Let's Smile From Ear to Ear! We're all having to get used to wearing face masks in our daily lives. Let's see how our favorite animals wear their masks and still have fun! Smiling From Ear to Ear is a cute, colorful picture book that shows friendly animal characters wearing face masks when they go to the park, the store, the doctor's office and more. It's made with love for parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, older siblings, teachers and anyone who interacts with young children and wants to make wearing face masks less frightening and more normalized for common activities. By supporting this children's book and its important message, you'll also be supporting the No Kid Hungry Campaign, Black Women in Visual Art, schools, and other organizations serving children and youth.
A very relevant children's book during this pandemic as we all need to wear face coverings including our young ones. The book is filled with cute illustrations of animals all wearing masks while doing various normal activities. After reading Smiling Ear to Ear to my toddler girls, they now put on their masks when we go out without complaining anymore! This book has made a great impact to us. If you have young ones, I highly recommend getting this book!
The author states: “I wanted to address kids’ fears and struggles by normalizing face masks in everyday activities using a playful and imaginative approach”
During this time with the coronavirus pandemic going on it is hard for everyone to understand it all and why we have to wear mask. As adults we are better at it but most kids do not really grasp the meaning. In Smiling for Ear to Ear it is all about the animals wearing masks and still be able to do things. Showing the kids that the animals are wearing mask and can still do all the activities they want. The pictures in the book are great. They have many different types of animals and the animals are all wearing the mask. The point of the book is the get the kids to want to wear a mask. The book has a good message but it’s very short and repeats itself often. It is all about showing you can smile and have fun even when we have to wear a mask to protect ourselves.
This book is a wonderful new addition to help make wearing a mask less scary. We see all of the animals wearing masks and having fun. We can be "smiling from ear to ear" even when wearing a mask. My only objection is the way that elephant wears his mask - I feel like it should be covering his trunk!
