Peaches was the first person twelve-year-old Joe Samperi met after his family moved from Brooklyn to Kentucky, the first person outside his family who felt like home. Their love was instant and epic, spanning decades. They were the one thing that was always supposed to last. But Peaches had a past and present that kept trying to intrude and suddenly there was space where there had never been space before. When the worst finally happens, will they fall apart? Or will they realize happily ever after doesn't always look like they thought? The heartwarming conclusion to the Builders Series goes back to the beginning to tell how it all began.
Vanessa Gray Bartal is primarily a foodie who began writing when she was unable to find people willing to pay her to eat. She believes everyone deserves a happily ever after and works hard to make it happen, even in a murder mystery.

I’ve been waiting for Peaches and Joe’s story since the series started. It was a great, quick read. It’s not as funny as others but tackles harder subjects. I’m going to miss this book family!
Beautiful and touching. A departure from the author’s usual more lighthearted tone, but handled so well and with a good ending. How can you help but love these characters? This one is special. ❤️
