Great photos of works from the collection. We saw this grouping at the St.Petersburg Museum in Florida. Opened my eyes about the Czars and their wealth and elaborance.
Beautiful pictures, some nice essay portions of the times, good detail, though it did take me longer time to get through as its not exactly fast reading. I especially enjoyed the artifact of the wool embroidery map of Russia from 1872. And it was interesting to learn that on page 218, Nicholas I state policy was "orthodoxy, autocracy, nationality" which defined the ideology of the state. Still present today.
