I just read this to my 2 year-old at nap time and found it a great book to read to your little one. It has great pictures but it also tells (remarkably well) how everyone sees the world their own way--and some people's beliefs are outlandishly wild. It teaches acceptance and awareness of other people's perceptions--and in the end, allows the child to think of an outlandish (or even realistic) idea too.

cute story. Everyone shares what they think the moon is full of. Nice bedtime story or for a storytime themed about the moon

July 19, 2020This book is really cute and can open up a discussion about what your kids or students think is in the moon. The illustrations look like they were done with colored pencil. Kids could also draw their own pictures with colored pencils about what they think is in the moon. I would use this book for kindergarten and first grade because they would probably be the most entertained and engaged in it. The large format and full page illustrations would make this book perfect for a story time even if you don't use it for a lesson.

As Jonas and his grandma take a walk before bedtime, he wonders what makes up the moon. Several animals and finally his grandma give their opinions, but it is up to Jonas to decide what he believes. Fun story with a sweet message about differing points of view and appreciating those differences. The illustrations are great and the answers are a bit silly, with some logic behind them. This is a great group read aloud.

My kids really enjoyed this book. It has a really good lesson as well, that things can be whatever you want them to be and they will always be different for each person.
