I had fun reading this novel but there were parts that got me scratching my head because I was utterly confused. Most of the plot did not make sense. A lot of things were not properly explained and there were plot holes. The most disappointing thing was how the poison in Shi Ye's body was not addressed; how and who gave it to him (it was implied that Hua Yin did but no backstory on this), its purpose and how he was cured from it. Even the appearance of the system/ spirit stone did not make sense. It was also confusing how it was discussed that Hua Yanran escaped by setting fire to the palace and then a slave(?) set fire to the palace to kill Shi Ye many years later, so does that mean that there were two separate fires that occurred? I also did not understand the purpose of Wen Chi going back to Shi Ye's past and how saving him from being stabbed correlate to the present which was finding the missing Shi Ye and curing the poison. ALSO, WHY TF WAS HE PRETENDING TO BE DISABLED???? Homie went most his life sitting on a wheelchair and one random day he just went up and go like what??? And his face wtf are we not even gonna talk how he also randomly cured his scars?? Seriously some parts were rushed and were not explained in detail. But then again, I came to read this novel not for the politics but for the romance.

I had a great time reading the progression of romance between the MC and ML and I enjoyed it. So, if you plan to read this novel, read it with a light heart and don't mind the science and politics here as it will only leave you confused.

i had lots of hopes for this webnovel because its been in my to-reads for a while but not on goodreads so i just waited. the plot is very interesting and ive always liked mcs that don't care if they die and they're just chaotic. its fun to read. wen chi was a fine character. he cries alot and is pretty obedient but he also is powerful and has some backbone. its honestly a love him or hate him kind of personality. shi ye is the classic cold, and intimidating. i enjoyed their dynamic and it was cute the way sy softens up for wc. wc being a chaotic character also made their relationship fun cause he constantly tests sy's patience. sometimes thought there were plot holes, or it just wasn't explained enough that i understood it. i'm not sure if it was the translator or the author themselves though. speaking of translations, it was translated well but they would always split chapters in 2, sometimes even 6 which makes the chapters seem unbearingly long and tiring. around the 110s the story drags A LOT. i love slow burn but 110/150 and they still are skirting around eo? it was very annoying. i also didn't like the two year time skip and the trope "they knew each other when they were little". it wasn't exactly that trope but still, its not my thing. the transmigration thing almost never shows up, it didn't seem like a necessary thing. honestly i didn't finish this, i had about 35 chapters left but with the way it was dragging on, i couldn't bring myself to finish it especially because it seemed like they were together at that point. but it was still enjoyable and cute.

Es interesante la historia en sí; el desarrollo del romance también es muy bueno y entretenido. El personaje principal me cayó muy bien. Sin embargo, la trama me confundía a veces; sucedían cosas que no entendía de dónde salían y faltaron explicaciones sobre algunos temas. Algo que no me encantó fue el salto temporal, y no me gusta cuando, necesariamente, los personajes tienen que haberse conocido desde niños. Es un cliché que, personalmente, me cansa.

A pesar de eso, es una historia entretenida. Estaba por ponerle dos estrellas, pero lo que salva el libro es el romance y el protagonista, que es caótico y llorón; lo quiero, y en algunos momentos me hizo reír.

Foi a evolução que me ganhou. É isso. Gostei dos personagens de primeira? Não KKKKK, não gosto nem de gente burra nem rude. Mas...eles evoluíram. Não senti que tudo foi esclarecido no enredo, mas eu gostei bastante da história de como os personagens se desenvolveram, de como tudo foi direcionado. Não digo que é um livro bem construído, porque acho que ele pecou bastante na construção e tem inclusive alguns buracos bem notáveis no plot. Mas me entreteve, eu gostei dos personagens, eu ri, fiquei aflita, etc.
Recomendo para leitura, mas também recomendo que a autora revise.

a ver, no está nada mal, me ha gustado, pero creo que no está tan bien desarrollada la historia como podría, en general es que salvo los protas, el resto de personajes tanto secundarios como villanos, a penas aportan nada

creo que hay muchas cosas en las que si se hubiera profundizado o conectado de otra manera, sería una novela mucho mejor de lo que es

no me arrepiento de haberla leído, pero sí que me da penica el potencial desaprovechado 🥺

So much missed potential. Like the moment the time skip happened a lot went down hill, it did get better again but to be honest the setup doesn’t make any sense. Also who the fuvk gets jealous of their own kid? (Very in character though)
