In 2000, Richard won Poet of the Year for his poem The Darkness. He's also one of the creative brains behind the Allatoona Book Festival, a literary event in Acworth, Georgia.
A recovering retail worker, he now works in the tech industry when he's not busy writing.
He has three step-daughters, three huskies and two cats.
His love affair with fantasy was born in high school when a friend's mother gave him a copy of Dragons of Spring Dawning by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman.

Shadow Monster.
I so don't want this series to end, with the magic all but gone, Maren is still bound the ferryman's boat by a powerful spell, Eldwin is at his wits end and must come with another way to free her, but the school of Terranese holds the answers, there is monstrous shadow that is waiting for him, even Sion is terrified to enter and is no match for it, can Eldwin escape with his life, a sinister new dark character is gathering the dead and has his sights set on Katori, by getting the magic back, it may just save them all and free Maren from her prison, this book the plot is building the last book in the series to be immense and bring it all to be huge anti climax, amazing characters, the narration is just brilliant, highly recommended....😁🐉⚔🐲

Another great book with another great ending
I cannot tell you how much I thoroughly enjoy these books the stories are rich the characters are rich the writing is superb cannot wait to read the last novel in the series

I love the smoke creature. I thought the zombie thing did come from nowhere but all still enjoyable. I guess my problem with this book is that we spend so little time with all of it. I feel that we could have explored more with that smike creature and the zombies too. But it was enjoyable, just a bit faster than expected.

What a sweet ending.
I teared up a little at the end. I’m not a big fan of the romance in this series, but it’s still sweet. Things are definitely getting more intense and I can’t wait to see where things go.

Eldwin needs to find some magical relics to help Maren build a bridge for the lost souls. Eldwin will encounter lots of unexpected obstacles when they enter the place where they need to go and retrieve the items. Someone is bringing back the dead and they need to figure out how it is happening. Lots of twists and turns and not knowing what to expect. This was another great book in the series.
