The thrilling conclusion to New York Times bestselling author Chantal Fernando's Fast & Fury series, fully loaded with intense emotions and edge-of-your-seat suspense.
All she wanted was the truth.
All he wanted was to be left alone.
Nadia has always been in charge of her life. As a private investigator, she makes her own hours and only takes on cases that she wants to work on. But when a family friend asks her to look into a case, she instantly regrets it—it hits far too close to home.
The last thing she wants to do is rip open old wounds. Especially Trade’s, the single father she’s been spending time with. It isn’t long before she’s falling not just for him, but for the kids he’s trying so hard to protect.
But the little voice in Nadia’s head tells her that something isn’t right, and she’s determined to find the truth. Using her connections to the Knights of Fury MC and the Fast & Fury motorcycle garage to gather evidence, Nadia uncovers evidence of a conspiracy that will leave everyone shaken—and force her and Trade to do whatever it takes to keep their new family safe.
Fast & Fury Book 1: Custom Built Book 2: Custom Made Book 3: Custom Love
Knights of Fury Book 1: Saint Book 2: Renegade Book 3: Temper
Knights & Dragons MC Book 1: Decker's Dilemma Book 2: Rhett Redeemed Book 3: Answering Atlas
Custom Love is the third book in the Fast & Fury series and brings us back to a few familiar faces that we were introduced to in the previous books. Though, this book can be read as a standalone with no issue.
This book actually surprised me with how emotional it was in the beginning but it really worked to suck me into the story right away. And I loved the direction it went from there which was more of a suspenseful one. I enjoyed that Nadia and Trade didn't have a ton of drama and there wasn't angst making it's way between them at every turn. It left a lot of room to really dig into the mystery that Nadia was looking into as well as getting to see the very sweet moments they had together.
Nadia and Trade worked so well together even when they did have some things to deal with. Seeing those smaller struggles really made it obvious just how perfect they were as a couple because they got through them so wonderfully. Overall, this is definitely a recommended read and I think anyone that picks up this book will fall in love with all of the characters.

📚 Hello Book Friends! CUSTOM LOVE is the third book in the Fast & Fury Series by Chantal Fernando. I was happy that this book showcased Nadia and Trace. Although this is a romance book, it also has a side dish of action, crime, and danger. I enjoy this series a lot. It has cool characters, settings, and awesome love scenes. If you are looking for a romance book that has handsome bikers in it, I recommend it!
I actually enjoyed this one the most! Finally we got a story and everything lined up but Chantal what the actual hell doing that to chains.. what in the actual hell… I have no words
Look is it a story I’m going to remember? No.. but it was a nice filler while I waited for other books to arrive so I can’t fault that!
All she wanted was the truth. All he wanted was to be left alone….Nadia is so stranger to taking care of herself. She likes things her way and in her control, and that goes for her work life too. But when a dear friend asks her to look into a case, this particular case hits too close to home. The last thing she wants to do is hurt the group of friends she now calls family. But in Nadia’s line of work, she’s learned to trust her gut. In her quest to find the truth, Nadia will find more than she ever bargained for…
Custom Love is the third book in the Fast & Fury Series and it follows the story of Nadia and Trade. Trade’s world was turned upside down when the love of his life was murdered. All he’s wanted to do is move on and forget the bad card life had dealt him. Unfortunately for him, his old wounds are about to blown wide open. When Nadia gets asked to take a look at a case that most would like to forget, she has no choice but to look into it. However, in her quest to find the truth, she finds herself getting closer to Trade and falling for a man she shouldn’t be falling for….
Overall, I thought this book was a really enjoyable read. Trade and Nadia were a force right from the start. I enjoyed their chemistry and banter. I loved that Trade was tough on the outside, but had a heart of gold was an amazing father. I thought Nadia had a lot of good character. She would do anything for her friends or those she loved. She had a big heart and would never purposely hurt someone. I liked how honest she was with Trade and how she tried to navigate the uncharted waters of their relationship. The road to happily ever after wasn’t an easy one for these two, but I had a good time reading their story and seeing how they sorted it all out.
As much as I enjoyed this story, I did have a couple of issues with it. There were some passages that I felt were a bit repetitive and it was kind of distracting at times. My other issue was that I felt like parts of the story were rushed. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed this story and could have easily have enjoyed another 100 pages of it. So, it kills me that certain parts were rushed.
All that being said, I still feel that Custom Love is a solid read. It was fun to get lost in and I’ve really enjoyed getting to know these characters as I’ve explored the Fast & Fury Series. I’m sad that this is the final book in this series, but hope that the author will do another spin-off as I’m not ready to say goodbye to all of these characters just yet.

I have been in love with Chantal's books since I read Dragons Liar. And I always look forward to a new release of hers. This book was so good.
Nadia we met in the first book in this series, she is Bronte best friend. And she is a private investigator. Because of Bronte she is part of this huge family now. When a family friend asks her to look into her sons case because she think he is innocent. At first Nadia is hesitant as the case she must look into is Traders women's murder. Trader is the brother of Temper who is the president of the Knights Fury MC. Rock and hard place...
Trader just lost the love of his life to a murder and the man who killed her is behind bars. Now he is a single dad to 4kids. His life is sort of getting back to normal. He is also running Fast and Fury now so his life is kind of full. So his life is getting back to some sort of normal. Now he might also have a new women in his life. So how will he handle it when his new women is looking into the death of the women he was going to spend the rest of his life with???
This book was so good. I loved that Trader was an amazing father and even though he lost someone important to him he had to carry on. Nadia was an independent bad ass and she had to overcome a lot to be with Trader and to be in his and the kids lives. Some unexpected twist and turns there at the end but I loved it. I hope there is more in this series... Hope we get to see the twins story soon❤☺☺
We've seen Nadia in all the other books since she is Bronte friend and former boss. And Trade too since he is Bronte's new boss. Now why did Trade have to have that tragedy happen to him, and all the kids were confusing. I needed a better reminder cause the explanation of them (I think) was in the previous series. And let's talk about the bad guy...what the feathers....no, no, just no.
Now will there be more books with the three new prospects.
4 star review of Custom Love (Fast & Fury #3) by Chantal Fernando Having read a few books by Chantal Fernando, I couldn’t wait to read Customs Love. From the first word to the last I was drawn in and riveted to private investigation Nadia and the single dad she has fallen for Trade. Taking on a job quickly becomes personal for Nadia and she soon finds herself calling on the Knights of Fury MC and the Fast & Fury motorcycle garage for assistance. What she uncovers leads to danger for her blossoming relationship and family. Trade has already been through so much and I really felt for him. There were a number of twists and turns, some I did not expect at all and Custom Love is a good example of romantic suspense. I received a copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley.
This was amazing an absolutely fantastic read. I was not expecting it to end that way but wow. Boy did it really hit you in the heart. I really loved this one and I can't imagine what will happen next.
Prologue “I’m not sure why it has taken me three years to propose to Ariel. I knew she was mine the second I saw her, but after a drunken night out when she said she wants to have a baby with me, our first together, I realized that I need to get my sh*t together. We already have four kids, three mine and one hers, but to us they are all of ours. I take my role as a father very seriously, and I love Mila like she is my own blood. Her biological father, Merve, is an absolute deadbeat and Mila doesn’t even know him. She knows me, and only me, as her dad”. (He’s Prince Eric to her Ariel. A Little Mermaid reference).
Ariel went missing that evening, a victim of foul play, her body was discovered a day or two after, in her car at the bottom of the lake. The shock and devastation of her body being found, she had a young daughter, Mila, who is now five years. When it was revealed she was murdered, losing her brought them so much pain, she was loved by everyone.
One Year Later Nadia is Bronte’s best friend, Bronte (Custom Built, Book 1)manages Fast & Fury Custom Motorcycles and Trade runs it, Nadia is a PI and occasionally sees him at events.
This is also one-dimensional, depicted from Nadia’s perspective.
Marisol, her honorary aunt, is convinced her son Damon is not guilty of the crime. Having virtually grown up with Damon, he’s the last person anyone would ever suspect of murdering someone. He’d always been gentle and kind to everyone around him (people change, though).
Marisol was one of her mum’s closest friends, always visible in her life. When she lost her mum, Marisol made it a point to attend and be present at all of her school activities, such as basketball games. One year at finals, she even made her own sign with Nadia’s name on it, lifting it up and cheering her on as she scored the winning goal. She was essentially the aunt she never had, and most of her childhood memories include her.
“Why now? Why didn’t you come to me earlier, before he was convicted?” No matter what the response, this would have been a conflict of interest, complicating matters had she been involved during the height of the investigation.
“I don’t know. I thought it’d be obvious he didn’t do it. I didn’t think they’d find him guilty.” “Marisol, I knew Ariel, and her whole family, too. They are my friends. Can you imagine what kind of position that’s going to put me in?”
Damon’s property was close to the lake, overlooking the crime scene, which is perhaps the reason he became the prime suspect. That, the interaction he had with Ariel—and his already-long criminal record. Based on his record, they used burglary as his motive. Damon got into drugs when his dad passed away. Before that he was a good student and an upstanding citizen before loss and grief spiralled him out of control.
The case she is investigating is Ariel’s murder, at the behest of Marisol to clear her son. The man imprisoned for the crime. She’s convinced of her son’s innocence (in the murder). Admitting that she’s looking into the case was not received….well. Marisol having been a surrogate mother to her, she feels honour-bound to investigate Damon’s innocence.
Marisol is convinced Damon is innocent of the crime. But then his ex, Taylor who recently began dating Chains turns up dead of a suspected overdose.
Their quasi-first time being intimate is a major blunder, the presence of Ariel makes Nadia feel inadequate…a consolation prize. She never feels as though she measures up…moreover, she’s only there because Ariel isn’t! Trade couldn’t finish the deal, still reconciling to the loss of Ariel, YET, shortly thereafter he’s consummating their relationship in the bed he shared with another woman???
His children are all accepting of her except Alia. She’s clearly having the greatest issue with Nadia entering the picture and replacing Ariel.
Nadia is worried of being second best. He was about to propose to Ariel, he has four children to raise, one extremely resistant and conflicted. Alia voices her resentment of Nadia on more than one occasion.
Nadia recognises that it wasn’t going to be easy and it’s impossible to ignore that the day Ariel died, Trade was about to propose.
She might no longer be present, but she’s always going to be part of their lives. She’s Mila’s mother and no one is going to let her forget Ariel. Nadia’s going to have to make all the sacrifices to be with him. The children will always come first, not her.
New information comes to light, indications that Damon’s alibi whilst airtight doesn’t paint him favourably. She is suddenly prepared to leave an innocent man in jail, to avoid discord? The night Ariel was murdered, Damon left the house to sell drugs. There are two witnesses who can confirm that, which is probably why his mother lied to her about it. Because then he’d have to explain his actions. “How do you know the witnesses are telling the truth? And where were they during the trial?” “They have no reason to lie, and they didn’t come forward because they were out buying drugs. Who is going to come out and admit that to a court room?” “What else did this FBI agent say?” I press. “Just that I should stay out of it, because it’s a lot bigger than I think.” (This thread is never resolved. Why was he told to back away)?
“What are you going to do with that information?” “I don’t know yet, now my career’s at stake, and she told me it’s in my best interest to stay away. I don’t know what to do. What about you? What are you going to do? Are you going to look into the case now we know that Damon might have actually been telling the truth about not killing your friend?” She was never invested in the investigation once she began dating Trade, putting him first. This painted in a poor light, more concerned with Trade than proving a man’s innocence.
“I’m going to go now. I will think about what you’ve said, but I don’t know if going down this rabbit hole is worth it. Ariel and Trade had kids. What would it do to them if there was a new case and the details were back-to front-page news?” “So you’re just going to walk away, knowing an innocent man could be in prison? Sounds like you’re taking the easy way out,” he says, and damn if those words don’t hurt, because he’s right. I gave up on Damon when I found out that Marisol lied to me, and I never bothered to look into it any further and keep pushing on the case, when normally I would have. I know the pressure from everyone else wanting to let the case lie contributed to that decision.
Izzy (Renegade) is surprisingly understanding of Nadia’s role in Mila’s life as a mother-figure. Alia is the only person willing to voice her resentment of Nadia.
Can she handle this, an instant family or is it too much? Is it too late for regrets? What if Alia never accepts her and there’s always bitterness? Will she be able to have a relationship with Trade? She doesn’t know where she’s meant to be, but she feels certain that she’s always going to be compared to Ariel.
The night after professing their love for each other, he calls out Ariel’s name in his sleep. Nadia probably should have seriously considered her level of commitment and heartbreak before becoming attached.
If she wants to be with him, she’s going to have to overcome her insecurities. It hurts her that even his subconscious mind runs back to Ariel. And if she was here, Trade wouldn’t have even looked at her or given her the time of day. It’s hard not to feel second place when you look at it like that.
They finally locate clues that points to the identity of the murderer, he’s the last person they’d suspect. This wasn’t a crime of passion, but being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
I didn’t sense any grand chemistry, it seemed more a relationship of convenience, rather than of passion. Even the bedroom scenes were lacklustre.
My favourite remains CUSTOM MADE, Cameron and Orion were the most interesting of the couples.

Custom Love is the newest release of the week and is also the latest installment in her Fast & Furious series. I saw that this one was available at Hoopla, so I decided to pick it up and I am so happy that I was able to do so because of this BOOK. I honestly couldn't put this one down at all. It had so much goodness in this book and I am not sure if it was because it was the narrator or the book itself where I couldn't put this one down. I was completely hooked. Of course, it has a mix of all of some of my favorite elements in romance so it checked all of the books that I look for in a book like this so without further ado lets forge ahead about what was so glorious about this one here.
Custom Love is a story that features:
Trade-single father, brother to MC President, running Fast and Fury
Nadia-private investigator, best friend to Bronte
In Custom Love, Trade loses the woman he loved and the one that was the mother to his three kids. And now that the supposed murderer is behind bars, he is trying to move on with is life and helping his kids recover and heal from the loss they have been dealt. Nadia, was stunned when the mother of the one is said to have killed Trade's wife, might be innocent and to look into it. At first, Nadia, is hesitant because of how she is connected to the people involved in the case. But she is a searcher for the truth and has a sense of loyalty towards those involved in it. So she slowly investigates while at the same time has a pursuing interest in Trade and his family. But as clues start to appear that not everything is as it seems in the case, Trade and Nadia search for the real murderer, but what they find is not what they expect and will shoot a blow to all of those involved.
Custom Love was such an interesting book and I definitely wasn't expecting to find such a solid mystery to be solved in this one. It really is what gravitated me towards this story. I do love a good mystery, but honestly, I just wanted to see who the culprit was and it definitely wasn't who I expected at all. It is actually very rare for an author to surprise me like this with the identity of the villain, but Chantal Fernando definitely worked me good in this book and I am more than happy to admit that. There was so much goodness in this book that I just wanted to gobble it all up like it's a Thanksgiving feast. Custom Love has such a wonderful blend of romance and suspense and I was on board with it all. I fell so deeply in love with Trade's kids, and what adorable children they were and added just the right touch to the story. All their antics had me laughing so hard and really added the right flavor of humor and wit to the story to balance out so much of the serious adulting things going on :) I truly enjoyed my time getting to know these characters and all their unique adaptability in the circumstances which are handed to them. The romance between Trade and Nadia was perfect, there is some angst in the story, but it is low angst and it fit my mood to just what I wanted in this romance. Chantal Fernando definitely delivered such a solid, heartwarming story I couldn't get enough of.
Overall I found Custom Love to be a touching romance that balances out the mystery with friends falling in love with each other and building upon their connection. It has sparks of laughter, edge-of-your-seat suspense, and a love story that will evoke all sorts of emotions within you.
I missed this bunch and I was looking forward to reading Nadia's story! All through the book Nadia, in her position as a private investigator, is always threading a thin line between investigating Ariel's death on behalf of Marisol, a woman she considers close to a mother, and letting it all go in order to not hurt her friends and especially Trade, whom she gets closer and closer.
Nadia's side is very well written, her position is very well balanced and she is always sincere and caring, still being true to herself and her work. Bronte is as always supportive and lovely, a truly best friend and her advice is always thoughtful. Trade is also caught between the memory of his dead wife, taking care of his kids and his new found passion for Nadia. Chains, however.. man, I didn't see that coming, I was expecting for him to have his own romance in the future..
This book was nice, and well written, but with a real feel that I didn't like much. What I mean is.. the romance side was not enough for me. There was the investigation, the friends, the detective, Trade's confusing feelings, which I understand, and the kinds, which again I understand, but in between all this I felt the romance was on a 2nd, 3 rd place. What actually didn't work out for me was the fact that Nadia was never on the first place for Trade. At one point she says Trade is wonderful and always puts her on the first place, but it never feels like that. Honestly, it couldn't have been any different given he has kinds, he's still mourning his wife and has the MC close.
So this is a book where the mystery part and the family and friends part takes a lot of space, so if this is something you like, you will definitely like this book.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I love this author for many reasons but mostly for the relatable characters and emotionally driven stories.
Nadia, a private investigator and all round boss lady. I really loved her character. A strong woman who fights for what is right, even if it means she's the one getting hurt in the process. Her raw honestly and sweet vulnerability could be felt throught the pages.
Trade. Man do men get any better than this guy. A hero... a dad who truly lives for his kids. The man had his heart destroyed when he lost his woman and he still got up and lived for his children and made sure they never felt the loss of love. Honestly.. the guy is pretty perfect.
Their relationship was not without it's faults which all things considered was completely understandable. They really had to connect on a deeper level, forgo the drama and respect eachother enough to be honest through their struggles and they did just that in a way that made it impossible not to love them together. Finding love after loss is unimaginable and joining a family after that kind of loss is too but I feel like they navigated through those rough waters perfectly. The growth, the love between them it's felt though the pages. The hot chemistry, the sweet moments of humanility... the space they allowed themselves to have to figure it out. IT WAS EVERYTHING.
This isn't a crazy action packed ride but it's heartfelt, raw and filled to the brim with all the feels. I loved all the characters and the chemistry between them. I adored the slow sweet pace of their journey and the fact that nothing was rushed. It was a sweet read with a little heartache and a whole lot of real. I have to say it's probably my favourite of this series yet. I just didn't expect their journey to be what it was but it was a special one for sure.
~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~
This is the third book in this series, and ties in with the Knights of Fury series too - so lots of friends to catch up with as well as a lovely romance!
PI Nadia, Bronte's best friend and ex-employer is enjoying being friends with the MC guys, and Trade, who recently lost his girlfriend, Ariel, has attracted her attention more than others. So when she is asked to show that the person in prison for her death is innocent, she is very torn. Her loyalties are split, but her desire to see justice over-rides all else.
As she and Trade spend more time together, and she gets to know his children, she knows that this is getting very complicated. I really liked how they dealt with the need for communication, for honesty, and for care about how their closeness may affect the children. Trade has always been a good guy, so his behaviour is not unexpected, but it is welcome.
I really enjoyed the mystery side of the story too, as the tension was well maintained, and the twists kept me on edge very effectively. I will say no more!
A great addition to the series, and great to see how previous romances are moving forward. Already looking forward to the next one...
Custom Love is the third and final addition to the Fast and Fury series, and ties several storylines together. It's a suspenseful and emotional read with quite a few surprising twists and turns.
Nadia and Trade are incredibly sweet together and I loved the evolution of their romance. Their struggles were realistic and made this pair all the more relatable.
Nadia is a private investigator who is strong, independent, loyal and hardworking.
Trade is a single father, and brother to Temper the President of the Knights of Fury MC.
I thoroughly enjoyed this addition to the series, and look forward to seeing what Chantal Fernando writes next.
Wow this book blew my mind, so didn't expect what happened. The characters are amazing and I love how they grow as the story goes along. I love this series so much and I hope Chantel Fernando plans for more stories. I have to say this book shocked me on so many levels this is one story that just kept me on the edge of my seat. I highly recommend this book.
~~~~~~~~~~Julie's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review~~~~~~~~~~
This book was so explosive. The storyline was phenomenal and I love the fact that this MC is in the thick of it. Nadia loves her job and she is always seeking answers. Trade has lost so much but his kids always come first. Excellent writing.
I really enjoyed this final book in the series. It was more of an emotional read than I was expecting and a great conclusion to the Fast & Fury stories.
Nadia and Trade were the kind of romance characters I enjoy. Believable connection, great dialogue and yummy chemistry. This one had a healthy dose of suspense and it was a well thought out story with some twists and turns. Definitely recommend.
Nadia is a private investigator and agrees to look into a case for a friend. Trade is a single dad looking after his kids. Nadia is involved with him and getting close with the kids. The case is turning out to be close to home for her. Trade and Nadia will have to do everything in their power to protect their family.
Trade just wanted everyone to leave him alone but a nosy PI, Nadia, just can’t help herself. This book is full of emotional highs and lows for Nadia and Trade. They face challenges together as their relationship develops. Will the single father have room for Nadia?
I’m not sure why, but I felt kind of distanced from the characters in Custom Love. That doesn’t mean that I didn’t like the story or it was lacking in any way in comparison to the rest of the books in the Fast & Fury series. It was definitely a case of “it’s me, not them.” *sigh*
Both Nadia and Trade were established characters in the series. Nadia had been considered part of the “family” because of her friendship with Bronte. Trade was the brother of Temper, the president of the Knights of Fury MC. He had left the MC to concentrate on his own business and more importantly, his kids. They were still in healing mode from more than one loss in their lives. Honestly, neither one of these characters seemed ready to start a relationship, but fate and love sometimes have different ideas.
Regardless of the timing and my personal disconnect, there was still a lot to love about Custom Love. The sense of family – both blood and found – was strong. There was a bit of mystery – even though I figured it out long before the characters in the story did. Given the circumstances, that was understandable though. Once you figure it out, you’ll understand.
I have to admit, that even though I enjoyed the Fast & Fury series, I think I liked the Knights of Fury a little bit better. It was interesting to see the members outside of the MC though. I’ll be keeping an eye out on what comes next from Chantal Fernando. I have a feeling that we may not have seen the last of this group of characters. 😉
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of Custom Love. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book started off sad, and I was yelling are you kidding me..I did enjoy Nadia, I always have since she appeared in the first book as Bronte's friend and I am glad that she got her story and eventually her man and happiness in Trade, it just saddened me on how they got to that HEA. And I wish that the person that ended up being the bad guy, wasn't since he was a part of the story from the beginning as well I didn't expect it and it also saddened me that it would end this way..I don't want to give out spoilers, so writing this review was difficult. All in all I still enjoyed as I tend to do with all of Chantal's books.
rcvd an ARC at no cost to author...(netgalley) voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions.
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review. The beginning of this story will suck you in and make you want to keep reading to see what happens in the end. Nadia is a private investigator trying to get to the truth. She has a gut feeling that the man in prison is not telling the truth. As she digs around she feels bad about digging up old wounds but she wants to get to the truth. It has been over a year since Trade's world fell apart. He has been trying to get his life back on track for himself and his kids. When Nadia shows up, the sparks between them start to fly. He wants to move on but when he finds out what case Nadia is working on it might end things between them before they begin. This story is fun, flirty, suspenseful, romantic, heartbreaking, and in the end, it was perfect. I have come to really enjoy this series and love this author's stories that I have read so far. I can't wait to see what the next book will be about.
CUSTOM LOVE is the third and final instalment in Chantal Fernando’s contemporary, adult FAST AND FURY romance series focusing on the men and women who work for Fast and Fury Custom Cycles. This is single father Trade, and private investigator Nadia’s story line. CUSTOM LOVE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary. The FAST AND FURY series is a spin off from the author’s KNIGHTS OF FURY MC series.
Told from first person perspective (Nadia) with a final chapter from Trade,CUSTOM LOVE follows Nadia’s private investigation into the murder of Trade’s girlfriend. One year earlier, Trade lost the love of his life, leaving him a single father to four children. A local man was arrested, charged and found guilty of the murder but fast forward to present day wherein Nadia, a private investigator, is asked to reopen the case in the belief that the man in jail is taking a fall for someone else. The problem, Nadia is friends with the dead woman’s sister, boyfriends and extended family at the Knights of Fury MC, and unwilling to betrayal their love or their trust, Nadia reveals her investigation, only to be shunned by the man with whom she will fall in love.Enter former MC member, single father Trade. What ensues is the building but struggling romance and relationship between Trade and Nadia, and the potential fall-out when Nadia’s investigation begins to take a personal turn with everyone involved.
Trade has struggled in the year since the murder of his girlfriend. As a single father, Trade has had the help and assistance of family and friends but our hero has never thought about moving on until Nadia drops into his life. Battling between head and heart when Nadia reveals the direction of her investigation, Trade must chose between the past and the present, hoping to avoid a lonely future alone. Nadia knew taking the case would open up a proverbial ‘can of worms’ but never thought she would lose her friendship with Trade. Recusing herself, Nadia would struggle with the information she knows, pulled back in when the FBI and police begin another investigation of their own.
The relationship between Nadia and Trade is slow to build as Trade struggles to move on from the past. Nadia is reluctant to fall for a man who is unable to let go of what was especially when she may always be second choice, now and in the future. Trade never thought he would find someone else to love, and guilt begins to override his need for our heroine. The $ex scenes are passionate but mostly implied.
There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including several from the Knights of Fury MC. We are introduced to Trade’s children, their aunt Izzy, and Detective Decker.
CUSTOM LOVE is a story of family, friendships, relationships and love; a story of betrayal and vengeance; second chances and the future. The premise is engaging and entertaining but not quite as edgy as the previous instalments- I expected a little more drama and conflict when it came to the resolution; the romance is sweet and gentle; the characters are energetic and enterprising.
In the fourth book in the Fast & Fury series so much happens. Oh so worth it. Although this book stands alone reading the entire series can make the book so much better. This book has a lot of push and pull but it adds so much to the entire book. In this book you get to see a very protective dad and the incredible, strong and loyal woman he want to care about. The author writing is flawless, and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shockingly intimate I have become a huge fan of this author. The author writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.
Authors Blurb: All she wanted was the truth.
All he wanted was to be left alone.
Nadia has always been in charge of her life. As a private investigator, she makes her own hours and only takes on cases that she wants to work on. But when a family friend asks her to look into a case, she instantly regrets it—it hits far too close to home.
The last thing she wants to do is rip open old wounds. Especially Trade’s, the single father she’s been spending time with. It isn’t long before she’s falling not just for him, but for the kids he’s trying so hard to protect.
But the little voice in Nadia’s head tells her that something isn’t right, and she’s determined to find the truth. Using her connections to the Knights of Fury MC and the Fast & Fury motorcycle garage to gather evidence, Nadia uncovers evidence of a conspiracy that will leave everyone shaken—and force her and Trade to do whatever it takes to keep their new family safe.
This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.
4 1/2 stars Another terrific story in this great series. What I like the best is that each book is so varied yet connected so well. They ooze familial care and support from the Knights of Fury MC and everyone connected with the club.
This story is heartbreaking at times and you definitely need to pause and ponder on some of the issues discussed. Emotions run high, especially when Trade’s children are in the scene, and Nadia is just the person to help smooth things over. Trade’s character is so loving, he is a fabulous father and I really liked both lead characters together. Having only met Nadia briefly, like Bronte’s prior boss and friend, we didn’t know much about her. In Custom Love you see her as hardworking, that much we knew, but so much more.
There’s some sneaky, quick humor that is simply outstanding and leaves you laughing out loud, you find yourself reading along then suddenly it’s either fun banter between characters or the scene becomes very humorous and then you’re literally gasping with laughter. One of the main reasons for the extra half a star.
Great twists and turns are thrown in the mix to make this a truly unpredictable story. The suspense element, while definitely there, wasn’t over the top but it certainly made you think about possibilities and reasons as to why things happened. The smoothness with which this suspense element, as well as the relationship between Nadia and Trade, flowed is another reason for the extra half a star.
My Custom Love Review . . .
I have always liked anything by Chantal Fernando, sure at times I find some of her MC stories on the 'lite' side but this spin off series seems like the perfect combo. We get a bit of the MC but it is also on other characters we have seen.
When I read the prologue I was SHOCKED this was the turn the story was going. I did not see that coming at all.
We first met Nadia in Custom Built as the best friend of Bronte. We briefly see her again in Custom made, but we have Trade through out this series and also the Knights of Fury series.
From the beginning with Trade he has seemed like an awesome father. Now that tragedy has struck he has more responsibility in helping his kids go through this heartbreak.
I have to admit I never saw the possibility of Nadia and Trade but they do work together. Since it was never on our radar their full connection and quick love felt a bit too quick and insincere at times but that was easy to get past.
With all the girls at Fast and Fury the Knights Fury MC are like a big loveable protective family and make such a great addition to this series.
"Well, luckily you have all of us, now." he replies after a few moments. "We can be the family you didn't want but got stuck with anyways."
After the prologue we think all is answered but Nadia finds out it is not and investigates it more. And this turn of events of whom is truly behind things was also a big surprise. I like when authors can keep me guessing instead of being totally predictable.
The family part of this story was good and I liked all the kids and how they interacted with everyone.
My fingers are crossed that Decker gets his own story as well. Great series and I can't wait for more from this series and this author.
J'ai dévoré hier le tome 3 de la série "Fast & Fury" "Custom Love" de Chantal Fernando qui conclut au final 6 romans puisque cette série suivait celle des "Knight of Fury" (on retrouve les mêmes personnages même si cette fois, l'univers se situent autour du magasin de motos "Fast & Fury" (création, réparations, customisation) qu'ils avaient fondé) et franchement, c'est l'un des meilleurs, même si je suis passée par différentes émotions en raison de ce qui se passe pour plusieurs personnages secondaires dont un que j'ai adoré dès la première série et qu'elle a choisi de faire évoluer pas du tout de la manière dont je l'espérais (soyons clairs, j'ai été dégoûtée mais vraiment! en même temps, cela lui évite d'écrire un tome où il est le héros, ce qui était demandé depuis quasi le début : bref...) Ici, nous découvrons l'histoire de Trade, le "petit" frère de Temper, le président des "Knights of Fury" et gérant donc de "Fast & Fury pour son frère : il travaille avec des bikers et Cameron (l'héroïne du tome précédent) , et de Nadia, la meilleure amie de Bronte (l'héroïne du tome 1) qui travaille comme détective privé. Quand j'ai lu le résumé, j'avoue avoir été surprise car Trade était en couple avec Ariel depuis le tome 2 de la première trilogie (elle est la petite soeur d'Izzie, l'héroïne de ce fameux tome 2) et je ne le voyais pas la quitter : il va donc se passer un événement terrible qui va changer la donne et faire donc que ce couple soit possible et force est de constater que tous deux vont devoir affronter des épreuves aussi bien pour eux que pour leur familles, leurs amis et rien ne leur sera épargné.
Having read the first two books of the Fast & Fury series, my heart did a happy bounce when Custom Love showed up on Netgalley. This next one is about Nadia (Bronte’s ex boss from Custom Built).
After firing Bronte, Nadia finally got some cases to avoid a total bankruptcy. And now her old neighbor, Marisol, asks her to look into the case of her convicted son Damon. She believes he is innocent and should not be in jail.
The complication of this case is that Ariel, the murdered woman, was the sister of Izzy and the girlfriend of Trade of the Knights of Fury’s MC. And basically Trade is currently Bronte’s boss at Fast & Fury. So looking into this case will definitely stir up some issues. But since the evidence doesn’t add up, Nadia is determined to find out the truth. For Trade his four kids always come first. After their mother left them first for drugs and then they lost their stepmother Ariel to a brutal murder, they have been through enough sorrow.
But then he meets Nadia and for the first time, Trade finds himself interested in a woman. And since Nadia seems to connect to his children as well, he starts to believe they can become more.
But then he finds out that Nadia is looking into Ariel’s death. Not wanting to relive the horrible history, Trade cuts all ties with Nadia. But then, another body turns up. Could it be that Nadia is right? Could the murderer still be on the run?
Suspense, drama, sparks flying and heartbreaking stories. Hold on to your panties and enjoy the ride. Five out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.
Custom Love is the third book in the Fast and Fury series. It also follows on from the Knights of Fury series, both of which I have (mostly) read. I think these series are ones that have got better as they've gone on. I'm not sure if that's because they have just become more interesting or because I have got to know the various characters better. This book deals with private investigator Nadia and temporary business manager Trade. We've seen Nadia in the previous books, so it was nice to see her get her own story now. She is a strong woman and fortunately finds someone who is her equal in Trade. Trade has had a rough time, after losing the woman that he was planning to propose to, he's left raising four children. There's a lot going on in this story. Nadia has to negotiate a new relationship while taking into account the feelings of Trade's children. She hasn't had a lot to do with kids before, so this is a whole new challenge. There is also the question of what happened to Ariel, Trade's partner and the mother of one of the children. Is the man in prison the one who really murdered her. It doesn't help that Nadia has been asked to investigate. This was a gripping read and I couldn't help hope that Nadia and Trade would work everything out. Trade was a lovely character and the two worked really well as a couple. I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
I have loved every book in this series.. we met Nadia in book 1 as she is friends with Bronte.. she also became fast friends with the rest of the Fast & Fury family..
Nadia is a PI and when she is hired/asked by an old family friend, one who practically raised her.. to look into the wrongful conviction and imprisonment of her son.. Nadia is torn.. she is a PI and what would it hurt to look.. maybe someone missed something.. but when she finds out the case involves a person who was murdered and that person is Ariel Trades deceased girlfriend.. she feels bad.. she does not want to sneak behind Trades back.. so she figures she would give him a heads up.. knowing she probably wont find anything anyway..
Trade is currently running Fast & Fury.. and my heart broke for him. He has had a tough time as of late, the night he was planning on proposing to the love of his life.. he finds out she has been murdered.. and he is left raising four children all on his own...
I loved the relationship Trade and Nadia had.. although a bit rocky at the start.. The chemistry was fire! And those kids.. OMG I loved them.. but when we find out just who was behind Ariel's death.. my heart shattered yet again.. but as Chantal Fernando does.. she puts it right back together with a amazing HEA for Trade and Nadia..
