Heart Thumping -Non-Stop Action-from START to FINISH!! ❤️

You CAN read this ADRENALINE thriller in the course of the five hours or so that it might take you to fly from LAX (Los Angeles) to NY’s JFK airport....but I suggest you read it when your feet are planted firmly on the ground!!

Captain Bill Hoffman’s family has been kidnapped thirty minutes before his flight but he doesn’t know this yet.

His wife Carrie, and his two children are being held hostage, strapped to explosives 🧨

And the 2021 winner for Worst Book to Read on an Airplane goes to… Falling by T.J. Newman!

Applause, applause. The concept itself definitely deserves it, since it’s one of the best “would you rather” quandaries I’ve ever heard: If you were a pilot, would you rather crash the commercial plane you’re flying or have your kidnapped family be murdered? I consider myself pretty savage at WYR, but even I wouldn’t want to answer that question.

In fact, it’s such a good one that it’s already netted debut a

“Fasten your seatbelts. It’s going to be a bumpy night.”

Bette Davis said that famously misquoted line in All About Eve, and it applies here as well.

Flight 416 is on its way to New York when Captain Bill Hoffman finds out his wife and two children are being held hostage by a man that has strapped them into explosive vests. The man contacts Bill in-flight and tells him that if he doesn’t crash the plane, killing all “souls” aboard, then his family will be killed.

After the initial shock wears off,

This is a fast-pace Suspense Mystery/Thriller. This book takes you on a wild ride of action, twist and suspense. Basically without giving anything away this book is only about a pilot being made to choose to save his family or to save everyone on the plane he is flying. This book pull me in so fast, and I did not want to put it down at all. I spend most of today reading this reading. All the characters in this book are really developed, and they really came to life for me while I read this book. ...more

Wow! What an incredible debut novel. Fasten your seatbelts and pull your seat back straight because this is going to be one helluva ride!

When Coastal Airways Captain Bill Hoffman is called in on his day off to pilot flight 416 from LA to New York, he little imagines it will be any more than a routine flight. With clear weather, he’s not expecting any problems flying the Airbus A320 carrying 144 passengers, his experienced co-pilot Ben, two senior flight attendants, Jo and Michael and young proba

This is one that’s best to go in blind, without too much information which would spoil the enjoyment. Suffice it to say, Captain Bill Hoffman works for Coastal Airways, there are 144 passengers on Flight 416 from LAX to JFK. Meanwhile on the ground his wife Carrie, son Scott and baby Elise are held at gunpoint by Sam .... The story alternates between the cockpit and cabin and events on the ground.

My goodness, what a book! You might actually forget to breathe whilst reading this one. It is an intense page turner that you will struggle to put down. I made the mistake of starting Falling late one night and wished that I could have read it in one sitting. It would make a fantastic movie 🎥

This book starts with one of the scariest scenes I’ve ever read. I had no clue where the book would go from there. But it does…
Captain Bill Hoffman is the pilot on an LA to NYC flight when he gets an email from his wife. A picture of her and their son, bags over their heads and explosives around her waist. His choice - crash the plane he’s flying or have his family killed. It’s a wild ride to see how he plans to get out of this situation. There’s never a lull in the suspense

That was more like it - a book I could really get my teeth into. And what a dilemma it was! The decision is not popular with his family but he goes to do his job. Then the nightmare begins. He learns his family is being held hostage - his wife, Carrie strapped into a suicide bomber vest trying to comfort his son Scott, 10 and juggle 10 month baby Elise with bou ...more

“You will crash your plane or I will kill your family.” That is the message that Bill Hoffman receives while he is piloting a commercial aircraft from California to New York. His wife and 2 young children are being held hostage. There are guns, lethal gas and explosives involved and Bill must decide who will die.

A pulse pounding thriller that will have you flying through the pages!

Well, I never would have thought that the contents of this book was what a flight attendant would think about while doing her job while flying around the skies. Falling though is the debut novel of T.J. Newman who has spent ten years working in the airline industry as a flight attendant and has written this fast paced insane ride during that time.

The book begins with Captain Bill Hoffman having a terrifying nightmare of his plane crashing only to awaken near his loving wife Carrie. Shaking off t

I'll say this premise is fantastic and the fact that the author wrote from experience with her job shined through and added that extra layer of authenticity. I will say I had super high expectations for this book as it's getting a lot of early buzz. I found the pacing to be good, I could relate to the characters, especially the main characters but the secondary flight attendant characters were memorable as well.
