The close-knit bond between prophecy and history, according to O. Palmer Robertson, becomes particularly clear through the study of Nahum, Habakkuk, and Zephaniah. Of all the currently available commentaries on Habakkuk, I have found Palmer's the most theologically insightful and the best overall in addressing the difficulties that accompany the book. It is good, not as technical as some others (Patterson, McComisky), yet faithful and edifying. It has probably been the most helpful resource I have turned to in writing my own commentary on Habakkuk (Teleioteti, expected late 2016, 2017).

A excellent commentary on these neglected books. His introductory material, where he set the books in their historical context, was superb. He also included a lot of practical application.
