Ryan
She is the boss’s daughter and thinks that she’s above everyone.

Because of her, the woman who offered me comfort left.

Yet, she expects me to be thankful for what she did. Ah, that spoiled brat.

She should know not to mess with somebody like me –

somebody who could tame her into nothing but a pet.

But what if she was the true love I was meant to have?

Ryan Dawson’s lover got fired because of his boss’s daughter, Sally Gonzalo. Now, he’s trying to make her pay by forcing her to be his new lover. He would use the young woman’s secret to tame her into becoming his pet. But what would happen if he discovered that he wronged the very person who wished to protect and truly loves him?

Taming Sally is the first book of Bad Blue Curvy Romances, a series of stand-alone HEA romances between the blue-collar workers and the beautiful feisty but curvy women of Hood River.

DISCLAIMER: Though this story is sweet and romantic, it contains a few scenes of slightly forced sex. However, these scenes add spice to the romance. It also contains steamy sex scenes that could leave you wanting for more. The book is intended for mature audiences.

Fun, quick read that has steam and conflict. Sally and Ryan have both pined after each other from afar for the the last four years, neither acting on their feeling, until one day things change in an explosive way. It’s fun to see these two as a couple after all the insecurities and misunderstandings are resolved.

There are dubcon themes, OW drama, and a huge noncon incident that may be too much for some.

Sorry can't say anything

Good about this..... Has editing and formatting issues.... Seems to have very little work to write this...a lot of ads and previews in the back.....not even worth KU .... Stay away till author puts more work into this barely 5 chapter

Problematic book because of two major reasons:

First of all, when I was reading this via KU, I kept running into missing paragraphs, even an entire page at a critical spot. I'm not sure what's going on, but considering how many books in this series, you'd think she'd take the time to go back and correct these serious errors. A missing word here or there is one thing, but an entire page? Also, the use of words were... I think the better term was "limited". It's like her vocabulary wasn't enough to rinse away the feel that she wasn't as professional as she would like to be. (So sad to see this...)

Also, despite an excellent set-up for a good story, all of a sudden, the story comes to a crashing end as two critical points of action come and go in a matter of a few pages, and then BOOM!!! The story is over!

Are you kidding? I had to suspend my disbelief already to accept that the daughter of a construction contractor would have sex with an ex-con, especially after she was date-raped two months prior to the "you're my slut!" date? She still hadn't worked the date rape out of her system, one Sally could not report to the police because the guy was the son of an influential townie. Then Ryan's old girlfriend invades the scene, and Sally stays with Ryan even though the ex tattled her newly acquired info to Sally's father who then proceeded to interrogate him to the nth degree. BOOM! The story is over!! I think not.

This story had a lot of possibilities, but this writer wrote herself into a corner which then resulted her into closing this story as quickly as she could. This might not been a conscientious action on her part (not like she planned it), but it still sucks. I doubt that I'll even touch the rest of the series at this rate. Good thing I had KU to depend on.

I was so disappointed reading this book!!! I started and finished it in less than an hour and when that happened, I thought that it was perhaps a starter to another book in the series. I was sorely disappointed when I realized that it was, in fact, just a short story. Adding to my disappointment was that the introduction of the book lead me to believe that there was going to be more to the book. I won't go into the crux of the book but suffice it to say, you could read the introduction and no have to read the book because the introduction is a synopsis of the book.

While I do appreciate the disclaimer of 'slightly forced sex', what Ryan does to Sally is indeed rape... it's not slightly forced sex... it's rape. Any book that has the line 'Stop fighting. You want this.' is rape... I was so upset after reading this... so disappointed and honestly, will never read another one of Ms. Tramell's books again.

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This story was short only 70 something pages but it proved to real good with real life characters. Sally was the daughter of Raul Gonzalo owner of a construction company by the name of Gonzalo Construction Company. The company only hired ex-convicts. Sally Gonzalo the boss's daughter was a curvy woman and she has liked Ryan since she was 16 because he was always looking out for. Ryan Dawson had carried on a relationship with Lorena Rivera the company secretary for about year, he even quit going to college where he had been pursuing a degree in Engineering. After Lorena left Sally was sort of bullied into having a relationship with Ryan Dawson, but not really, he just wanted to see what she would do. The story is fast paced and it was interesting. I like Catherine Tramell books and I thought this was a good short read.

The best thing I can say about this book... is that it was okay. It had amazing potential that it failed to live up to. The blurb for this book in no way lived up to what the book actually was.

The wording in this book was very limited and almost as if the author didn't know what word she was looking for to describe the scene that was going on. This story could have used a good editor or even a beta reader.. something to catch the mistakes in this book before it was published. Lots of missing words in sentences.. and it appeared a time or two as if whole pages? paragraphs? Were missing from the story.

The other problem I had with the story was that it wasn't believable. It was rushed and left me feeling unsatisfied with the story. Reading the blurb of the story I was excited to read it and was very disappointed to find that it really had nothing to do with the blurb.

Disgusting. I just can’t.

I had a lengthy review ready to post, but decided to keep it short.

What in the hell did I just read? My face was scrunched in disgust the entire time. Writing was sloppy and repetitive. Plot was meh, content was just gross. Heads up, serious triggers of sexual abuse.

This book was just beyond disgusting. My stomach turned while reading.. WTF. I’m all for dark alpha males and dominance, but it was so off putting to read. He was being forceful, non consensual.. bordering on r*pe. That’s not alpha, that’s being a f***ing pig. Ryan is a bipolar hypocritical douchebag. Sally is just an insecure idiot. Just so, so stupid. Both of them.

I realize this book is free on kindle right now, but trust me when I say your time can be spent better doing almost anything else.

Sally is referred to as "plus size," "on the chubby side," "not a fashionable dresser," "aloof," "wasn't fond of being pretty," "some thought of her as a lesbian."
These unappealing descriptions are provided by Ryan (main male character) back to back.
Then he suddenly refers to her as beautiful (and continues to do so the rest of the book) and says, "I transferred my hands to her hips and raised her off the floor. She was heavy, but it was not a problem for a man of my size."

And we later find out that this chonk of a plus size young lady is....wait for it... a size 32" waist! So, a size "large" in America, and below average waist size of women in America. I can't even. Aside from these insults, the book was pretty decent, a nice quick read with an assertive, rough, male character who turns sweet.

A Sexy and Fun Read!

A steamy novella about a young, inexperienced woman attracted to an ex-con named Ryan through parental boss connections and circumstance, which unbeknownst to each character their feelings are mutual. The sex is hot and the misunderstandings are numerous, but this builds on their connection. By the end you are rooting for their happiness as their story ends romantic and happily. A warning to other readers as there is mention of sexual abuse and victimizing, both discussed and portrayed, which may be triggering or uncomfortable for some. Other than very minor grammer/structure issues, this book was a fun, emotional, and very sexy read!

Quick, easy, and pretty spicy read which we all love that lets be real :)

This book threw me through loops with wanting to protect Sally due to past/horrible experiences and when a certain part happened in the book I hated the MMC but then finding out Sally had feelings for him or remembering she has feelings for him I didn’t know how to feel at all ;-; But the ending was super cute and him taking her on a date had me so happy for her despite what happened during it!! It was my first time reading a book like this and honestly I would love to read more like it some day :)

This book right here! The 3 previous series I read, made me a fan of Ms. Trammell for life. Reading this story,... it was raw! Passion, pain, betrayal, I could go on. The story was real and touched my history trauma. However, I'm so glad I kept reading. Spoiler, know there is a sensitive topic discussed.
Ryan is a man who gets what he wants. Sally loves him but doesn't believe he could return her feelings. Can these two figure out each other's weakness and become stronger together? Taming Sally is worth reading to find out

****This book is graphic and could cause triggers for some. May not be suitable for some readers.**** An enemies to lovers romance. A well-written romance with interesting and relatable characters.

Ryan is a construction worker for the Gonzalo Construction Company. He has been working there for four years. He noticed the bosses daughter the first day on the job. Over the years, he has convinced himself that Sally could do better.

Sally is the bosses daughter. She loves going to work with her father. She has had a crush on Ryan since he started working for her dad. But she's curvy and knew she didn't stand a chance with him.

Our hero is a bit miffed with our heroine as she got his lover fired. But perhaps there is more to this story.

This is a short erotic read with a bit of an enemies to lovers feel. The story is well written and easy to read with a small but very effective cast. There is also a good bit of depth to the story, more than is often found in short works. I liked reading about their journey and the difficulties they had to face to get their HEA. Overall, it was a very enjoyable read and I look forward to the next book.

Highly recommended.

I really liked this book. It was about an ex-con who started messing with an innocent and inexperienced girl in the hopes of getting revenge on her for ruining his previous relationship. The story line was really good and kept my interest the entire time. I also really liked both of the characters. It was steamy at some points and sweet at others. I can't wait to read the next book and find out about the story of Michael, one of the side characters in this story. It won't take you long to get involved in Ryan and Sally's romance. Their chemistry was off the charts once they allowed themselves to succumb to their desires. She was forbidden since she was the boss's daughter although they secretly wanted each other. He finally forces her to be the one to comfort him after she fires his girlfriend. The book has a good flow to it and is a quick easy read. It took me a while to warm up to their personalities but they ended up being likable. Great chemistry

Ryan is an ex-con working for a company that only hires past felon’s.
Lorena is bad seed. Working as a bookkeeper for. Sally’s father she’s using Ryan to further her self.
Sally the boss’s daughter has always had a crush on Ryan. While she has the possibility to end either careers, who will come out on top?
Ryan, Lorena or Sally?
There is chemistry between them just not all three together.
Or could a combination of sorts be in the making? Read to find out.

I received an ARC of this book and wanted to share this review. I enjoyed this book which didn't surprise me as I like the style and genre Catherine Tramell writes in. Unlike other books of hers this one seemed a bit superficial with regards to relationship depth. It just missed a bit of chemistry for me. I was definitely a quick and steamy read and those qualities are important to look at too. I appreciated the WARNINGS, please take the time to check them out. I would recommend that you get Taming Sally as the gift of a review is to see how wrong you might find my assessment when you take the time to read it and post your review..yes there is a challenge implied here. Are you going to take it up?

Catherine has succeeded in writing a great storyline. Sally has always wanted Ryan but being the boss's daughter felt he didn't want her. When Lorena gets fired, Ryan decides Sally will take her place. What will happen next? Will they get their HEA? I would recommend this book to anyone interested in a good steamy read. Sally works on her Dad’s construction site. She has always had feelings for Ryan but believes they are unrequited. Ryan is involved with Lorena and blames Sally when she is fired leading to a confrontational meeting. I loved reading this book. There is such chemistry between Sally and Ryan and it only gets hotter. Sally has a secret that no one knows. I am glad they both got their steamy HEA as they are good together.

Sally loved Ryan from the time the ex-con started working for her father. Sally walked in on him with the company secretary one time. Which prompted her looking for a new job. Ryan turned to Sally telling her that she would belong to him now since she caused his girlfriend to leave. As they continue their forced relationship things change between them how far will it go.

A quick read which will evoke several emotions...
Considering the heroine was so much younger than the ex con he was the less mature in many ways. He claimed her but she didn't protest, she'd had a crush on him for years. They were like bunny rabbits but he soon came to realise he cared for her deeply. Could the boss, her father, allow their relationship to continue? I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

A quick steamy read with some dark elements. Sally had her secret from her past and a crush on her father's employee. Ryan worked hard but he also played hard. He kept his feelings for Sally hidden until his anger pushed him over the edge. Once they connected, it took a bit for them to admit the truth. Despite a couple snags, these two found love together eventually. I enjoyed the story for the most part with Sally's willingness to give herself to Ryan despite his demands.

Ryan & Sally

Sally always had a crush on Ryan, from school days to now on her father construction company. Ryan have protective feelings and more for Sally too. Sally was quite, shy, and intelligent young woman. Then something happens to Ryan and Sally, making a spark turn into flames of passion. A quick hot, sexy storylines, HEA. I can't wait to read more by this author... Catherine Tramell

No Taming

More like shaming. Out of anger, then self shaming once clarity struck. Overall quality of writing was ok. Characters could have been developed more. Sally was made to look like a shy girl with low self-esteem. Yes she suffered a horrible trial, but she came across as pathetic. Yes there's intimacy scenes, no cheating or cliffhanger and it ends on a happy note. Quick read. 🧐

The book was a short read but packed a lot of enjoyment in it. I liked Rayan and the way he the author expressed his care of Sally. I think Sally maybe could have been a little stronger character but maybe if she was I might not have enjoyed the bi-play between the characters.

This is a quick and entertaining read. I wasn't a fan of Ryan in the beginning but he grew on me towards the end. I wish Sally stood up for herself a little more when it came to Ryan in the beginning. The story line was interesting and I am glad that they ended up getting their HEA.
