I love this book dearly! I believe it's a must have and a must read for anyone working with the Goddesses or wanting to get closer to them.
At times I felt this is an incredible resource, at times I felt it was a bit incomplete.
What it surely is is a glossary of various Goddesses, some well known, others not so much, all selected to help the reader in all kinds of situations, some mundane, some very important.
It first presents the issue, than how the Goddess can help, a little information about Her, then some exercises and practices and it ends with a quote/ affirmation to bring more of that Goddess energy into ones life.
Why I felt it was incomplete - it was the fact that it took 1 single trait of a Goddess and developed an entire small chapter around it. For me, for Mary Magdalene or Persephone this felt so little, so small and different than my personal take. But, in truth, and for the purpose of the book, this is a great idea to help the reader get closer to each Goddess, to know of Her and to get the help she needs without going too deep when the issue is urgent and very specific. After that we can all learn more about the Goddess we feel close to and go deeper with the practices.
This being said, I believe this book is invaluable for anyone no matter the level they are on this journey, it's that kind of book you keep close and you come back to time and time again. While this is the 3rd edition, I'm sure it will see many more in the future.

This was a very interesting book and I look forward to reading it again.

As the author acknowledges and hopes for “third time lucky”, this is the third edition of this book with its third publisher. This time it’s a well packaged useable guide to Goddesses from differing cultures. The book kicks off with Eve and despite encouraging an eclectic spirituality the author refers to readers from a more Christian perspective, as the “daughters of Eve”. This is certainly not how I identify and I was not convinced about her writings on Eve or the idea of reclamation. However for those wanting a quick go to and how to implement Goddess worship for a variety of outcomes I would recommend this book.
