I think I maybe swooning. It’s just that feeling of sweet relief and happiness like all is right in the world. That pretty much sums up how I’m feeling after finishing Crazy Hearts. Sooo good!! I continue to be so impressed with the stories Amber Kelly writes.
Poplar Falls is my favorite place to escape from the reality we have been living for the last year. The gang from this small town is like part of my own family after five novels and one novella. I sure can identify with Charlotte, the main female character from Crazy Hearts...the time between two books always passes so slowly and the one spent in Poplar Falls seems to fly by. And yes, I flew through this book too. Again. In one day.

Crazy Hearts is one of the books that I didn't know I need until I finished reading it. It was a really cute and sweet read. I'll have to say this was probably my favorite from the series. A short read that I need more of Payne and Charlotte!

This book completely captured my heart. I am utterly smitten with Charlotte and Payne's story.
These two have had their long distance, friends with benefits fling going for years. Book by book we'd see little glimpses of how they were with one another. However, it was while reading the Poplar Falls novella, Merry Hearts, where we really saw their connection. It was then when I realized just how desperately I needed this book.

Oh, I liked this story! It's not about a couple meeting and falling in love – although we do get a glimpse of their meeting – but rather a couple slowly realizing their feelings. The story of Payne and Charlotte also deals with some tougher topics, which are handled in a way that contributes to the story.

This book was absolutely wonderful in every single way. It stars Payne and Charlotte who were both introduced in the very first book as Charlotte is Sophia's bestie and business partner from NYC. Payne was also introduced as a friend of of Sophia and her boyfriend to be in that first book and someone Sophia knew when she was very young.

Introduced in previous Poplar Falls books, Charlotte is Sophie’s best friend from NYC and also co-owns their jewelry business, which is booming. Payne is Dallas’ brother and owns a ranch in Poplar Falls. Every time Charlotte visits PF, she hooks up with Payne, but they’ve always kept things casual. Crazy Hearts is the first book in this series I have read. I will admit, there were times I was lost when side characters were introduced. Also, I felt like I dropped into the middle of their story. My heart is full. It’s no secret I love this series and Crazy Hearts was the cherry on top. With characters that feel so real to me, I loved seeing the gang together again sharing laughs and heartfelt moments. Personally, Crazy Hearts did just that. Elevating a novel that commenced as an enjoyable read, and blossomed into an eye opening experience. It was good story but I hadn't read the rest of the books in this series so I was a little thrown that they had already been together for 3 years at the start of the book.
There were way too many people in this book for my tastes. I know it's a series but it's just too many names to try to keep track of when you have that many people in nearly every scene. Took me a little out of it trying to remember who everyone was.
There was very little angst until the end of the book when a major re ...more

Charlotte is smart, driven, and beautiful inside and out. She is a little bit crazy, but that is what makes Charlotte such a wonderful character. Payne is the calm to Charlotte's storm. These two together are nothing short of phenomenal. Their chemistry is white-hot. The love they have for each other is undeniable.

I have been so looking forward to Charlotte getting her own story and I was blown away by what Kelly gives us in her tale. My heart ached for both her and Payne. The raw emotions were just so intense that you could not help but feel connected to her in some way. What I adore is the fact that Payne and Charlotte just fit. Regardless if she is the city girl and he is the country boy, they just got each other. Their passion is off the charts, their banter is hilarious and witty.
