You know whats better than the "only 1 bed" trope? "Only 1 bed but the main character reads fanfiction and is well aware of the trope"

This book is pure fun. The characters are so loveable, their relationship and dynamic is entertaining and adorable. I didn't want to say goodbye to them at the end.

I can't wait for this to be out so more people will read it and we can all scream about it together because this was such a fantastic book.

Hooray! When I read Spoiler Alert I felt so much love for geeky couple Marcus and April and I thought I couldn’t enjoy second book more! But I was definitely, truly, extremely wrong! I gave Spoiler Alert five stars so I should give All the feels six stars to be fair!

Those incredibly witty, funny banters, hilarious text messages gave me stomach cramps because of laughing too hard. I knew Alex from the first book but when I learn from his traumatic , his guilt feelings, his sweet and vulnerable

This was so delightful! If you liked Spoiler Alert, you’ll love this one. It’s a very similar storyline in that it’s gorgeous Hollywood actor man and plus sized woman and bring on the representation! Dade always manages to weave in so much good rep without it feeling forced. Alex, our hero, has ADHD and seemingly violent tendencies (which we learn is simply not true) and is struggling with his role in Hollywood and his past but is an outwardly happy for lucky dude. Lauren, our heroine, is a more ...more

This is potentially my favorite Olivia Dade book yet, and that is saying something. I generally don't care that much about male characters but I'm obsessed with Alex Woodroe and also might be him???? Excellent ADHD rep, is all I'm saying. The book used to be called Slow Burn, and it makes you feel it, but it's definitely worth it. Love these idiots to lovers. ...more

This book is addictive! Sooooo sweet!

The writing was wonderful and funny but it was also reflective and honest at times and the humor was evenly spread through the book, which is important for a good rom-com.
Alex and Lauren are both so well developed and so loveable, and their chemistry was THROUGH THE ROOF!

Overall, I loved this book and I can definitely see myself rereading it in the future.

4.5 stars, CW: domestic violence of a secondary character in the past, trauma associated with that in a MC

Brief thoughts: I love that these two are completely different from Marcus and April. Lauren loves herself, which is THE BEST THING. Alex definitely reminded me of a golden retriever but also had so much nuance to his character and I thought his development was really well done. There's a scene between these two at the end that raised the book at least half a star for me.

spoiler alert was my favorite book of 2020, so of course all the feels was my most anticipated read of the year. at this point, everything i have read by olivia dade has been delightful and this book was not different. i loved alex and lauren’s love story.

as you can know from the blurb, lauren is hired to keep an eye on alex so he doesn’t get into trouble until the last season of gods of the gates airs. alex is very impulsive, but t

This was a delightful follow-up to Spoiler Alert. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Lauren and Alex and seeing how their relationship progressed from being forced to be around each other because of a job to genuinely liking one another. This is definitely a slowburn romance, but I think it spent the right amount of time building up their feelings so it seemed justified when they finally got together.

As with Spoiler Alert, all the discussion of fandom and fanfiction here was a lot of fun. I

Anyways. I love Olivia Dade and the way she writes characters. She has given me another chaotic Alex to fall in love with which apparently is becoming my favorite type of character. Alex and Lauren have fabulous banter and I love how sure they both are about themselves. They are both late 30s and they discuss their concerns/issues right away (for the most part) and they just feel mature.

This has so many cute moments and I just smiled the entire ti

Oh boy, do I have all the feels... I loved this book. I think it was a very strong follow-up to Spoiler Alert, which was one of my favorite books so far this year. Alex is the fun and lovable idiot who is so utterly passionate about everything that I fell in love immediately. Lauren is so genuine, witty, and, in my opinion, a great representation of a "bigger woman." These two made me laugh out loud several times and definitely made me feel for them in the end. Couldn’t put it down. And it was oh-so-close to 5 stars, just a couple little extras that I had wished for, nit-picky things that I had wished for for Lauren’s character. But the story and characters were absolutely addicting.

I love a good enemies to lovers storyline. The energy and snappy banter between Alexander and Lauren were so much fun. And then the way their relations shifts and morphs and becomes a gradual arc was done so well. I love how Dade writes vulnerabilities and insecurities, wit

The Sitch: Alex is a troublemaker on the set of Gods of the Gates. Or at least that is how it seems to everyone. And Alex isn't about to explain himself to anyone. Much less the keeper his annoying boss has given him to watch him during the final days of the show. Lauren wasn't looking for it, but she ends up helping out her annoying cousin (and showrunner) by taking on the task of watching Alex. Time is spent in forced proximity, one bed trope is acti

A romantic beach read with a healthy dose of women's empowerment thrown in.

Alexander Woodroe was introduced in Spoiler Alert. He is an actor in a show called Gods of the Gates. He plays Cupid on the show. He is gorgeous, impulsive, loyal and reckless. His activities have created some gossip that has reflected negatively on the show, so his producer hires a minder for him. Lauren is the producer's cousin, who was on vacation in Spain when she gets roped into helping out her cousin. The cou
I love this book. I love it so much.

I was charmed immediately by the nature of Alex and Lauren’s relationship with each other. Alex has ADHD and it makes him hyperverbal, while Lauren has closed herself off from the world in a subconscious way to protect herself from the constant onslaught of trauma she saw in the ER and the lack of resources available to her to help those who crossed her path. Alex makes it his goal to coax Lauren’s personality out because he finds her captivating (he is enthr

All the Feels was super cute! I liked it a lot as it offered me escapism in a tough time. This book made me laugh and I really enjoyed the dynamic between the two main characters. However, I felt that the romance was a bit rushed. I could understand why the two characters cared for one another, but it felt almost instant and with barely any build up. While I didn't enjoy this one as much as Spoiler Alert, I still had a really good time reading it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cu ...more

I loved this book so much. I love the cover. I love the characters. I love the story. I love every single thing about it. I laughed so hard I had the tears. I love it. I love it. I love it. I think I need the paperback so I can read it again and again and again and look at it always.

Lauren is not like other heroines. She is strong, but has insecurities. She is a realist, and I love her for it. I want to rail at her parents for missing some pretty critical signs of trouble throughout her life. T

“I know who you are. The first thing you said to me.” His smile faded into solemnity, and his eyes were bright and earnest in the moonlight. “And you do. You know who I am, and you told me I was a good man. Since I trust you, that means it must be true. And now, if I doubt myself, I only have to look at my arm. For the rest of my life.”

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read an e-ARC of this in exchange for an honest review!

I absolutely adored Spoiler Alert, so it was unfortunate and disappointing that I did not enjoy this one as much.

First off, the plot kind of felt non-existent in this book... things were supposedly happening but it felt like nothing really actually did. A lot of the events in the book and moments that led to Lauren and Alex being in certain situations just felt unrealistic. Even worse,

Sometime in the last month or so, I was listening to a romance podcast where the cohosts applauded an author for the clear love they have for their characters. They're nuanced, they make mistakes, they're imperfect, they want to be better, and they're treated with respect by the author.

This book isn't that book.

It's a very interesting choice to spend the first 25% of your book negging a heroine. Lauren is not ""traditionally attractive,"" and you cannot forget it. Alex acknowledges she isn't pre

4.5/5 ⭐️

Olivia Dade writes to my soul, and I love it so much.

Alex’s acting career is quickly spiraling out of control, so he’s assigned a nanny to keep him in line. Lauren’s past work as a therapist in an ER makes her uniquely qualified to handle Alex’s outbursts, but she didn’t count on Alex being far more caring than the tabloids made him seem.

I. Loved. This. Book.

Alex Woodrow is a hot-shot actor that has a leading role in the current hottest TV show. He would appear to have it all. He is rich, famous, and HOT! Sadly, Alex cannot seem to stay out of trouble. In the most recent negative tabloid article, the star is reported to have been in a bar fight. The executives of the show have hired Lauren Clegg to babysit him and keep him in line 24/7. As in, go where he goes, and even live with him. This should keep Alex out of trouble, right?

Olivia Dade grew up an undeniable nerd, prone to ignoring the world around her as she read any book she could find. Her favorites, though, were always, always romances. As an adult, she earned an M.A. in American history and worked in a variety of jobs that required the donning of actual pants: Colonial Williamsburg interpreter, high school teacher, academic tutor, and (of course) librarian.
