M. Rose Flores writes an exciting and fast-paced LGBTQ+ horror book. I actually cried during the book because Flores writes characters that you root and care for. Mind you let’s remember I did not read the other books. I know! Freaking awesome.
Now you are probably thinking, “Phoebe has been on a zombie kick lately….” Very true, BUT I did not know this was a zombie book because once again I did not read the synopsis or blurb (laugh). Flores knocked me on my ass with a fantastic horror book.

This is the third (and last) book in the abnormal/variant series and one I have been waiting for with high expectations. I was not disappointed since this book finishes off the story about Cate, Mel, Marco and their friends with a satisfying, action-packed plot while also giving you food for thought. I am not going to go into the story much, suffice it to say that if you have read and enjoyed the previous books you will not be disappointed with the last one.

I couldn't put this book down! It's action packed with twist and turns that you never saw coming. The way the characters adapt and react to the "zombies" are scarily accurate to the covid world we live in today, which definitely makes you think.

I do love a good zombie apocalypse novel while sitting at home during the second lockdown ugh. This book certainly delivered! This is the last of a three book series and it was action packed from the first page. Written is such a hopeful yet gory and savage way that it wrapped up the series beautifully. Questioning family and humanity ...what it all means now... Highly recommend this trilogy.

M. Rose Flores has enjoyed writing since she learned how to string letters together. She grew up in the vast green Pacific Northwest of the United States, which with its dense forests, four seasons, and proximity to the ocean made a perfect setting for The End. When she isn’t writing on her computer or in a notebook (though scraps of paper and the palm of her hand will do in a pinch), she works as
