I had no idea what to expect with Arrowed as this is the first book I’ve read by this author & in the series. But this will definitely be a series I’m following from now on. I instantly liked Julienne and had no problems picking up with her adventures in book 4 instead of the beginning.

Julienne’s job in resort management has her in New Mexico in Arrowed, specifically training employees at a resort now under her employer’s ownership. This allows for a mix of new characters and even a bit of Nativ

Working as a travel trainer for a well-known resort with locations across the United States or even the world seems like a fun career to be in. Daniels expresses the enjoyment her characters place in their careers, while also allowing room for the wild side to come out. This is where the sleuthing comes in. Not only is main character, Julienne LaMere, able to travel around the country training resort management on their operating system, but she also has a reputation for solving the occasional m ...more

I enjoyed this book. I have loved this series and have read each book striaght after each other, which I don't normally do but they were that good. All four books are set in different hotels and have a core group of characters which are just great but they are four very different stories. The mystery in this book was interesting and I liked the way the murder weapon was linked in with the history of the area and the use of the very unusual weapon added to the questions. I had guessed who the kil ...more

My Review: I received a complimentary copy of this book via Pump Up Your Book, the following is my honest review and opinion. I am still relatively new to the Cozy Mystery genre and am always looking for new authors and series to try so took a chance on this book. Even though I haven't read the previous books in this series, I was able to jump right into the book. While a couple of the characters are repeat characters in the series, for the most part it was a new setting and a mostly new cast o ...more

Arrowed by Avery Daniels is the 4th book in A Resort to Murder Mystery series, and another fun book. I really enjoyed this book/series and am looking forward to reading the next book. Julienne is sent to a Sante Fe resort that her boss has recently acquired. Julienne is sent to train the staff, when a murder occurs and her boss instructors her to take care of it. Julienne is happy her boyfriend Mason agreed to come along, he will be taking scenic pictures while she trains. On top of everything, ...more

No matter where Julienne goes, there's sure to be excitement....and murder. This time she goes to Santa Fe to train the employees who work for a hotel her employer just purchased. She was lucky to have her boyfriend Mason keep her company on this trip. Out on a walk, she finds another body and gets pulled into investigating the murder. Since she has a history of finding bodies, her employer has trained her in security and wants her to find the murderer before it damages the hotels reputation. Th ...more

Arrowed: Resort to Murder, Book 4 is Avery Daniels latest in the Resort series. The book is set in New Mexico around local Indian lore. A Resort attendee, Merritt, was found murdered with an arrow in his throat. Merritt’s dying words was that the curse killed him. Julienne is a manager in training and her boss wants her to assist the police. I felt like the characters were written in a way that brought them to life and they stayed true to themselves. I felt like the writing was do good and the p ...more

This book follows Julienne who is sent to a resort to train the staff and finds herself being pressured to solve a murder. It's a very captivating adventure where you watch Julienne try to solve the crime. We also get to see Julienne get some much needed time with her boyfriend.

This was a great cozy mystery that pulls you in and won't leave you until the adventure is over and the murder is solved. What a fabulous mystery along the lines of Cleo Coyle and many others!

It’s a pleasure to read a cozy with a strong, professional female protagonist and this one was definitely a pleasure. Julienne certainly delivers and while she is professional and direct, she has a caring side that makes her relatable.

What I enjoyed most was how the author wove in a local Native American story into her own story, making you feel like you were soaking up some local Santa Fe history along with the whodunit. I will be checking out the first three books on the series and watching f

Arrowed earns 5/5 Bows & Arrows...Engaging Entertainment! Bullseye! Avery Daniels has penned another exciting adventure in the fourth book of her Resort to Murder series, but this time, set in New Mexico with delightful references to Mexican and Native American culture, food, and a fascinating legend of a vengeful brave to hang a murder on. Julienne LeMere’s boss has sent her to his new acquisition, the Enchantment Canyon Resort, a “mind, body, and spirit wellness” retreat, tasked to train the s ...more

Julienne works for a resort company. The Santa Fe resort has just taken on new ownership and Julienne is sent there with her boyfriend to train the staff.

During the off hours, Julienne and her boyfriend are getting to know each other better. After dinner, they were strolling the property. Just as things were heating up between the two of them, Julienne feels a hand on her ankle. Lying at her feet is a man with an arrow in his chest. "Part of a sensational murder series, Arrowed (Resort to Murder: Book 4) by Avery Daniels is a delightful amateur sleuth mystery. It is engaging from its intriguing introduction until its thrilling conclusion. Tenacious and irrepressible, Julienne's character is likable as well as relatable. I especially loved the character contrast between Julienne and her boyfriend's ex-girlfriend, Tiffany. Tiffany makes a fabulous antagonist and is a perfect foil for Julienne. Their friction and ambivalence e ...more
When Julienne's boss buys a new resort in New Mexico, she is sent to train the employees on new software. Taking along her bodyguard boyfriend, this should be the opportunity they need to move their relationship to the next, more intimate, level. Except that things, like murder, keep spoiling the mood. This is a couple that just can not catch a break.
But can Julienne catch a killer?

You can read this as a stand alone mystery. The main characters are likable and it is a study of ethics and morals.

*the book was provided by voracious readers in return for an honest review.

When I began reading Arrowed, I was somewhat sceptical as it read as a ‘Murder She Wrote’ episode and I wasn’t sure I’d see it through. But I developed sympathy for Julienne (not a carrot but the female lead); and a wry smile for Mason (the inevitable handsome/strong male); though their relationship appears convoluted at best.

The story travelled swiftly, with a number of characters, scene descriptions and contentious citi

A big thank you to NetGalley and Blazing Sword Publishing Ltd for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This book is part of a series. But it reads well as a stand alone. Although I did not quite understand the relationship between Mason and Julienne. The book is full of intrigue...i got caught up in the mystery. I thought Julienne's boss was not helpful. Its a good story, with the ending a bit unexpected. I enjoyed it and would read others. I think most cozy mystery readers would enjoy ...more

This is a fun read with good character development and a well-crafted plot. There’s plenty of interesting banter, intrigue, and red herrings. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series. I recommend this book to younger and older adults alike. It’s clever, it’s fun and it keeps you engrossed in the mystery. Well done.

An engaging and entertaining cozy mystery. This was my first experience with this series. I like the protagonist. Clever murder weapon. Surprising full involvement in the solving the case. Good atmosphere description. A smidgeon of paranormal. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley.

Julienne is no non sense MC. The book was a light and enjoyable read. I really enjoyed the local Santa Fe history throughout. There are three more in the series. I would recommend starting with the first but it’s not a must to understand.
