Chase Fulton #13

The Poison Chase

Rate this book
One False Flag. . . One True WarriorWhen the enemies of freedom hide beneath a patriot’s flag, it’s up to American covert operative Chase Fulton to find a way to infiltrate the criminal organization and dismantle it from within. Living inside a lie built on the foundations of greed, disregard for human life, and murderous intent may prove to be the most challenging assignment of his career. As Chase battles his demons and questions his decisions to drive away a team member, the necessity of unit cohesion drives him to take on a solitary mission in which he’ll face enemies so driven by ideology and financial profit that they’ll make any deal, bribe any official, and flaunt their wealth in the faces of those who lack the resources to stand against them. From the Wiregrass Region of southern Alabama to the burning deserts of northern Africa and the Middle East, Chase Fulton’s determination, endurance, and fortitude are put to the test against foes unlike any he’s ever faced in a realm he can scarcely imagine possible. The unthinkable mission promises to test alliances, stretch the bonds of friendship, and leave one of America’s finest warriors questioning everything he thought he knew. From the terrifying opening to the ominous conclusion, The Poison Chase promises to leave readers on the edge of their seats like never before.

Creator of The Chase Fulton Novels series and The Avenging Angel - Seven Deadly Sins Series, Cap Daniels is a former sailing charter captain, scuba and sailing instructor, pilot, Air Force veteran, and civil servant of the U.S. Department of Defense. Raised far from the ocean in rural East Tennessee, his early infatuation with salt water was sparked by the fascinating, and sometimes true, sea stories told by his father, a retired Navy chief petty officer. Those stories of adventure on the high seas sent Cap in search of adventure of his own, which eventually landed him on Florida’s Gulf Coast where he and his wife Melissa spend as much time as possible on, in, and under the waters of the Emerald Coast.

With a headful of larger-than-life characters and their thrilling exploits, Cap pours his love of adventure and passion for the ocean onto the pages of his action adventure series, The Chase Fulton Novels and his new series Avenging Angel - Seven Deadly Sins.

Inspired by the likes of John D. Macdonald’s Travis McGee, Randy Wayne White’s Doc Ford, and Wayne Stinnett’s Jesse McDermitt, Cap creates thrilling tales of action and adventure set throughout the Caribbean and coastal Florida and Georgia by intertwining nautical adventure with international espionage. Cap’s Chase Fulton Novels series promises to keep readers on the edge of their seats, trying to guess what new danger or adventure lies just around the corner.

The Avenging Angel - Seven Deadly Sins series is a spin-off starring the most controversial and intriguing character from the Chase Fulton Novels. After defecting to the United States, Anastasia "Anya" Burinkova, a former Russian SVR assassin and intelligence operative puts her lethal skill set into action against the powerful Russian Mafia. In this gritty, organized-crime thriller series, Cap Daniels takes his readers into the dark underworld of the Russian Mafia weaving actual events into fiction to leave the reader's heart pounding and their fingers itching to turn the page.

Very boring and Slowwwww

If you wanted to read another exciting Chase Fulton adventure, this book is NOT it. Fully half of the book is about general aviation. Another 30% is about personal relationships and the missing Russian woman. The final 10% is actually where the action is located. I think Cap needs to read an earlier Fulton book to remember why the series was so popular. I am actually wondering if Cap Daniels wrote this book.

Well, Cap Daniels, you did it again. It was great to read the latest adventure of Chase and his team. The sad part is now I have to wait for the next one. I always look forward to the continuing adventures of the group and I am never disappointed in fact I feel you any get better with each one.
So, no goofing off, get to writing I am ready when ever you are. Keep up the good work and thanks for the fun.

More Action From Beginning To End

As the latest addition to the adventures of Chase Fulton this book is marvelous. I could not put it down.

I highly recommend it. Read the author’s blurb for more information as I don’t do spoilers.

The beginning of this one gets you heart pumping. Chase is flying and all engines are failing. Everything is happening at once and you don't know if Chase is going to pull this one off or not!
Great start to the next in the series.

As always, these just keep you turning pages and what a better day then the 4th of July to read about American Heroes. Chase is having Bonadventure rebuilt and Penny is heading back to Hollywood for the review of the movie they are making of her screenplay.

Disco has joined the team as the pilot of their new Cessna. Things are going good until Clark calls and wants Chase on a mission. But, this will be one that he will like. He will be attending a school to learn to fly helicopters. But with Chase and Clark you know there will be more to this mission that will take Chase almost around the world to stop the sale of aircraft to our enemies!

Great one, not to be missed.

Absolutely another fandamtastic Chase Fulton adventure. These adventures take you to the far reaches of the world. I had never known where Djibouti was on the planet but a month ago a buddy (Airforce Sgt) had sent me a photo. When I asked where is was he had mentioned Djibouti. Did some research and read about it. Now I see Chase is in Djibouti and I'm already tuned in.

This adventure seems more of a solo task giving his team time for a little R & R. It has the great twists and turns as we have come to expect of Chase along with the continuing questions of who Anya really is (you just have to love it).

As another reader expressed, the worst part of finishing another Chad Fulton adventure is the wait for yet another.

Awesome job Cap. Keep them coming!!!

I’m an addict!

I have just finished all 13 books in the Chase Fulton series back to back and have loved every single one of them.
After the first chapter I very nearly gave up and deleted the book from my Kindle, why would I be interested in a baseball player with a n injured hand? What a good decision to keep reading that was...
Every page after that had me gripped and wanting more usually reading well past my bed time, constantly saying “just one more chapter “.
@capDaniels please hurry up with book 14. I need my fix!

FANTASTIC SERIES, KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK

I just finished this series, Chase Fulton is a hero's hero. I have found yet another great writer, this series is very hard to put down. I am anxiously awaiting book #14. I give this story my HIGHEST rating both military and spy readers should check this out. It has horses, fast cars, planes, boats and guns. And a story line full of excitement. I have found yet another great author (CAP DANIELS). Give him a try.

Once again a Chase Fulton story starts with a bang in a plane and it delivers another great ride all the way through. Chase solo. The team, which has become like family to those of us who have read the whole series, is largely absent in this adventure. However, that means we get a more intense look ‘inside’ Chase himself as he battles enemies of the worst sort. When you finish this book, and it is quite a finish, you will be anxious for the next one.

Terrific series

I thoroughly enjoyed this series & am sad to have it end, at least until book 14 comes out in the summer. I didn't enjoy this last book quite as much as the others because I prefer the team all working together as opposed to Chase being more solo this time. I also thought it went into to much detail with all the flying jargon, BUT this didn't take away from how much I truly loved this series!!

Not up to par.

I was truly disappointed with the book. I’ve enjoyed everything you have written and I mean everything.
It’s a shame I was 90% through the book before you put your normal amount of action and intensity into this one. You are the one true author who I’ll stop reading another book and go straight to your new book when it hits my Kindle.
I hope you regain that style and direction in your next novel.

Cliff Notes: How to fly a helicopter

As usual, a lot of technical stuff; this time showing what it's like to fly a helicopter. And a few new-to-Chase fixed wings. But it's all just a ruse to get into what could be an illegal operation. Danger abounds and Chase finds himself at odds when not being a part of a team. Oh, and be aware of a couple of teasers along the way... Good read!

A little disappointed with this chapter on the Chase Fulton series. Author starts out with continuing saga of Anya like he referenced in his last book only to leave this reader hanging (again) on any resultion. I hope he "cuts to the Chase" in his next book and bring some closure. Too much of the book on the technical aspects of flying and not enough on Chase's relationship with Penny (Chase is gone for weeks without any reference to what Penny is doing?) or other team members involvements.

The Poison Chase: A continuation of adventures of Chase Fulton.

This book by Cap Daniels is well written and mostly enjoyable to read. The part dealing with the helicopter fight training, and especially where Chase is in training to be a helicopter pilot teacher, was a drag could have been omitted or condensed. After reading that part I almost felt like I could fly one myself. I liked the cajon talk by the house contractor. The ending piracy action was very good.

Hang on to your hats!

This story moves faster than the speed of sound! The plot picks up quickly and then goes real fast. Chase is pretty much on his own just like the first few stories. He moves into his adventure and gains the trust of the company he is infiltrating! Really great story!

The saga continues as the plot thickens.

The Poison Chase has it all...mystery, intrigue and excitement! Although a little sparse on romance, this book is still impossible to put down! Full of suspense and intrigue, the storyline grows more intricate. I can't wait for the next one! Very well done!

The "Chase" just keeps getting better and better!

Cap Daniels hits another one out of the park. Grab yourself a comfy seat as Case Fulton and his crew take you on another nail biting, page turning adventure. All culminated with a grand send off to the next great read in this epic series...

Such a great story and story line. Have now completed all 13 of the books and eagerly await the release of #14. Headed to start book #1 of Anya....I have read a lot of books along this theme. Rapp, Noble, Bonnifide, Jericho, etc. Cap has done more with this than all of them in my opinion. He brings his knowledge of sailing, flying, diving and more to the pages. You will not be sorry...

A Two-Part Chase

The first half of this book is slow, tedious with little plot and much about airplane piloting technique ... it filled space but was of limited interest to non-aviation junkies. The second half is worthy of the Fulton series with a plot masterfully on the move.

I usually give 5 stars!

I love the Chase Fulton Series but as informative and comprehensively interesting this book was regarding Helicopter flying and Chase's continued education it lacked in suspense and action usually ripe in this series! All the action was packed into the last 25 pages of the book... that alone lost a star!

Most of Cap’s Chase Fulton series has been 5 stars but have to deduct a star for this one. Although I understand why he did all the aviation building for later books maybe, it still gets a little long winded for folks who don’t care about aviation. Still good storyline and good cliffhanger to end on but I’ll look forward to the next book even if this one challenged me to keep reading in places.

Having read the previous 12 books over the last couple of months, I was disappointed with this book. The middle half of the book is very slow reading when discussing general aviation testing and ratings. I was not interested in the general aviation detail. The last few chapters captures Cap Daniel’s writing that has led me me to read the previous 13 books.

I didn't enjoy this book as much as the rest of the series. Too much time talking about cockpit devices. And how he has the hand of an aviator. Not enough action for me, plus i missed the rest of the team.
