This GIANT boxed set contains the first four books of The Adventures of Finnegan Dragonbender and then continues the story with the complete 3 book Lone Valkyrie Series.
The Adventures of Finnegan Dragonbender
After years of searching Finn has finally found the motherload. Unfortunately, there’s no way to get it home. And he’s got to meet John Wayne.
Stranded and alone in Denver, Colorado, Finn and his partner Penny (a foot and a half long Faerie Dragon) search for friends and allies in this strange new land.
But something about this place isn’t right. Magic has gone underground, and has anyone seen John Wayne?
Lucky for Finn he’s a Dwarf, and underground is where he does his best work.
Join Finn, Penny and their new friends on an adventure that spans the globe and holds the fate of an entire planet in its twists and turns.
And just maybe a tall Dwarf and a small dragon can find their place in the universe.

Every time a shot rings out a Valkyrie earns her wings. Mila is earning hers the hard way hunting down the monsters that have taken her sister.
It was supposed to be a simple scouting mission.
But the trail is leading her to an unexpected discovery. What if the things that go bump in the night start to slither out into the light?
An ancient horror, full of malice and nightmares, is coming to the Idaho Wilderness.
She should probably run, but Valkyries don't back down from a fight, no matter the risk.
Besides, there are lives at stake, and it’s a Valkyries job to choose the dead. The Dwarf King would be proud.

He once ate an entire pizza then ran through the streets shouting to anyone that would listen that he was full.
Satisfaction comes easy for those who find satisfaction satisfying.
Charles really doesn't know what to write here... He made up that part about running through the streets and yelling. He has done that, but not after eating an entire pizza; though he has done that as well. Actually, everything so far is true, just not in the right order... That happens a lot.
If you're still reading this, Charles feels like you might be going through a tremendously boring time in your life, and recommends picking up a book. He just so happens to have a few you can choose from. If you don't like his books, then there are a few million on Amazon you can peruse at your own leisure. Though, if you don't like his books, why are you here? Why are any of us here? Is the universe just a simulation that will be reset when we die, like the restarting of the worst/best game in history?
Sorry, Charles may have gone down a Wikipedia rabbit hole last night, starting with 'Brown Bananas' and ending up with 'The Heat Death of the Universe'. it was a long night...
If you have any questions feel free to reach out and ask Charles, he might even show you how to make pancakes.
WOW what a fantastic read. It turns everything you think about certain fantasy species upside down. Finn a 6'5" dwarf who is searching for a very special spaceship called earth! His adventures are brilliant and Penny is just the cutest smartass Carrie Dragon you could ever imagine. Mila the anthropologist who first helps Finn suddenly becomes a valkyrie who is but isn't because of the shield maiden tattoo he puts on her back. There's absolutely nothing bad I can say except that I really hope it's not the last we hear from them. Couldn't put it down and even cried with laughter at some points. A must read for fantasy lovers it's just been one of the most enjoyable series I've been lucky enough to find and I'm really not surprised that Michael Anderle was part of the writing team. Each one of his series I've had the good fortune to come across have been some of my favourite reads. I'm loving his books as much as I love my Anne McCaffrey Owen books I can't get enough of them. Brilliant from start to finish more please!!!!!
I've written individual reviews for each of the 7 books in this Set, so I won't go over my thoughts on them again, but I felt I should write a review for them all together.
These 2 series were well worth buying, and I'm SO glad that I did, as Charley Case wasn't known to me before reading them.
Now that I've sampled his works, I'm really hoping that the gap between this being published: 2021, and now: 2024, has been full of Charley writing a follow on series, as his Author's Notes hinted at.
I'm used to reading excellent books written by Martha Carr and Michael Anderle, but Charley Case's style of writing was very much his own, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading every book in the Set - so, I'll be waiting, patiently, I hope, for whatever he publishes next!
My husband read this series first and he talked about it so much I decided to try it , I'm not much of a SyFy fan. But I love Dragon stories. Well, I got hooked! It just barrels along a hundred miles an hour! I would have given it five stars except the swear words, mainly the "F" one, kind of bothered me. But the story is great. I can't wait for more Finnegan Dragonbender books. There just had to be more, right author, Case? And by the way, I saw your picture, are you sure your first name is not Finnegan???
I loved this series! Laugh out loud funny and great flow from one book to the other. The characters were lively and well thought out. I thoroughly enjoyed the heroes and dispised the villans; just how I like my books. If only this series had continued with the whole Charleston Chew bit. I'm seriously going to try them in coffee as soon as I can find some around here. I highly recommend reading this set of books!
So awesome!!! Met a dwarf unlike any other, with his own little faerie dragon!!!! So awesome!!! It's been a while since I was last in the Terranavis Universe, but it came back to me pretty quickly. Got to interact with the huldu again and relearn the peabrain experience. Mila and Danica are two great characters. The characters in the series are all pretty awesome. I keep using that word, but it really sums up all of these books - AWESOME!!!!
Fin, mia, danica, penny and all of the friends are there
It took me a couple of days... But, by far, this is one of the best books! Magic and mayhem. Dwarf, faerie dragons valkyries and more to fight an evil so terrible that it could destroy the ship we live on--- Earth.. a must read!!
Both of these series, which comprise the boxed set, were a really good read. Characters I fell in love with and no sign of hugely expected outcomes (part from the end, but it was the how that was worth waiting for). Need to find more from this author now and hope they don’t disappoint (sure they won’t)
Sit back and enjoy some fun character development and a grand adventure. Well done. And during a time when I really needed escape a few minutes it's a day, this was wonderful. Family, ER shifts, media and stress can all be kept out of mind for little.breaks as I enjoyed this series.
So many wonderful Characters In a overall bad story. I really laughed and enjoyed a great deal, but the big picture was just not believable. The little things were though. Penny was my favorite character by far. The ending did it justice as well, although it took 2 chapters before I really decided I would read through.
I couldn't put this series down, not a dull moment a delightful story with great characters all of them, I enjoyed laughing at some of the things said cheering on the heroes, and what a lovely Dwarf Finnegan turned out to be with his cute and dangerous Penny. Can't wait for the next release.
So much better than fairy tales nothing is as expected but seemingly a coming of age story except with elf’s valkartes dwarfs witches goblins and a fairy dragon with a whole lot of fighting magic and scary octopus monster read it it’s great wish they were my neighbors
The story was great, the characters were larger than life. Just what a good story needs. Only one flaw.... The ending was a bit abrupt. I guess it leaves space for more?
Wasn’t really sure what to expect but I found every chapter totally captivating. The tie-in between both stories was seem less and I found I couldn’t put the books down.
Fun, imaginative, it takes the saying "Sailing on a ship " to the next level. Definitely for a rated R group and older that like funny punny writing with facts and local color with a tad bit of historical information and mythology.
This book has it all. The main characters compliment each other. There is adventure, romance, magic, hope love of life and family, fighting evil and so much more. I could not stop reading it until I finished it.
Charley Case is new to me but between him and Martha Carr they created a group of characters that are unique and fun. This series will take you to a world that is easily one I personally would be happy to be a part of.
I loved the whole boxed set and only wish there had been more to read, I would have liked to know more about Penny's babies and Mila and Finn,, so much left hanging .. LIKE WHAT MILA WAS ACTUALLY TURNING INTO.
A refreshing mix of mythology, magic fantasy and science fiction, Finn, Mika and the rest of the gang are captivating. A must read. Can't wait for more
