Lana Harvey is back from the dead...
Well, back from delivering the dead to the afterlives, anyway. The political and social landscape of Limbo City has gone through quite the makeover since the Throne of Eternity was broken and the souls in the sea took charge of their own destinies. But progress is a journey on the road less traveled. Which means potholes are inevitable. And who better to pave the way than the reaper who set all this upheaval into motion?

Return to Limbo City with Lana and the gang! They'll have a cold ale waiting for you at Purgatory Lounge.

USA Today bestselling author Angela Roquet is a delightfully macabre weirdo. She lives in Missouri with her irresistible BFF husband, their sweet, clever son, and a majestic marshmallow of a Great Pyrenees in a house stuffed with books, toys, skulls, owls, and glitter-speckled craft supplies.

Angela is a member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association, as well as the Four Horsemen of the Bookocalypse, her epic book critique group, where she’s known as Death. When not swearing at the keyboard, she enjoys playing with her family and reading books that raise eyebrows.

Angela Roquet has done it again, another amazing book to add to Reapers Inc. So glad to finally get back to Limbo City. Now to fill the void until the next one is released.

Not my usual style of book but after reading Graveyard Shift (the first Lana Harvey novel) I can't get enough. I wasn't sure where this would go as a spin off but it follows on well from the Reapers Inc series.

Lana is still reaping and being chosen for special assignments, not that she wants them, but who else would they choose. She has to deal with her boss Jenni and the afterlife counsel making her a target once again while trying to help a reaper in hiding who turns out to be less than grateful. Throw in a demon lover who likes to involve himself in her work, two apprentices who are over-eager to help and an island of souls who have elevated her to deity status... being a reaper is a tiresome task sometimes.

Bring on the next instalment!

* While this is book one in a spin-off you don't have to read the original series to know the backstory.
The opening of the book covers the major events enough so you're not lost but I recommend reading
them so you can fill in the fine details.

Picking up ten years later we catch up with Lana and the gang. With everything that's happened
to her you'd think our favorite reaper could catch a break but no such luck. Not only is the council
still demanding she jump through hoops but now the gods & goddesses of the underworld are
seeking favors. She just can't catch a break but she'll soon discover she has more people in her
corner than she thought...hopefully with no hidden agenda.

I've missed Lana!

It's so nice to read a new Lana Harvey book! I was a bit worried that I wouldn't remember enough from the previous series, but the author summed everything up nicely before the new action started. And new action it was, including a new location and new characters! I enjoyed it very much and am looking forward to the next book!

I'm so delighted that there are more Lana Harvey Books coming! Lana makes me smile and giggle. She's a wonderful Fun Read to clear away the cobwebs from a lot of serious History and Classical Literature.

I loved visiting with Lana again!

As the first spinoff of the Lana Harvey series, Angela did not disappoint!
This book opens with a recap of the Reapers Inc series...with just enough details to refresh or let new readers catch up (and wntice them to read the og series!).
We see some of our old favorites again, which for anyone who gets attached to characters knows is the greatest feeling! We meet a few new characters and problems for Lana to solve.

I could have continued reading this for hours...thank Lana there is more story to come!
Angela, not shockingly, knocked this one across the River Styx!! ;)

Yay, she's back!

It's been awhile since we last visited Limbo City and Lana. And I was for once grateful for the recap to jog the brain!

**Review is for audiobook edition**

💀Reading of the finished series, Lana Haervey Reapers’ Inc., is suggested but not necessary. You’ll just be going “dafuq?” every so often.

So happy Angela decided to start a spin-off of the Reapers Inc. books. Every time I pick up one of her books, it’s like being amongst old friends, even if those friends are Reapers, angels, demons, and various deities from religions around the world.

Holley Jackson remains one of my favorite narrators, perfectly giving voice to Lana’s annoyances, doubts, snarks, humor, and frustrations. Not to mention her impression of an ArchAngel doing an impression of John Wayne.

This is a spin off of the original series but it’s like never having left Limbo City!

If you’ve read the first series- this picks up right where the last book ended. If you haven’t- there’s enough of a recap to make sense but it’s definitely not necessary since there’s an entirely new set of problems for Lana, Bub, Gabe, Jenny + the gang to sort out.

Love Lana’s sarcasm and wit, and all the mythology and different religions that are woven into daily life in Limbo City. And I still hate Malik.

Holly Jackson does such an ah-may-zing job narrating with all of the different accents. Immediately getting the next book!

I loved this book. I loved the limbo city series and was so excited to have Lana Harvey return. Can not wait for the next book in the series. Angela Roquet is easily my favorite author and Lana my favorite character. These books are fun to read and have just enough action, excitement and laughter. Can’t wait to see where Lana is going next.

An excellent read

I loved the Lana Harvey series and so glad to see it continue. This book didn't disappoint. Lots of action packed scenes and a fast paced storyline that kept me hooked until the very end. Just wish it was longer. Highly recommend.
