This book caught my eye because I am a middle aged woman who keeps a diary; therefore, I am immensely curious to read the diary of another woman my age. The fact that the author is English made it that much more interesting. I have been reading books by British authors since I could first read, so I sometimes feel as if I've been across the pond. Alas, I have not, but I adored this glimpse into the life of an Englishwoman.
