading this story very much, and would love to visit The North Pole for future adventures with Rudolph and his pals.

I loved this graphic novel version. It's also my favorite movie, so I could be a little bias.

I'm going to go ahead and pretend that never happened.

Not as delightful as I'd hoped, and I think the hint of romance is rather misplaced.

What a wonderful read. Not only do we find out how Yukon Cornelius and the Bumble bonded, but also how Polly became a misfit toy and why the elf did not give an umbrella to the bird who could not fly. Lots of unsettling questions answered. I now feel my relationship with the Rankin Bass Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer is complete.

A lot of potential in these familiar characters but it ends quickly... Reads like an elsewhere story of what the misfit toys were doing after bumble's fall and before Santa's rescue. The art was fun. Just ended too fast for me.

Meh. Not my favorite graphic novel.

Another quick little holiday graphic novel! This one is better for kids, but is still very cute.

Didn’t realize this was a sequel. Got it out of nostalgia and enjoy reading a continued adventure of one of my favorite Christmas specials.

I thought it was cute, but I'm partial to just about anything featuring classic Rankin-Bass characters. It was a little juvenile, but I think it was supposed to be.
Did I like it? Yes.
Would I reread it? Maybe.
Would I recommend it? Yes.

Not at all what I had hoped for. I would think that with these characters you couldn't go wrong but they somehow found a way. Fell flat
