Buried Beneath

Rate this book
Camilo Canto has unfinished business.

As the newest member of the Bishop Security team, Cam has left the dark world of undercover work with the CIA and is starting a new life in South Carolina. Unfortunately, there is a haunting figure from his past with an agenda. The Conductor is a criminal mastermind who wants Cam eliminated along with the evidence Cam compiled while working undercover. A devious plot is in place to do just that. Cam is abducted and awakes on the island paradise of Mallorca, where crime, danger, and obsession are buried beneath the picture-perfect surface. In order to stop The Conductor, Cam must sift through layers of diversion, including an infatuated supermodel, a corrupt mine owner, and an obsessed treasure hunter. As he fits the puzzle together, Cam crosses paths with a beautiful archaeologist searching for answers to another mystery hidden in the caves beneath the island.

Evangeline Cole is a Ph.D. candidate in Mallorca with an archaeological team. When Evan stumbles upon a strange marker, she is compelled to follow the clues to solve a centuries-old mystery buried in the caves. When Evan's treasure hunt crosses paths with Cam's investigation, passion and danger ignite. Cam is forced to confront both the real and psychological demons from his years undercover to find the true treasure buried beneath.

Be advised: this story contains scenes of violence equivalent to an R-rated movie and explicit sexual situations.

For the last four years, Camilo (Cam) Canto worked undercover for the CIA as Miguel Ramirez, an enforcer for a dangerous arm dealer. Now that he’s an operative for Bishop Security, he is still adapting to his change in identity. Unfortunately, someone from Miguel’s world isn’t done with him and spirits him back to Mallorca. Evangeline (Evan) Cole is a PhD candidate working with an archeological team in Mallorca and stumbles upon what appears to be a significant find in the caves near March Mining. Cam and Evan’s paths cross in an unusual way, which seals their destiny.

The exotic locales are one of the elements I love about this series. This story takes us to several places in Mallorca, Crimea and Serbia where I felt like I was in the setting. Cam is an interesting character and his undercover persona was scary. The duality of his identities is a major conflict for him as it wasn’t easy for him to transition back, especially when he meets Evan. Miguel had a horrible reputation when it came to relationships so Cam was sorely tested after meeting her and having to mask his feelings to protect himself and her. Meanwhile, the search for The Conductor continues, not sure if he’s real or mythical but someone who may control all the international black market shipping.

I also enjoyed Evan as a character. She’s smart, feisty and talented, a woman who knows who she is and is a bit fearless. She’s a perfect match for Cam who can’t even acknowledge that fact and it’s Miguel who is helping her in the caves. There’s lots of danger in the background as Cam doesn’t understand why he was made to come back to his undercover role or who was really pulling the strings. But it’s Cam and Evan’s relationship that was the more interesting aspect as it was complicated and endearing. I also like the dynamics of the team of people who work for Bishop Security. They’re unique characters but are bonded brothers and sisters. I’m looking forward to their individual stories that are queued up nicely in this one. Loved being back in this world.

Bishop Security's latest recruit, Camilo Canto, is a former CIA agent who worked undercover for an Arms Dealer for a few years. Cam has recently learned that someone has tried to contact his CIA phone, looking for Miguel Ramirez, Cam's alternate identity. While trying to learn who wants to contact Miguel, Cam is abducted and ends up in Mallorca, the "guest" of a super model who he had a one-night stand with last year while undercover. Trying to figure out who was behind his abduction, Cam is back to playing the role of deadly enforcer Miguel Ramirez.

Evangeline Cole is an archaeologist working on Mallorca when she stumbles across what she thinks could be a significant find. The area she is searching is owned by a mining company. Miguel finds her and warns her to stay away. But when Evan comes back in the dead of night to continue her search, Miguel decides to help her.

I loved the first two books in the Bishop Security series. This book is even better. We have a great suspense plot, well-developed characters, and a heart-felt romance. Not only do we get Cam and Evan's story, but we also get to hang with the rest of the Bishop Security staff. I can’t wait for the next book. My rating: 5 Stars.

I am so proud of myself. You guys should be proud of me too. I conquered my fear of this book, before 2022 is no more. Obviously, I need to explain myself...

First, I LOVE THIS SERIES! And with all things that I love, my feelings are raw, invested, and very, very fragile... So why was I such a chicken to read this book all year? Cause I was just as eager to read book 2, and that one, though a good read overall, left me wanting more with the couple there, big time. But I am now kicking myself for waiting this long to read this story.

Me wanting to know Cam's story in equal measure as I was with book 2 with Tox, had me a little gun shy. Then I made the ultimate mistake... I allowed my fear of reading this story to influence my decision, based on a comment from a fellow book reviewer about how bad it was. That the romance was "horrible and the book itself was just not all that great." I know, I know. I should have never committed the ultimate sin in this. Usually, I don't. I guess I was just feeling a bit insecure. But I should have never doubted my girl, Ms. Baldwin. Please forgive me.

So, not only was this 3rd installment suspense driven, but it also had all the trimmings for me. From Archaeology treasures, humor, action, heart, fear, lust, and love. Love in all its forms is present in this story. It really is refreshing to see how these strong, battle worn scarred men, cherish one another and lean on each other. I just love seeing the camaraderie here among these men.

Now, the love story was a bit unconventional with how it played out, I will say that. And I was a bit worried, but somehow the way it was put on the pages, given everything that was going on around them at the time, the circumstances; it still worked somehow. It also didn't hurt that we got more with them in the last 2 chapters and the Epilogue. That Epilogue was CLASSIC! LOVED IT! All that was shown was just amazing for me. Not rushed or forced. It all just flowed quite well. And it also wound up being an unexpected Christmas read for me too, given the Holiday season that was written in here. Things were so on point that I actually shed a little tear.

The action and suspense here had me all kinds of stressed out and a bit angry. The crazy rabbit hole you fall down in this story, won't allow me to mention much for fear of ruining things for you. The journey is just as important as the destination here. Trust me. The way certain things come about is in a soft-nonthreatening way. Then unexpectedly it slaps you upside the head. Leaving you wondering who actually hit you.

I don't know how you did it, Ms. Baldwin, but had this type of story been penned by any other author, I know I would not have loved this one as much as I do. Thank you for a great read.

So, I am off to read Finn soon (book 4). Lord someone hold my hand with this one.

I would definitely recommend this read/series.
PLEASE read in order.

Thank you, Ms. Baldwin, for my complimentary copy of this read.

Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) provided by the Author in exchange for an fair and honest review.

I am just loving this series and the guys and gals of Bishop Security. One thing I feel compelled to point out is that Debbie Baldwin lets these characters have families and I just love that. Most RS authors make their main characters only children and orphans. That just is so unrealistic. While the families may not play big roles in the books, it's wonderful to know they exist. There is just something about the connectedness these characters have that strikes a cord deep within me and I can't wait for the next book!

Camilo Canto is the latest recruit for Bishop Security. He is a former SEAL and after that life he became a CIA officer. He thought he had left the spook world behind until a mysterous call to his old CIA phone. Now, he has been abducted and brought to the island of Mallorca by a woman he had a one night stand with while undercover. That is quite a long way to go to get a guy, espically when Cam is soooo not that guy. But Cam is almost positive that the supermodel isn't behind all this. He suspects this was set up by a shadowy figure called The Conductor, whom most believe is a just a myth. Cam figures the best way to figure out this puzzle is to play along, so he once again becomes the dangerous and deadly enforcer, Miguel Ramirez

While on Mallorca for a archaelogical dig, Evangeline Cole is approached by a group of kids about caves and tunnels and mysterious marker stones. Evan is hopeful that this could lead to a find that will cement her Ph.D. What she finds are men who aren't happy with her pokeing around and some very intriguing marker stones. One of the bullies, Miguel, is actually helping her and she senses a duality in him, the nasty thug and something else. Cam knows that there is danger in the caves, yet is compelled to help Evan with her Quest. As danger escalates, passions do too and Cam must confront just who he really is.

Camilo Canto, former CIA undercover agent and current Bishop Security employee, gets pulled back into his previous life and back in the radar of The Conductor, a ruthless criminal who wants Cam eliminated along with evidence he may have against The Conductor. Cam must find a way out while also helping, and saving, a young archaeologist that has caught his eye.

I absolutely love this group of characters. Nathan Bishop heads up Bishop Security and does a pretty decent job keeping them all in line. Each of them has a very unique personality and they all work great together. Twitch, the only girl in the group, keeps right up with them and their banter.
When you have a group of characters as diverse as this, I really appreciate the author devoting each novel to one of them. It lets the reader really get to know each character. I look forward to learning more about the others.
Cam has to emerge himself back into the persona of a really bad guy in this book and he finds it harder to do than before. I think it’s because of Evan Cole, the young archaeologist that he meets. He has feelings for her that he has never had for anyone before and he does not want to be mean to her. It was nice to know that she saw through it. The back and forth jabs these two take at each other is great and you can see their feeling grow.
The mystery of the caves and the treasure is quite intriguing. It’s a fun ride. Cam realizes something at the end that shocked me and I hope we learn more in the future.

WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL STORY!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I love the way Debbie Baldwin crafts a story!!! Bit by bit, clue by clue, she builds an irresistible, intriguing, riveting tapestry that is so cleverly done!! At first when the story is jumping from thread to another thread of the story you're not sure where the book is going.... Then all of a sudden everything comes together and the big picture storyline becomes clear!!!! Its great when that happens. I admire Debbie Baldwin's writing so much. It's written in a much more intelligent and interesting way than a lot of books in this genre. In this story we have wonderful characters.... Cam and Evan, the devious Gemini and, of course, the Bishop Security crew!!! The historical references were interesting and the love and friendship developing between Cam and Evan was very romantic and heartwarming. The mystery and suspense, and clever twists and turns, kept the reader on pins and needles. The descriptions of the localities, historical references, and the characters, is so vivid and well done that I felt like I was standing there watching the action all play out in front of me. I even went so far as to look up the locale of the cave, etcetera, and the history of the area because the storyline was so interesting. I highly recommend this book and the other books in the Bishop Security series... They are well thought out and the mysteries are weaved together in a very thoughtful and intricate way!!! I think that Debbie Bishop's books are definitely a huge step up from the usual type of romantic suspense type of books out there and I can't wait for her next book!!!😇

Debbie Baldwin, the author of “Buried Beneath” has written an intriguing, captivating, thrilling, and intense novel. The genres for this novel are thriller, suspense, mystery, and fiction. Enter the world of espionage, archaeological treasure, CIA, steamy romance, and danger at every turn. Try and figure out who are the “good guys” vs. the bad”. Debbie Baldwin had me mesmerized by every detail and glued to the pages of her book. The author describes her characters as complex, complicated, good, evil, manipulative, and chilling.

I would highly recommend this suspenseful thrilling action-filled book for those readers that enjoy intense thrillers. There are twists and turns. Pay attention very closely. I missed some important clues. Why don’t you read to see what is going on?

This is the third book in a series. It can be read stand-alone. I am looking forward to the next book.

Looking for a book full of adventure and action, then Buried Beneath by Debbie Baldwin is the one you should not miss. The plot hooked me from the beginning. I have not read the earlier books in Bishop Security Series, but you can read this one as a standalone.

The twists were totally unexpected. And the best thing about the book is that you will feel like you are watching a movie. I would love to read the sequel also as I am eager to know what happens next. I totally recommend the book and will give 5 stars.

Thanks to Debbie Baldwin and Book Review Crew for providing me an ARC copy of the book in exchange of a review.

For a newly published author, Debbie Baldwin has not only successfully burst onto the scene but has now set the bar high in the romance and suspense genre. I could not wait for her next book to come out and this novel did not disappoint. Just when I thought her last two books weaving in her familiar characters could not get any better, she managed to surpass my expectations. This fast-paced novel full of spine-tingling suspense, mystery and heart throbbing romance is a must read for everyone. Baldwins’ talent for incredibly rich and complex character development, impeccable plotting, and heart-pounding adventures is fast becoming unrivaled. Spoiler alert: You won’t be able to put the book down after you start the first page. This book was a thrilling ride and hopefully continues to build up the promise of future adventures with these compelling characters. This novel was a perfect storm that will sweep you off your feet.

Cam, a former Navy SEAL, and CIA undercover agent, is looking forward to finally living a quiet life when his CIA cell phone receives a mysterious call. Cam suspects the criminal mastermind he calls the Conductor is behind it. Few people, even in the world of spies, believe the Conductor even exists but Cam knows differently. Suddenly he is seized and knocked unconscious. He wakes up in a sunny bedroom in Mallorca. Only to find out he has been abducted by a beautiful supermodel! Say what?!?

But something sinister is going on. Realizing he is in danger, he slips easily into his alter-ego Miguel. When he meets beautiful archeologist Evan, he is mesmerized! But his undercover self would never be right for her.

Evan is working on an archeological project when she makes an interesting discovery in a nearby cave. She is warned away from the cave but she keeps investigating, sneaking back to the cave, only accessible by the ocean. Soon she meets Miguel, and he agrees to help her in her search. Evan soon realizes she is strangely attracted to Miguel.

This book is the third book in a series but it can be read as a stand alone novel.

My thoughts: Debbie Baldwin’s books are always beautifully written! She does an excellent job developing the characters and an intricate and meaningful storyline. I became caught up in the mystery from the very beginning and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to get to the conclusion. There is also an element of sizzling romance in this book. Read this book if you love romantic suspense!

My thanks to the author for my gifted copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is book 3 in the Bishop Security series. This time one of the newest members of the team, Cam, an ex CIA finds that his past is coming for him. A criminal mastermind wants Cam and the evidence he is holding. When Cam gets abducted he finds himself on a mysterious and dangerous island. As Cam tries to stop this mastermind he crosses paths with Evangeline, on the island doing archaeological work. Evangeline stumbles into a mystery herself. When they meet the sparks fly. This is a fast paced romantic suspense. I recommend reading book 1 & 2 but this also can be read as a stand alone. This was compelling and suspenseful. I really enjoyed it.

Third in a series that gets better with each installment!
Cam is an ex CIA operative who worked under cover and went by the name of Miguel. Now working with the Bishop Security team, life is looking good. Things take a turn though when Cam is abducted and taken to Mallorca by a woman Miguel had a tryst with who wants him back for herself. For his safety, Cam goes along with it. What he wasn't counting on was meeting Evan but when he does the real sparks fly.
This is a fun entry in the romantic suspense genre with plenty to love about it. Fast paced with some well placed plot twists, this is one entertaining read. The diverse cast of characters in the Bishop Security team are a joy to ride along with as they try to save one another from the sticky situations they find themselves in. Each book in the series is very well crafted and focuses on the different team members. Filled with humor, suspense and romance, one can't help but get lost in the world these characters inhabit. Kudos to the author for a job well done. I look forward to the next book in the series.

I’ll be honest, I don’t normally gravitate towards books about the CIA operatives, ex SEALs, and dark underworld criminals. But I read book #2 in this series and loved Tox Buchanan and the Bishop Security team; I had to find out what they were up to.

𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡 centers around the newest team member, Cam Canto, who was undercover for the CIA for two years as Miguel Ramirez. While Cam hopes to shed his false identity and settle into the team, his past comes calling.

First, he gets wind that an old contact may have made his cover and now the infamous and elusive criminal known as The Conductor is hunting him. But as he meets with his ex-handler, he is drugged and taken into the clutches of a psycho supermodel he once bedded - Gemini March.

Gemini’s cousin owns a mining business and promptly puts Cam or Miguel to work on security detail. But Cam knows something is not right. It is here within the caves and tunnels that Cam falls for a beautiful young archaeology student who has no idea the danger she's in.

I loved this story! Cam won my heart with how he struggled with which persona to be and with who. He’s sassy and macho but can be oh so sweet. And the team at Bishop Security are like one big crime-fighting family.

This does get a little violent and a whole lot of steamy, but nothing overly graphic.

I loved book 1 and book 2 and highly recommend book 1 and 2 in the Bishop Security series. Unfortunately, book 3 had "other woman" drama and it ruined the book for me.

The book was well written and I could not put it down. I had to know what happened next.

I just didn't like the way things ended.

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

In the first 2 books the heroes are utterly dedicated to their heroines and fall in love and would do anything for them.

Here in book 3 the hero was kidnapped by a supermodel who was a former one night stand. Instead of leaving, he decides to stay and investigate her brother and his shady business dealings.

He meets the heroine and rescues her from drowning after she is stung by a sting ray while snorkeling.

Heroine is hunting for ancient treasures after local children told her of seeing things in a cave. Hero helps her look for the treasure at night.

Meanwhile they are hunting for the mysterious "Conductor". Hero has a video that the Conductor wants but it just has the name of a yacht, the Maestro on it. He doesn't think the video is that important.

SPOILER WARNING: ENDING IS REVEALED

........................................................................

At the end we are told who is actually the evil mastermind the Conductor. And the CIA has recruited this person and now this person will work for the CIA. So the "bad guy" is alive and well and still able to cause trouble.

However, they did catch a Senator in bad acts so he got arrested.

I don't like loose ends with the villain especially when former SEALS and CIA officers know who this person is and just decide...not to anything right now.

The hero is constantly fending off the supermodel's attempts to have sex since he doesn't want her and only wants the heroine, Evan. It really interfered with my ability to believe in their romance.

They found the treasure (the largest yellow diamond ever found) and turned it over to the Spanish government. But since the treasure was found on private property (caves are owned by the mines) the owner of the mines gets to keep this massive yellow diamond. So not only is bad guy alive and well, the bad guys got the treasure too. I WAS SO MAD.

There are a few scenes with Finn (half scarred face) and Twitch (the hacker) and the author has confirmed they will get a book next in the Bishop Security series. Also some very funny scenes with Very (short for Verity) Twitch's friend who is now a neighbor of one of the men from Bishop security.

I look forward to more books in this series since book 1 and 2 were so amazing.

Camilo Canto has lived undercover in the life of Miguel Ramirez for so long that he almost can't remember who he really is, but leaving the CIA and working for Bishop Security means he will be able to figure out life as Cam. His plan goes array when he is kidnapped by supermodel Gemini March to be her lover, so he must once again assume the role of Miguel. During a tour of the local mine owned by Gemini's cousin Atlas, Cam stumbles on archaeologist, Evangeline Cole, who has been exploring the caves adjacent to the mine. With Evan, Cam finds himself bleeding into Miguel because he wants to be himself for her, but their adventures exploring the caves at night lead to more than either of them bargained for.

Buried Beneath is the third entry in the Bishop Security series and once again features several of the characters from previous books. The mystery in this story is intriguing and the characters are well developed. The romance between Cam and Evan blossoms very quickly, but that is explained in the plot with the emphasis on the"zing" experienced by Cam's father upon meeting Cam's mother for the first time. The chapters of the book jump from place to place but, for the most part, connect together well. Overall, Buried Beneath is an enjoyable romantic suspense filled with fun and adventure.

I loved Cam and Evan. Like any child after watching Indiana Jones, I wanted to be an archeologist for a hot minute and so found Evan’s work fascinating. And the stingray scene between the two of them still has me laughing.

I also thought that the tie-in with the other two books, and what I’m assuming the next few books, was great. It made me instantly add the first two books to my wishlist immediately after finishing this one. And the Conductor plot twist? A freaking gold star for that.

And finally, Evan and I ended up being from the same area in the book, so I loved that little shout out. Especially since her family owned a winery.

Overall, this was a great romance that had themes of undercover work, espionage, and mystery.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️BEST BOOK OF THE SERIES!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Do you ever need to switch up your genres to see what you have been missing? Buried Beneath has it all! Adventure, mystery, suspense, romance, lust, and a little archaeology thrown in. It all perfectly combines for one amazing, fast paced read. This is the third book in the Bishop Security series, it can be read as a standalone. I am already itching to buy the first two books to put together more of the background stories on this intriguing cast of characters.

Cam is an ex-Navy Seal and he recently finished up a stint working undercover for the CIA. He is intelligent, tough as nails, and of course smoldering. On the other hand, he is also romantic and extremely passionate. He fits in perfectly with the rest of the Bishop Security Team, who are like family. Even though Cam has left the CIA and his undercover persona Miguel, it does not mean his past will not come back to haunt him. He receives a phone call from one of his old CIA buddies, and dives in to investigate what is behind this phone call. Cam is abducted and whisked away to the island of Mallorca, by a one-night fling that is obsessed with him. He is taken in by the family and asked to work security in their mines. It feels like there is more to the story and the reason she would go through all the trouble of abducting him. There is a shadowy figure that Cam was observing while in the CIA, The Conductor. Could he be behind this? Evan is a determined, smart, beautiful archaeologist who is working on the island. Cam saves her when she is stung by a stingray and their worlds keep colliding. Their chance meetings turn into something more, that they both crave!

You better hold on, Buried Beneath is a high-speed race that will leave you short of breath and your mind racing. Not only from the suspense and mystery, but from the passion and romance that oozes through this book! Thank you to Debbie Baldwin and Palmetto Publishing for the delicious read.

Buried Beneath by Debbie Baldwin
.
This is the third book in the Bishop Security series. It can be read as a standalone but I have been reading them in order and I feel they are so much more that way!
.
This book is Cam’s story. He has been a deep cover operative for years and is happy to join Bishop Security and leave his alter ego of Miguel Ramirez behind. But that takes a sharp turn when people start looking for Miguel Ramirez. People who could be connected to the elusive criminal mastermind known as The Conductor.
.
What I liked:
-I enjoyed the duality within himself that Cam struggled with this whole book. I’ve never given much thought to what life would be like as an undercover operative and so this book was fascinating to me in that aspect.
-Evan had a duality to her as well, and I really enjoyed her character! She was one determined little spitfire.
-Even though this story was about Cam and Evan, I loved every moment of insight into the other members of the team!! Nathan and Emily, Tox and Calliope, Twitch and Finn (who have GOT to be featured in the next book, the set up is ALL THERE) and Steady with his telescope. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
.
This was a great book in the series and I am now waiting anxiously for the next book. Any idea on a timeframe for when I can start looking for book four, Debbie???!!
Thank you to @bookreviewcrew and Debbie Baldwin for this copy of the book! I enjoyed every minute of it!

Cam has been in the deep undercover so long, his work at Bishop Security is a breath of fresh air. But when someone from the past comes looking for him, “Miguel”, things are not what they seem. Miguel is born again and no one knows where he has disappeared to. Nathan and the team pull together to find their missing teammate.

Overall reading this book was entertaining as readers embark on a a treasure hunt of sorts. The story is filled with fun and tons of danger. You will find many twists and turns throughout the story that will keep you entertained and questioning every move.

The characters in this book, like those before it, are strong ex-military, alpha males. They are intriguing and domineering. Good looking men fighting their own demons, saving the world, one criminal at a time.

Debbie Baldwin is a mastermind writer, who weaves a story with so much intrigue and mystery, it is like a well oiled machine with sexy men controlling ever move. Her backstory and world building is spot on and she sets up her new books throughout the current read, with little hidden tidbits here and ther. This enables readers to become attracted and engage in the success of the characters a bad future characters journeys.

I would highly recommend this series. Each could be read as a standalone, but are much better when read together. Can’t wait to read Finn’s story.❤️❤️❤️

Can I just say that the Bishop Security team is such a fantastic, dysfunctional family?! I seriously love this crew!

Cam was an undercover op for the CIA before joining the Bishop Security team. Just when he got comfortable being out, his past popped back up and forced him back in. While trying to figure out where he was and why he was there, he met a cute archeologist who turned his world on its head. The team has to pull out all the stops to find Cam and bring him back home before his cover gets blown. Such a great read! Can't wait to see who the next book is about!

This book filled with action, a treasurer hunt, good guys, bad guys, and a little spice in the romance department was too good to put down.

The Bishop Security team is at it again as they help a team member, Cam, try to take down the person only known as The Conductor who controls ALL illegal shipping IN THE WORLD.
There is also an added bonus of a treasure found by a beautiful archeologist named Evan.

The book includes locales from South Carolina, to Washington, D.C., with the main action happening on the island of Mallorca.

The dialogue between the Bishop Security team is one of my favorite parts of the book as well as the plot itself which is fast paced but never confusing.

I also liked that the book made me think. Cam, our main character in this book, lived undercover as Miguel prior to joining Bishop Security and the book delves a bit into the difficulties of maintaining that role without it absorbing who Cam really was.

If you haven’t read one of the other books in the series, you can easily start with this book and not feel left out which I totally appreciate.

This is Book #3 of 3 of the Bishop Security Series but each book can be read as a stand alone. After starting with book #2, Illicit Intent, I was excited to read Buried Beneath! There is some crossover from book #2 but book #3 has an entirely different series of events, players and locations. I loved the setting of this one, too! The chapters alternate between South Carolina & Mallorca-The imagery is so vivid and the characters are detailed so well! As in the previous book, this one is destined for a tv series!

Mystery, adventure, intrigue, humor, romance...this book has it all and the best part is that it's a series, but each book can be read as a standalone novel. The writing is smooth, draws you right into the action, and holds you captive till the very last page. I can't wait to read the first two books and there's another story on the way. You don't want to miss this exciting series!

I received a gifted copy in exchange for an honest review.

I received an Arc for my honest review of this book. It’s slightly different from the books I usually read. I am a fantasy/ paranormal romance reader usually. Although I have been reading more contemporary romance lately. I was asked to review and liked what the blurb told me about the book.

I honestly loved this book. I really enjoyed the multiple view points. I loved the main female protagonist Evan and her spunky attitude. I totally loved reading Cams parts and seeing the hardship he endured being undercover. I was not expecting the ending at all and was totally shocked by the turn events.

This is a great read. It keep me interested wanting to know what came next. I hadn’t read any of the other books but now find myself wanting to explore the rest of the Bishop security team. If you like books that have twist and turns. A Military type vibe, found family, and finding love in the most unexpected places then this book is definitely up your alley.

I really enjoyed the found family aspect a lot while touching on the fact that they former careers have lasting negative impact on their currently lives. Which they each understand and look out for each other and never leave a man or women behind.

I definitely recommend checking this book out you won’t regret it. 😊

4.7 🌟

I honestly don’t think I can surpass my review for the previous books in this series so I won’t even try but I’ll add more thoughts.

What I love the most is the fact that people arr adults in their relationships, meaning than rather than jumping to conclusions or holding stupid grudges, they understand and level with you like actual growm adults. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good book where they fuck up and reconcile, but these stories by Debbie don’t need all THAT particular drama to be captivating amd thrilling and oh so beautiful.

Cam’s struggles with his persona (both real and undercover) felt like something real operators could relate to. These characters make for a great story without having to exaggerate their experiences or over explain them, they simply live it and take us seamlessly through the journey.

Also, this shit has some bery funny stuff. From Tox’s alpha mode when Steady say’s to kiss Cal under the mistletoe, to the actual plot of the story (which I will leave out so this remains spoiler free) Another funny moment is definitely Very’s first interaction with Steady. Im definitely loving these characters, books, stories and everything in between amd can’t wait to get more. ESPECIALLY REM AND SOFRIA’s BOOK!!
