A short novel from the boy's POV following events after the accident in the previous book. It's nice to see their point of view and finally see Enzo stepping up into his true role.

After that cliffhanger in the second book, I couldn't move fast enough to that one click button. I knew it was going to be painful, but I wasn't expecting my heart to be in such agony. Omg KG, who hurt you?!

In this novella, we get just the guys pov since our Rosie girl is fighting for her life, and seeing them struggle without her is a new level of heartbreak. Especially since they nearly lost Ethan too.

Cole absolutely broke my heart though, and his devastation is felt on every single page. I believe he's officially at the number one spot in this Harem, but by goodness I love the way they all love her. Ethan literally sacrificed his life, Cole is begging her to hang on and is going to do anything he can to help fix her, Enzo is all about having the world filled with the blood of anyone who dared harm a hair on her head, and Fox finally sees she's the other half of him.

This was a short book yes, but it was so needed in this series. Kg is absolutely incredible!!

Read this novella before you start book 4! It's from the guys perspective between the two books, and you definitely don't want to miss it. Its full of heart ache and love, and it gives you a really good look into the guys thoughts of Rosie and everything else that's going on.

This is a short review, not because there's not a lot to write but because I don't want to give too much away.

This is very much an emotional book based on the final events of book 2.

Both ethan and rosalies lives are hanging in the balance.

Its draining on the 3 boys, worrying about the 2 most important people in their lives. Fox's coping mechanism, in comparison to Coles and Enzos is very different. Considering Enzos father, it's not surprising. But it doesn't stay as just his thoughts for long.

And not to forget that it's not just Rosalie. There's an additional worry there too.

The relationship between the boys is shown to be truly solid here and that's the one nice thing to see.

The one pesky problem still not going away is juliet.... She doesn't seem to be grasping how close to being in true danger she could be and is pushing at a time she really shouldn't. Uoyd think common sense would kick in really... But... Nope.

The book ends with one of the group still not awake and still worrying the others....

Please let there be good news in the last book!!!

A raw emotional ride as the MCs grapple with two of their ‘found family’ being unconscious in hospital, in the wake of the dastardly events that ended book two.
Kind of like ACOFAS, this novella has a role and helps with character development, but doesn’t do anything major for the overall plot of the series.
As per the previous books, spotted a few annoying but minor proofreading errors.
Now onto book four and hopefully, a HEA.

Multiple POVs.
You get all the POVs in this one so you know exactly how the heroes feel about Rosalie. This is to complement the story.

It was okay. It felt repetitive. I found myself skimming.

This is my review for all the books in this series.

KG Reuss is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine. I read Boys Of Chapel Crest last month and loved it so when I saw that this series was on audible I was like yes please.

This series started out very light, typical high school stuff and then it went and become both heartbreaking but also very suspenseful. There's just so many things happening. I literally stopped breathing at the height of those suspenseful moments.

Ethan. Oh Ethan. I love you so much. I loved all these guys but Ethan will forever have a special place in my heart. He's like my boy Stitches, so sweet and heartbreaking. Reading has made me learn that I have a soft spot for sad, broken boys. I just want to hug them. I definitely wanted to hug Ethan, and I am not usually big on touching.

The third book in this series is only the guys pov. I thought that was very clever of the author, we hadn't gotten much from them before that so I loved the insight into their thoughts and feelings.

I loved this series and I hope to read more by KG Reuss in the future.

In Pieces is a short little novella that takes place after the events that happened in, In Silence. You can finish this book in just a few hours! Anyways, after my crying from the last book.. this one was a freaking relief. Healing and planning. ALOT of planning. We are starting to see Enzo come into his position as the Mafia Prince Heir to his father, Anthony De Luca's Empire. I can't wait to see where it all goes from here!!

This was a novella & it was very much a filler book that probably could have been condensed to a few chapters at the begging of the next book. This series started strong but has just escalated into some really batshit unbelievable behaviour. I like me some angst but this is just getting silly. I don’t think I’ll read the next one.

Such a great complement to the story! In Pieces is the book 2.5 (a novella) in the Black Falls High series. It’s told from the guys POV so we get to be inside Fox, Cole, Enzo and Ethan’s head. This installment takes place between In Silence (book 2) and In Chaos (book 3), and it deals with the aftermath of the ending in book 2.

Such a quick and good read! Since we get the POV from the guys perspectives we really get to see their thought process and get to know them in a deeper level than the previous two books. Since we already have a notion of their personalities this is a great way to know what they are thinking and feeling, and how they handle such deep emotions. The aftermath of book 2 is a heartbreaking and we get to see how each one of them struggles and deals with it.

K.G. Reuss has done an excellent job in the first two books at describing each guy and their personalities, but this book blew me away. Without looking at the title of the chapter to see who’s POV we got, I could tell whose perspective I was reading. Such a character development too! We get to see how Fox acknowledges he needs to give some of the control and leadership to Enzo and Cole. Enzo did not disappoint either! He was the calm within the storm and was able to think rationally and guide his friends in such troubling times.

The banter in this book is off the charts! I love a good banter in books and this one did not disappoint! We get to see the love and devotion the guys have for each other and to Rosalie. They are willing to do anything in their power to make sure their family is safe and happy! You get to see how each of the guys show their love and support through small things, such as fruit baskets, daily roses, and baby gifts. I loved how they all refer to the baby as “our baby” and are fully committed to work together and help as a family.

The last thing I want to mentioned is that we get to see the guys' and Rosalie’s parents in this book and how they handle the fact that the four horseman are in a relationship with Rosalie.

Overall a 5/5 stars for me! A must read to go into In Chaos!

Welcome to my unpopular opinion.

I just don’t care about this story enough to pick up the next book.

It’s all getting REALLY long in the tooth now.
- How long were they banging Juliet for? Weren’t they supposed to be “figuring it out” during that time?
No? They solve it by stealing all her electronics in one night. Cool. That seems pretty simple. Sooooooo why were they fucking her for MONTHS?
Minus one point for all of them.

- When Fox was thinking of going back to her AGAIN???? I nearly threw the bloody Kindle across the room. Do you like her?? Or do you just want to cause Rosie pain? Like, God man??? What the hell!?
Minus one point for Fox

-Your solution is to fuck her while the others go steal her shit. I mean. How desperate are these guys to bang this Juliet bird? Feels like they’re just looking for excuses to fuck her.
🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
Damn.
Minus 20 points - at this point I’m deducting for irritability factor

- Cole constantly loses his shit around everything
Also, he skipped out on her when she needed him. Yeah cool, I get you’re in shock…but man up.
Minus 2 point for Cole (you’re going to be a dad dickwad)

- Enzo is suddenly the shit and a mafia boss baby.
Wut?

- Her dad is a dick.
Minus 20 points for all his shit. And hitting her? Can’t even. Just no. Zero redemption arc.

- Foxy’s dad is cool.
Plus 50 points for being the shit.

- Ethan went through hell. But I can already tell there is something about the meds that are going to trigger another relapse.

Long and short?
Zero spice in this one, unless you count the weird scene with Juliet and Fox in his room. Which…don’t get me started.
And I just don’t care anymore.
I can see where this is going. It’s going to end badly for her baby.
And I am hopping off this train.

Ok so this novella is exactly what I needed after my frustration with In Silence. Getting the guys POVs has made a huge difference and I love them even more now. I said previously I didn’t see enough of Enzo and Cole to feel connected to them and it’s the two of them that really stand out here.

There’s definitely more to Enzo than the good time guy. He’s calm and collected because he has no other choice and it’s his time to step into the role he was born to do

”Truth be told, I needed a break from the bullshit and drama. I wanted a simple life, not any of this. But this was my life. I had to embrace it or get choked by it. So there I was, arms wide fucking open.”

And Cole’s a changed man now. His darkness that have been alluded to since the first book is out now. The way he can’t see past anything but protecting Rosalie and the baby is insanely hot

”Returning to the man I was would never happen. Something snapped within me that night. Something that could never be repaired. Fuck. Maybe I’d been broken from the start.”

But what I liked the most was really getting to see the their bond and truly feel their love for Rosalie. They have great chemistry and banter as friends. I smiled to myself many times while reading. 🥰 and no lie, I looked it up and I wanna get an Alaskan King bed now 😂

I’m so excited for the final installment and especially to see how this new mafia storyline will unfold. 🤗

The spiceless novella is always a test of whether I actually like the story or am just here for the smut and I actually loved getting the dive into the boy's POV for this traumatic turn of events. I really appreciate that the author gave this little insight as to what happened because if we were depending on Rosalie's pov we'd be fucked!

The slogan of this series has gotta be PARENTS: conveniently out of town except when they need to be. Like GO COLE! Eat his heart! Fucking telling him, love that he stood up for his little garden.

The last page of this really worried me for what's to come, I can get past the one trope i loathe (but honestly i was kinda becoming a believer with how sweet the guys were being about it. Not saying I'm going to become a number 1 this trope fan, but we make do where we can) but this potential other one has to be done right or im gonna lose it.

Anyway Dominic, Bianca, and co have some serious competition when I return to Bolten bc I totally love these guys and this group.

I don't understand why they just don't off the bitch and get it over with.

It's clear she's going to be more problems and she's worth.

Yes I can be one sadistic motherfucker when I need to be. And myself, if some check was out there causing all these problems for my family damn straight I would take her out to protect my family.

Call me crazy. I don't give a shit. When it comes to my family there's nothing more important. Especially some scheming little ratastic bitch.

So how's everybody doing lol? As you can see I get a little bit tense when it comes to family. If anyone hurt my family, God help the soul that thought that they could get away with it. Because I agree with cole. Soul for soul. You'll see.

The guys are amazing.

I enjoyed reading each of the guys pov. With everything that has happened and current events, it was good to see what they were thinking. Last book was so stressful but this one was an easier read. Still had me a bit worried but I wasn't stressed about it. I felt like I got to know the guys better, I understand them more. I'm still a little nervous about what the next book will bring. I'm rooting for Rosie and the guys. 💕

This is the third book in the Black Falls High series (so please read first two) and is actually a Novella with the events happening in-between In Silence and In Chaos but this one is multiple POV. So unlike the previous books that have been from Rosie's POV this is from the Horsemen POV and I loved that we actually got chance to get inside the guys minds this time. Again there are heavy themes so check the TW. Yet another fantastic story and I can’t wait to read the final book in the series.

Brilliant!

Loved this POV from the guys! I just love them all equally, my heart is breaking for Cole, yet I love how in control Enzo is! Fox Is feeling so conflicted and Ethan is so vulnerable. Rosalie is definitely the glue that binds them all together. I Can't wait to see what happens in the next instalment, I really want Rosalie to get her HEA!!

We needed this book. The guy’s pov after what transpired in book 2. I can’t decide which of these men I love more. The waiting and anticipation had me in a chokehold. It was so beautiful seeing all their true emotions still exploding for Rosalie. Seeing Enzo step up into his new role was so special. I’m excited to see what’s going to go down now. Their future plans make my heart melt 🖤

Excuse me, but what did I just read?!? My world is shattered, my emotions are all over the place and I’m reeling from the ending of the prior book, In Silence.

This book brings together the guys’ perspectives that we have become accustomed to and they’re back: Fox, Ethan, Coke and Enzo after the ending we had with In Pieces.

It was an ok read for me. It was full of emotion and sadness.

The perfect teaser for the final book

I seriously want to say I hate this book as much as I love it because it was such a tease for the chaos that is coming in the final book of the series, IN CHAOS. I did love getting the guys points of view while they were trying to deal with the aftermath of the tragedy that occurred at the end of Book 2 in the Black Falls High Series. My heart broke for the guys in this book because their emotions were so strong. Now I'm anxious to see how Rosalie reacts to everything that happened to her. And Ethan is still my favorite of the guys!!!

'In Pieces' is a little long for a novella, but I don't care. It picks up just after the tragic events in 'In Silence'. It expresses the feelings all of the boys are feeling. Too much to go into but it's a shizstorm of emotions and actions. It does end with a cliffhanger as Rosie wakes from her induced coma. Not sure if memory loss will play into the next book. I guess we'll just have to impatiently wait for it. An excellent in between story. Overall a fantastic series worthy of a must read.

I received In Pieces as an arc and loved it so much I will still be purchasing the title to support the author.

In Pieces is the POV of the horseman immediately following the events of In Silence. This book really allows the reader to get to know the horseman and their strengths but also their weaknesses. For me it fleshed out the long term plans for the ‘family’ these men have planned. In Pieces forces a maturation of the characters that is often missing. Not only do I recommend this book but I advise you to read it a few times before In Chaos comes out. Allow yourself to really get to know these men!

This series hurt in so many ways. I still haven't gotten closure and it's killing me. Pretty sure this is an even bigger cliffhanger than the last one.

The Boys (not all romantic)-

Fox- fucking fox. I didn't per say dislike him but he definitely fucked up so much it made it hard to like him. He kept making the same mistakes over and over and it was really exhausting because he dragged the others with him and that hurt me a lot.

Ethan- My heart. He is my whole heart. The addictions? been there. The abuse? felt that. The self-harm? done that. I got him unlike anyone else, and my heart broke for him over and over again. I'm not mad she chose him, I'd have been pissed if she hadn't. His back story hurt me more than anything. I feel like I was plucked out of my life, had a few things changed and put into this story. I really hope the next book is better for him. He deserves it so so much.

Enzo- fuckin Italian mafia god, I love him. He was there when he needed to be and knew when to show his hand without giving everything away. I love him and his father so much and Emilio? God they're all amazing characters and I love learning more about him in this. I hope more becomes of him in the next book, see him fully take over his fathers business. Also.. it may be wishful thinking but Cole and Enzo? not certain there isn't more than just brotherly love there. at first yeah, but near the end they just.. idk I could see it.

Cole- I think out of everyone he definitely deserved to be the father. I mean come on, with everything he's got in his head, the heartbreak he felt over her when Fox pulled that bullshit the first time. I think either him or Ethan deserved it the most, but I'm glad it was him. We don't get a fuck ton about his backstory, but I liked him anyways.

Ian- Psychotic cunt, I hated him so much. I didn't even like him before the shit went down. Honestly, I'm with Enzo I think he got off easy with Cole. There was nothing easy about reading what Rosie went through and this hurt on a whole different level. I throughly hated him with all my heart and I hope his father gets the same in the end. He deserves it just as much.

Over all- I'm still heart broken and everything hurts s t I l l, but I have more hope than I did last time. But still just as many questions. My heart goes out to Cole.
