This is a young readers beginning book. This book uses very basic site words that students beginning to read should know. The book has large font which also will help the reader. It has smaller pictures because the words take up most of the page. This is a book based off a show on netflix which students may have watched so while reading this book they might already know what has happened.

A sweet story overall about friends in a class all finding a talent within to make and share crafts at a Valentine's party. But I miss the simple characters and rhyming text of Anna Dewdney's originals.

I had a hard time finding a Valentine's book to read with my kindergartners that wasn't about romantic love. This book was about a school Valentine's celebration and making gifts using your creativity to show your friends you care for them. That totally fit the bill for a read aloud!

These are just okay. I'm not a fan of the non-rhyming Llama Llama books. They lose the magic for me.
