It took me 3 days to read the first 4chapters and by that I mean 5 biographies:
1) some woman that maybe got killed;
2) some woman that maybe is going to investigate a murder;
3) some woman that works as a secretary/accountant for the woman no. 2;
4) some man that appears to be in a relationship with woman no. 1;
5) some woman that is the mother of woman no. 1.
Most of these biographies start with a character waking up in the morning and going to work. Before their first coffee of the day, they conven ...more

This story keeps you guessing to the end. When a group of church goers are found murdered one by one with a distinct mark that the killer leaves. But is there more than one killer or is the killer changing his or her method of killing. When certain things point to voodoo Tammy Pierre is called in for her knowledge of The Caribbean. Things get complicated when it's discovered there is a link to Trinidad and a convent that was also an orphanage. This is a great story that I highly recommend. I sta

My first Andrew Segal book and I was not disappointed. I loved it. It was refreshing to read about areas of London, I have known for years. Tamsin Pierre has been asked to consult and give assistance to the Met police hunting a serial killer in North West London. Tamsin has problems of her own in her private investigation business as someone is trying to put her out of business. The Met officers she has been asked to help, don't want her help and are showing their true colours and there's a kill

I've read several of Andrew Segal's books now and I just love the way he writes a story, and this one did not disappoint.
The characters all have depth and presence. I found them each to be very interesting as they all have some sort of problem of their own and is very different from each other.
I flew through this story in one night and it is truly a amazing book. The characters I love all the fun twists and turns that the pace never lets down. I was just amazed at how the story came together ...more

The Black Candle Killings is the second book in the Tammy Pierre Series and is an intriguing read.
This is the first book I have read by this author and cannot wait to read more in this series. The character of Tammy Pierre is well depicted, intelligent, and strong. The story is well written and has murder, voodoo, danger, twists and turns, and suspense. An excellent read.
I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.
