Growing up in New York City, I used to walk the hot pavements in the melting heat of the long summers, and dream. Uptown to downtown, eastside to the westside, and underground to catch a subway racing out into the boroughs.
During my wanderings, my magic pencil spun out fantasies full of romance, with first meetings, heartbreaks, and reunions. Sometimes my boy crush (unrequited, of course) starred as the hero.
I grew up, and after a stint in art school, became a lawyer ‘cuz a woman’s got to make a living. I came from parents who fled to France as refugees, and as an attorney, I dedicated my work to helping survivors of trauma and persecution.
I believe in them. In their grit, in their determination to hold on, to pull through and, somehow, someway, to keep themselves intact, body and soul.
Perhaps that is why I am drawn to writing stories of men and women who live through heart-rending pain, desperate yearnings and, ultimately, reach a place of redemption.
For a long time, I fought the urge to veer off the expected, safe path until I couldn’t go on unless I took a chance and made a change. I began to write, stopped, and began again. Finally, I gave in and here I am.

Her Hidden Valentine by Monique Moreau is a short and fast paced read. If you’ve read previous books by Monique Moreau, you would have met Jazz and Hoodie before. Jazz is trying to survive, working two jobs to make ends meet and trying to help her father with his medical bills. She’ll do anything to get the help she needs, even if that means stealing from the MC that has taken her in.
Hoodie on the other hand is scarred, a mountain of a man and has had unrequited feeling for Jazz for years. When the opportunity arises for him to help her, he’s going to do anything he can to help, even if that means taking over her life in his own dominant, beastly ways.
This is a short and sexy read, just in time for Valentine’s day. Hoodie and Jazz were great characters who just got each other. Even though Hoodie had scars, Jazz didn’t see them. I also loved that Jazz crushed on Hoodie at the same time she did Whistle and that she had an air of vulnerability about her that Hoodie got. He wanted to make her his Queen and he certainly did that!
Another great read from Ms. Moreau, with an imperfect couple who are perfect for each other!

It is cute
It's basically love scenes and they are really vanilla. This is the conclusion of Jazz's story but there aren't any scenes with her dad or other members of the club. It is bare bones Hoodie and her. Just reading this her reaction is melodramatic. He's right to be mad at himself for not seeing that she was pushed past her breaking point, especially when he's supposed to be watching her through all the other books. I loved that he showed her that he loved her. And her telling him not to kneel on concrete was such a real moment. Five grand is not a lot of money, especially when it comes to medical debt. My husband's insulin is fifteen hundred for one and two hundred for the other without insurance or coupons, and that's not counting his blood pressure and cholesterol meds. Dude, I get it. I racked up a ten grand bill myself for a single hospital visit. So, five grand is not a big number but, I get it being impossible when you have to raise it. Five grand might as well be five hundred thousand sometimes it's so out of reach. I'm intrigued to read more by this author.

Hoodie is my new book boyfriend….swoon…so hot.
This was such a great short read. Hoodie and Jazz have so much h chemistry together. Neither of them think they deserve the other.
Hoodie is a hot bad boy biker who is quiet and reserved. He has hidden demons he is dealing with. He has had his eye on Jazz for a while and he finally decides to take what is his.
Jazz is hard working struggling working two jobs to take care of her sick father. She is hiding her own secrets. When the truth comes out what will happen?
I love how dominant and possessive Hoodie is. Jazz is an independent firecracker. Hoodie has a hard time convincing her how he feels.

Hoodie has hung around in the darkness forever. His early start to life leaves a lot to be desired and he doesn't see his own worth. He watches Jazz and waits patiently for his turn. Jazz was hung up on Whistle. But now that Whistle and Tasa have started their own journey. Hoodie's decided it's time to step out of the shadows and go for what he wants, and what he wants is Jazz. This really is a beautiful story. For me, it's about forgiveness and acceptance and love that's proven over and over even without the words.

Wow! This was short but very sweet. I love the strong silent type. They always have so much to say but can’t get the words out. And making him a ginger was perfect. There is a lot of hot dominant loving. This book came out on Valentines Day but is placed after the sixth book (Whistler’s War due out on March 25th). But it doesn’t really spoil anything since you already know there is a HEA. I highly recommend it.

Sexy ginger guy? Check!
I liked the characters and the plot. Some of it moved fast, but it is more of a short story anyway. It did feel like you were plunked into the middle of the story, so maybe its not the best standalone, but you could squeak by without having read the other books, which I haven't. Some of the sexy dialogue was over the top, but otherwise it was a good read.

So sweet
Hoodie and Jazz .
What a wonderful short story this was . I loved Hoodie.
He's been through hell and back and had the scars to prove it . Jazz was going through her own kind of hell . Kind hearted, loyal , loving but to damn proud to ask for help when she needed it the most. She never saw Hoodie coming and he didn't think he deserved her but together they finally found what they had both been dreaming of all along love.

You can definitely skip this one as it doesn’t really add much to the series. We get the motivations behind Jazz’s actions in the prior book and her and Hoodie entering their relationship. I think this would have worked a bit better if it was a complete book instead of just a novella. Everything happened too quickly and we don’t really get any character depth or development with these two. There was also a lot of grammar issues in this one as well.

The good point: It was short.
What bothered me: There was not much to the plot. Getting caught stealing top-shelf liquor from a MC club (or anywhere!) and having no consequences isn't believable. I think the plot could have been developed more, esp with the sick dad, the consequences of parents' who abused their child (now an adult), etc.
I felt as if I were reading an outline of a story with sex scenes inserted.
Others may love the story. I just didn't.

That was a hot little number! I would have liked a little more background and maybe a scene where everyone is introduced to the heroine's father and not just leave him out in the cold. He is the root cause of all of the heroine's problems, after all. Good late night read.

Someone’s stealing from the Demon Squad MC and the only person that knows who it is has to protect her because he can’t let her face the Squad to deal with it on her own.
Hoodie is a quiet man that keeps to himself and doesn’t say much. He’s been watching Jazz for a while now and he finally has a chance to show her that he will take care of her and protect her while giving her the life she deserves. He can't defy his president; he has to tell him what he's found out and find a way to protect the woman he loves.
Jazz needs to find a way to help her father and get him the medicine he needs. She works two jobs and still doesn’t have the funds to provide for him like she needs to. She makes a decision that could get her killed, but she has no choice. To deceive the Demon Squad MC is dangerous and could get her killed but little does she know that there is someone that is willing to step up and help her and protect her.
Jazz and Hoodie have been around each other for a few years, but Jazz had no idea that Hoodie was interested in her. She has a hard time believing that Hoodie is protecting her because he wants to, she thinks it’s out of pity and kindness. I enjoyed their story. The Demon Squad MC is a dangerous group of men that are not kind if you betray them, but when Hoodie steps up and tells his President of the betrayal by Jazz, he asks for more help from the President in keeping the betrayal quiet. The Squad might be dangerous, but they are also fair men. I enjoy the characters and the story lines of these books. I give this book a 4-star review and look forward to more of the Squad.

Jazz was working two jobs from the morning till night, she worked at the Squad Bar and she managed a cafe in town. The bills for her father's health issue were pilling up and in a moment of despair, she started stealing from the bar. She felt so guilty but it was her only option in order to provide for her dad. Hoodie had set his eyes on Jazz since the first moment he saw her but she was into Whistle. Now that she had moved on from him it was his time to make his move. When he figured out that she was into him as well he felt so happy that even her betrayal to the club seemed like a minor issue to him. He was ready to make her his old lady and create a family together.
The only problem was that Jazz didn't believe his words so the only thing he had left to do was to show her how he truly felt and hope for the best.
It's a short and sexy Valentine's story. From the beginning till the end there is sexual tension and hot erotic scenes. The plot is simple and sweet at times. The whole story is focused on their relationship and the surprises on Valentine's Day. The characters are great and so different from each other. I adored this Biker Valentines Day novella. It’s full of live, romance and hot sexy times. Two people with secrets come together for a hot one night stand, at least that’s the way Jazz is taking their evening. As much as she’d love for it to be more, if her secrets were to get out, Hookie and the club would hate her. As for Hoodie, he wants it all with Jazz. But can she live with his secrets that scar his life?
What happens when these two learn each other’s secrets? Will their love affair be over before it even gets off the ground?

This is way quick and fun read just in time for Valentine’s Day! Jazz is working two jobs to try and pay for her father‘s medical bills. She works at the bar owned by the club and a little café in town. Hoodie has his sights set on Jazz Family first time she stepped into the bar but the broody, scarred biker doesn’t think he has a chance. There is some serious sexual tension between Hoodie and Jazz. What will Hoodie and the club do to her when they find out she has been stealing them? When the opportunity presents itself for him to help her he jumps at the chance but will Jazz let Hoodie take over her life?

Monique never fails to please and she doesn't fail this time. Her Hidden Valentin is the story of Jazz and Hoodie. Jazz is a hard worker and juggles two jobs trying to keep up with all her bills but she is hiding a secret. Hoodie has a secret he's been smitten with Jazz for ages but didn't like to make a move due to Jazz having a thing for Whistle. I received an arc to do an honest review for NNBB. If you're looking for a sweet-hot romance that's a quick read you will love this book. Although this is part of the series it can still be read as a stand-alone. It concentrates on the blossoming romance between Jazz and Hoodie which is fast-paced and hot you won't be disappointed.

This is Hoodie and Jazz’s story. Hoodie is a broody biker who has been attracted to Jazz since she started working at the Squid Bar, and Jazz is hard working with 2 jobs on the go as she works at the café in town as well as the bar, and when her dad’s medical bills just keep pilling up, she has no choice but to start stealing from the bar. This is a quick read with is a perfect little gem to enjoy on Valentine’s day. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

A gritty story with a lot of heat and secrets. I enjoyed the family loyalty of Jazz and her hard work to try and take care of her father. Hoodie had a lot of patience, and his heart belonged to Jazz. The chemistry of these two was off the charts, leading to some steamy scenes. By the end of the story, I had tears and smiles. I recommend this story.

I loved this book so much that it almost physically hurts me that it was only a quick read. I firmly believe that Hoodie, Jazz and their romance had all the potential to be an epic full length book. As is, it is a quick read with a meaty plot and some mighty feels. Steamy, sweet, dramatic, emotional and so moving, this was pure gold. I'm electing to post a candid review.

As this is a novella it is a short read so don’t want to say too much about it and spoil it but I did enjoy it.
Hoodie and jazz are good characters and make a hot couple they both just needed to find there voice, her to ask for help and him to say how he feels instead of hiding in the shadows

As this is a novella it is a short read so don’t want to say too much about it and spoil it but I did enjoy it.

This was a fun and short read. Jazz is strong and hard working girl and works at The Demon Squad’s bar as well as another job to pay her father’s medical bills. Hoodie is a biker and has admired Jazz since she started working at The Demon Squad bar. The chemistry between Jazz and Hoodie is sizzling hot. An incredible story from start to finish and one I definitely recommend.
