Energy, supply and demand sets the market

This book is focused on energy and the many facets to this dynamic resource. Written by Jason Schenker, the information included is invaluable to anyone wanting to gain a better understanding of the resource and the driving force behind the value. With a background in energy pricing and predicting rises and falls in the market, Jason is well qualified to share his wealth of knowledge on this subject. I found the information to be spot on and the presentation to be easy to follow and understand. The use of charts and figures to help understand the information was the most useful to me. If you are looking to further your knowledge or begin to learn about energy, this is a good starting place.

Having read another of Mr. Jason Schenker’s books recently, I was eager to read this one. This book deals with the topic of the Energy Sector and the technological industries and innovations that are going to keep (or start) disrupting the Energy Sector in the near future. There are plenty of different topics covered in this book: Supply and Demand of Oil and Natural Gas, Renewable Energy, Technological advances such as the electric cars, automation, telecommuting, even Nuclear Energy is covered. Even though the topics are varied, the book is structured in an easy top follow manner and the writing is done well. As with his other book, I found this one easy to read and there was plenty of new material for me to ponder. Some of the information even helped dispel misconceptions I wasn’t aware I had. This is a great book, informative, interesting and able to be read by both novice and an expert in the fields.

Full of interesting information!

Jason Schenker is highly knowledgeable in energy resources. He does an excellent job of explaining the different resources and the force which drives the prices and the demand for the certain energy sources. I don’t know a lot about energy and how it’s priced or what decides the prices on different sources but this book went a long way to clearing that up for me in clear layman’s terms. To me this book seems like a really good way to start learning about the many resources available and the driving force behind pricing or making them invaluable. I really found this interesting learning about the different types of energy available. This was the first book I’ve read like this but I’m excited to delve deeper and learn more about energy and its driving forces.
