This is a fun graphic novel focused on Uncle Murray and the bad kitty who win a vacation and encounter many obstacles to fun along the way, including evil chickens trying to subvert human preference for cats over chickens as domestic pets.

There's a happy ending and Uncle Murray gets to watch his tv program and enjoy his favorite sandwich in his favorite chair with all his pets.

I can’t believe how much I enjoyed this book. So easy to read, super silly, the perfect amount of ridiculous, and - as I lovvvvve - an ending that made me smile super big. (Plus... a song at the end!)

So very excited that these books have been released in color and can’t wait for our upcoming virtual author visit with the author of Bad Kitty, Nick Bruel!

I've been reading Bad Kitty books since I learned how to read in primary school! I've always been a cat lover and I've always loved these books. I'm 22 now, and I still love Bad Kitty books all the same. It may be a bit immature, but sometimes you just want to read something fun and silly. Bad Kitty and Uncle Murray are loveable, hilarious, and well written.

This book had me cracking up almost the whole time, though that's a regular occurrence with this series. The jail part was by far the most hilarious and my favorite part of the book.

Seriously, young or old, Bad Kitty is a fun experience. Don't let age stop you from getting some joy out of Uncle Murray and Bad Kitty's wacky adventures.

Thank you Nick Bruel for continuing to make this hilarious series, and creating it in the first place. Bad Kitty will always have a special place in my heart and in my funny bone!

Uncle Murray has won a free vacation from the radio station! To Love Love Angel Kitty World? He's never heard of it, but Kitty sure has. And she's desperate to go with him. But will this vacation be what dreams are made of, or one giant nightmare cooked up by some devious chickens?

Well, if you were feeling bad about not being able to go to amusement parks because of covid this will cure that for a while. Talk about an epically bad vacation. I have a strong suspicion that parts of this were therapy for Bruel to help him recover from going on a certain ride involving dolls and a never-ending song. You feel for Uncle Murray and Kitty, but it is also HILARIOUS. (The 2nd page of Kitty's collection of Love Love Angel Kitty merchandise made me laugh SO much!) It's nice to see Uncle Murray and Kitty finally being nice to each other. They've come a long way. I've loved all the Bad Kitty books so far in black and white, but there is something nice about color (at least until you get to the scenes after Uncle Murray gets off the nauseating rides). Highly recommended to those needing a laugh.

The Bad Kitty series has been a possible addition to my TBR list. With the release of the full-cover editions, it was a deal closed. It is a road trip comedy with Bad Kitty and Uncle Murray (who is a softie although he unfortunately looks like a television thug) to LOVE LOVE ANGEL KITTY WORLD (a Disney-esque amusement park populated with Hello Kitty-like kitties). They meet obstacles along the way but Uncle Murray adapts, pays, and compromises so Bad Kitty can have the vacation of her dreams. But how many times can a body be expected to ride the LOVE LOVE ANGEL KITTY WORLD ride? (According to Uncle Murray's stomach, once is too much!)

A warm tale of two unlikely buddies going on a trip but what happens to Uncle Murray when they get home will make you smile.

Bruel continues his run of outstanding humorous books for children with his 14th book in the Bad Kitty series.

Uncle Murray must really treasure his four-footed pet, as he puts up alot in order to keep BK happy. This time, it i taking BK along with him on a vacation to the Love Love Angel Kitty World amusement park. The slap-stick humor and twisting of conventions (ex. the "Seven Stages of Panic" - not once, but 3 1/2 times -, the despicable Master Plan, and BK's need to pee) will keep readers in stitches.

I am loving the full-color illustrations - they add a liveliness and immediacy that will reach out to reluctant readers and will draw them right in.

Highly Recommended for beginning readers. PreS-grade 3.

My 8 year old son is about the target audience for this, my first exposure to the Bad Kitty series, and it certainly hit its mark there, but I was surprised to find myself laughing out loud a few times, too, as we read it together. And now I have the LOVE LOVE ANGEL KITTY song in my head and I can't get it out and my brain cells are frying. My only puzzlement is that the kitty itself seems quite a good one, as kitties go (I'm generally not a fan, being allergic)....the chickens were the bad guys here. We enjoyed the full color edition. A worthy addition to a graphic novel humor collection in an elementary library.

This is a fun (and full color!) Bad Kitty adventure to add to your collection. Uncle Murray has a chance to win the vacation of a lifetime and Bad Kitty wants to join in the fun. What happens next are a series of comedic episodes that early middle grade readers will adore. As soon as I put this book in my classroom library, it disappeared into the hands of a happy reader.

**Thanks so much to the publisher for sending me a copy of the book!

***My opinion of this book is an honest one and was not in any way impacted due to how I received this book.

Bad Kitty is SO EXCITED to go to Love Love Angel Kitty World with Uncle Murray! But there is something sinister happening at this theme park--starting with no cats being allowed inside.

Lots of humor in another of Bad Kitty's adventures. The full color illustrations will really help boost interest in this series, particularly since this book feels much more like a graphic novel than some of the previous titles.

Uncle Murray wins a free vacation that turns into a real nightmare when he agrees to bring Bad Kitty along. On top of that, the vacation hotel and theme park are run by sinister chickens intent on replacing cats as human's favorite pets. This was a pretty stressful read but it has an unexpectedly sweet ending. Kids are going to go crazy for the first FULL-COLOR Bad Kitty! Why is full color just so much nicer?

Bad Kitty (and, of course, Uncle Murray!) is fun as always, though this is a kind of weak addition to the series. A lot of the jokes are repeated, even driven into the ground. It sometimes feels like it's a quasi-diatribe against Disney Land and other amusement parks, except that it's hard to blame the greedy corporation here when Uncle Murray is consistently a nitwit. Fun, but read the others first.

Read this to be able to talk to an important 7 year old in my life and thought it was cute and silly. Reminded me of some of the Boss Baby themes, but was endearing and had some pretty funny jokes mixed in. I especially loved page 156. I was confused as to why the kitty was dressed up as a boy when she is a girl, but thats just part of the silliness I guess. All in all, a good, easy to read childrens book that I would be happy to read as a bedtime story for any of the kiddos in my life.

Uncle Murray is totally me whilst on vacation. I think I want to go, I get excited and plan a trip, I get there and regret all of the choices that led to me leaving my house in the first place.

So I might not travel with a crazy cat and the theme park I would adventure to is mouse-themed and not cat-themed, but there are A LOT of similarities! Especially the part about being happy once it is finally over...

Another awesome bad kitty book

My daughter really enjoyed this book, particularly near the end (and Uncle Murray's seven stages of panicking). She is a big bad kitty fan and she really liked that the Kindle version was in color. I enjoyed the "It's a Small World" references having once got stuck on the ride.

Absolutely hilarious! This captivated my 7 year old and I even found him reading it aloud by himself in the early morning. The writing is clever and the illustrations on point. The color edition brings it to another level. Definitely recommend. There is even educational info on cats. Great book!

Uncle Murray wins a radio contest, and his prize is an all expenses paid trip to Love Love Angel Kitty World. Kitty's favorite place, and where she's always wanted to go. But something is not quite right with Love Love Angel Kitty World, which Uncle Murray and Kitty will soon discover. Laugh along as Uncle Murray and Bad Kitty spend their vacation time together.

Uncle Murray has won a contest and earned a trip to Love Love Angel Kitty World. And who loves Love Love Angel Kitty? Kitty does. Off Uncle Murray and Kitty go on a rather stressful vacation that may not be best suited for cats.
My 11 year old son laughed out loud many times during this book. He still loves Kitty.
Good for ages 8 and up

This book was perhaps not suited to be a read aloud…and I was the one reading aloud. However, it was really enjoyable for my four and nine year old. I’d do it again. The whole Bad Kitty collection of books has always seemed to appeal to my kids. The picture books are just a lot easier to read aloud than the selections that have chapters.

I feel kind of embarrassed that I'm giving a book like this 5 stars, but this tickled my funny bone in ways that not many other kids' books do. I really enjoyed this one, and laughed a lot. Also David really loved it and wanted to keep reading every time we had to stop.

My 9 year old shrieked with laughter reading this book and then insisted I read it too. That earns 5 stars from me right there. I thought was funny and pretty sophisticated for a book for younger kids. And who doesn’t love an evil chicken?

A read-aloud with my kids. They are both teenagers now, but our family has loved this series for so many years, that we still had to enjoy this newest book together. We all loved it. So funny.
