An undercover witch. A reluctant supernatural mafia leader. A love that could get them both killed.

Graham Lennox never wanted to be the leader of the North American Natura.

4 dark magic and secrets stars

Wow, that's all I can say now that I've finished this book. What an ending 🤯 From a way too slow beginning to an incredibly suprising ending, it was quite the journey!

Until the middle of the book, this was an okay 3 stars at most. The pace was SO slow and I was super annoyed with Graham and Astrid. They were the worst characters I had read in a long time.

Graham was obsessed with Astrid and didn't do shit about his President's duties. I u

Unique PNR

The second book in the Natura Elementals series open ups the world building of the first book. It’s a fast past read with engaging characters, hot bed sport and a lot of intrigue well worth the read via kindle unlimited.

“The Lure of Air” is the second full-length installment in the “Natura Elementals” urban fantasy series by Sloane Calder, set in a world much like our own, ruled by the laws of nature and its elemental forces, in which the only difference lies in the embodiment of that elements into like-wise human beings, with elemental powers that enables them to manipulate the elements and balance the damage created by humans. Calder’s writing style is impeccable, rich, elaborated, and intelligent, but still ...more

HOLY CRAP THIS WAS GOOD. I’m so happy with this book and the continuation of this series in the Natura world. The Lure of Air is the second book in the Natura Elementals and Calder and this world just keeps getting better.

Following the events from the first book, The Lure of Air introduces us to Graham Lennox, the new Natura continental president and “Fire Magnus.” Graham coming into power is met with some harsh realities, from dealing with residual Natura politics leftover from his grandfather

I really really really enjoyed this book. I will admit that I am definitely a "judge a book by it's cover" kind of gal, ESPECIALLY when it comes to fantasy or paranormal books. If the cover isn't colorful and exciting, then I'm not going to read it. This cover is beautiful, which is what initially drew me to the series. This is the second full-length novel in the Natura Elementals series, and there are also two novellas. I do recommend, at the very least, reading the first full-length novel, and ...more

“The Lure of Air (Natura Elementals 2)” was at first confusing for me. I was seriously thinking about giving up on this book in the first two chapters. I am glad I pushed on. With that said, this is not a standalone book. I think that readers will have to read, “The Call of Fire” and the other novellas before “The Lure of Air”. I felt like I walked in on the middle of something, but what I walked in on was something unique, suspenseful and entertaining. The story involved supernatural beings wit ...more

I love this series! The outstanding world building is exceptional with supernatural beings tasked with healing the Earth's environmental damage. The world of Naturas (elemental beings of Fire, Air, Water and Earth) plus witches and other beings living among and hiding from humans is spectacular. This continues with the legacy of a powerful Natura family, the Lennoxs, with a new leader and tons of issues to resolve. Graham is fabulous as the super smart scholar thrust into the position of preside ...more

Sloane Calder has totally created a colorful world with her Natura Elementals, and I'm here for it all despite the fact that I normally don't read much PRN. These stories surround supernatural beings with special powers of the elements, who are living among the human folk. Our hero, Graham, is a scientist working on creating a cure to save his brother, but he is tasked with ruling his own kind, and despite not wanting to do so, he really had no choice. That brings us to Astrid, his lab assistant ...more

This one was a hard one for me. I loved the story. I loved Graham. I liked Astrid but I didn't fully like her until her truths were discovered. Astrid had a tendency to frustrate me. She was so wishy washy. One minute she was strong with her decisions and the next she wasn't so sure. She loved Graham but she was so determined to find her mom and continue her mission that she had to run and hide the truth from him over and over again. It really bothered me that she willingly kept that potion too. ...more

He is a scientist, he has spent years trying to find a cure for the disease that is killing his brother. Unfortunately, his grandfather is dead, and Graham Lennox is expected to take his grandfather's place as the leader of the North American Natura. Astrid Bryne has been Graham's research assistant for a few years, and readily agrees to his request to join him at his southern headquarters. Astrid isn't exactly the person Graham thinks she is, she has a mission to save witches who have been kidn ...more

Astrid is a witch undercover with a secret, deadly and shunned organization posing as an Air Natura on a mission to find missing witches one of whom is her mother. Graham is a scientist and a very powerful Air and Fire Natura that has just become the President of their people because his grandfather has died and left the job to him. While Astrid and Graham continue his work Astrid strays from the original plans as their taboo romance is fraught with danger, intrigue, betrayal, lies, secrets, hea ...more

This is book two of the Natura Elementals series and it was fantastic! I really loved both Graham and Astrid and they were a perfect fit for each other. They were both engaging and likable characters, and their chemistry was palpable. The blend of suspense, action, drama, lies, and romance, made for an entertaining and enjoyable read. Highly recommend.

I Love that this Book has continued where the first one left off. The connection between Graham and Astrid is so good. Just like the first book this one pulled me in from the first page. The connections between all of the characters is so deep and emotional that you can really feel the relationships. Can't wait to Read the next book.

Each book in the Natura of Elements can be a read as a standalone but I suggest reading them in order to get full enjoyment.
We pick up where The Call of Fire ends, unfortunately for Graham he is now leader of the North American Natura. As s scientist wanting to left alone in his trying to find a cure for disease that is killing his brother and spreading. In Graham’s lab is Astrid, his committed lab assistant that wants from afar. Astrid has a secret, but having other ties, lies, have are upended

This is book 2 of the series I read. The story and characters keep building. I love that the characters from Book continue to be front and center and the author continues to build upon it. I cant share a lot without SPOILERS, just say I was worried Book2 was going to have a very sad ending, but we got thrown a curveball and saved ! The fantasy characters, family drama, good vs evil (seems to switch sides a lot) and new unexpected characters leave you waiting for the NEXT BOOK. Very exciting, fas ...more

The ending!!! This was a very good read! It took a few chapters to get into, once there the story took off. There is still a lot of story to solve and it's getting interesting. I love Graham and Astrid, they had some hot scenes, and you could really feel the chemistry. I like that you still have the same characters as the first and things keep building. Great world building as well! Recommend this book and can't wait for the next! ...more

I enjoyed this book. I thought the writing was well done and the overarching storyline engaging and intriguing. I found Graham and Astrid likable and I felt they worked excellently as a couple. The blend of suspense, drama, emotion and steam was delicious. This is my frank, freely posted review.

The second book in the Natura Elementals series a well written story with a very good storyline, the story flowed smoothly across the pages. Graham Lennox is continent leader for the North American Natura but he is also trying to find a cure for his brother. His lab assistant Astrid Byrne is hiding the fact that she is a witch. This story has suspense, drama, danger, twists, turns, secrets, lies, and romance. I want to read the next book, there is going to be a lot to deal with coming. I receive ...more

Book 2 was a pleasant surprise, a bit different from what I thought it would be. The storyline had a bit of action, adventure, suspense, mystery and drama. The main characters were interesting, and they had depth. Their story pulled me in and kept me absorbed and entertained until the end. It was an entertaining and enjoyable read.

The second book in this Natura Elementals series which I am loving! I highly recommend reading the first one before reading this one, you really need to understand the world and how it works or else you will be a tad confused I think!

Picking up straight after the first book, Graham has taken over ruling the North Amercian Natura area after his Grandfather was killed. He has a lot on his plate..... with his Grandfather's way of ruling, no one trusts a Lennox and a rebellion is brewing. He never w
