The silver screen has always been my gold standard of romance.
But sometimes you just need a change of pace.
Surely even I can handle a few months of casual fun without falling head over heels.
I’ll never know unless I push the envelope.
Rhett
A rolling stone gathers no moss.
A quick job closer to home and then I’m out of here.
I have no intention of letting anyone clip my wings.
With the equivalent of Fort Knox around my heart, not even a sexy bear can tear it down, right?
Paper Airplanes is book 2 in the Perspective Series. Featuring two men who most definitely do not understand how to navigate casual relationships, schoolyard forms of communication, meddling friends and family, a golden ball of fluff with a completely legitimate name, and a guaranteed HEA. Although this may be read as a standalone, the series is best enjoyed in order.
Bree Harmony, or B. Harmony is an MM romance author with a penchant for writing about men finding love, hard rock, and a little bit of headbanging. Pretty obvious with the last name Harmony, right?
With survival instincts fueled by iced coffee and far too many swear words to rival any sailor, B. Harmony delivers equal amounts of heart and heat, because life is all about balance, right?
4.5 stars. No commitments and relationships for Rhett, nope, not for him. Damon likes what he sees with Rhett, he’ll start on friendly terms with him, he’s more someone for long terms, but he is okay with it. With help from his best friend, Rhett finds a temporary job at Damon and his brother Jude’s landscape company. They share an office.
“First, I don’t date. I don’t do attachment. I don’t do forever.”
They tried to keep their distance, they really tried. But when they meet, again, at a bar, the attraction is undeniable and the heat is on. Rhett is clear, he’s not staying forever, just casual and keep it a secret for their friends. Damon accepts the conditions. Dang his heart.
Damon is a big bear, decent, gentle, friendly, romantic, and even a bit shy. Rhett finds him irresistible and so so adorable, his heart does strange things. He can enjoy this man but can’t allow himself to get involved too much. He got his reasons and he’ll leave soon.
They start something, it’s fun, passionate, lovely, and secretly of course. Rhett is firm with his theory no dates, don’t get attached. But oh boy, how wrong can he be!
Family and friends are of great importance in this story. They bring fun, support, commotion, and solidarity. Let’s not forget fluffy Barkley! It’s quite emotional at times, I got some blurry eyes, it’s steamy and also very endearing. The author created two beautiful layered characters, I enjoyed it greatly how they are developed. I loved Rhett and I absolutely adored Damon. Wonderfully and captivatingly written story, with engaging characters and a good plot. I enjoyed this story very!
Paper Airplanes is the second book in the Perspectives series, but can be enjoyed on its own. This is a very sexy read, with so much sex and dirty talk I was a little worried the character development would not bear up. Damon is a treasure of a man, though, and he really connected with Rhett on a level Rhett didn’t appreciate until separation pulled at their bonds. Damon’s really careful not to demand anything extra, and revels in the little victories that hint at them being more than sex buddies. Rhett gets antsy, but it’s too good between them to walk away for someone else, even as he knows he’s becoming too attached to Damon. He felt a bit one-dimensional, for most of the book.
I really enjoyed this read. It was good and it felt real. Their relationship progressed from casual to so much more, and you knew it was headed there the whole time. I liked that we got both their perspectives and were able to see how they were handling the changes. I also loved that there was no real angst. I just liked that they were able to be honest with each other and that everything ended up turning out wonderfully. I am one that has not read book 1...I read the Christmas short which was amazing and I know that I would love the B-Side as well, so I definitely need to get to reading it, as the characters are heavy in this, and I love them all. I am kind of hoping Jude will turn out to be bi and his book be next!! Maybe with Dylan...Just a thought!! Also, I absolutely adored the paper airplanes and how that all was, it was perfection!!
ARC provided by GRR in exchange for an honest review.
This is the first book I read from B. Harmony. I really liked the link with the title. My two highlights in the book are even related to that.
I found Rhett and Damon love story sweet, even though I’m not a fan of the « I don’t do relationships » trope. We ALL know that, in fact, they are quite capable of doing so.
I liked the POV from both MCs and that it’s written in the first person. I also love when an author includes a playlist to accompany the story, and provides us with a bonus epilogue.
All in all, a great read from a new-to-me author. I’m glad I acted on my attraction to the book cover and title.
A thoroughly romantic and heart-melting story. I can’t wax enough poetic on Damon and Rhett’s story. It’s a build-up, from instant attraction and denial, to “no-strings-attached, friends-with-benefits” to the realization that they have already fallen so hard for each other there’s no going back. Damon is a total cinnamon roll, he’s a big, bear-looking guy and therefore hardly ever finds a man who can give him what he wants: someone to take control and to take care of him. He’s a romantic at heart and what he really wants is the HEA, the picket fence, the works! Rhett has tried relationships, and has been burned. Plus, he has a job that takes him all over the country all the time, so settling down is not an option. That’s why casual arrangements are the way to go, until he finds there’s nothing casual in the way Damon makes him feel… The book is sweet and full of deliciously romantic gestures, big and small, that melted my heart completely. Also, B. Harmony books are always big on the music references, so, if you have the chance, read it while listening to the playlist the author created!
I absolutely loved this fantastic, sweet, delightful, poignant, grab-you-by-the-feels, charming, emotionally charged, tug-at-your-heartstrings, simmering, wonderful, heartfelt, and totally awesome addition to this marvelous series.
I could not put Rhett and Damon down. Damon is a hopeless romantic that loves Hallmark movies, wants the happily ever after, endless love. He’s so sweet and a big teddy bear.
Awe Rhett just broke my heart. He is a hookup kind of guy as he’s been hurt in the past. He is very much into his career which involves traveling the world.
Talk about instant chemistry. I so enjoyed their having a relationship although they didn’t think it was a relationship. I don’t want to ruin what made it so swoon worthy but Omg so romantic
Throw in some Tyler, Chance and Dylan what more can you ask for?? Ok you can ask for some awesome siblings and parents too. I can’t wait for Dylan to find his HEA.
"Paper Airplanes" by B. Harmony is book two in the "Perspective" series. The first book "The B-Side" was about Tyler and his new roommate Chance. It was quirky and fun… really funny and I enjoyed it. This second book in the series includes characters from the first book so it is best read in order.
Rhett is the kind of guy who is always on the go. At the beginning of this novel, he has just returned from a job after ages away. His life is the business he has created, his best friend Dyl and their moms.
Dyl asks Rhett to help out his friends with their business and Rhett finds himself attracted to one of the owners: Damon.
Damon is the polar opposite of Rhett. He's big and burly, soft-spoken and steadfast, and he wants the complete Hallmark romance in his life.
There's your set up for some sparks between two men who agree to keep things casual… and find that it's not that easy.
What did I love about this book? In spite of the fact that this is a frequently explore trope in M/M romance, Harmony has chosen a wonderful path that's pretty original. The title of the book: "Paper Airplanes" comes from the way these two main characters get to know one another. While working together in the office, they write on paper airplanes and send them across the office. I thought this was lovely and I've not read anything like it. I particularly liked the way the messages summed up the passage of time and the development of the relationship.
Rhett has been hurt in the past and has created a world in which he can stay independent emotionally, he doesn't want to be hurt again and is determined to keep things casual. The problem is that his emotions sneak up on him… and he suddenly finds himself in a "relationship" that he can't acknowledge because it's a risk.
I really enjoyed Damon's family in this novel. The banter was hilarious, and I got a real feeling of authenticity from Damon and his brother Jude. I love reading about realistic sibling relationships. The families in this book are all supportive of the main characters and that was a nice feature too!
There's some angst in this book but it's not overwhelming. Rhett has to make a lot of difficult decisions and learn to navigate his way through very unfamiliar territory. Damon is trying to balance his want for a perfectly romantic relationship with the fact that he may want a man who will always be a free spirit.
In addition to the story of Damon and Rhett, it was fun to catch up with Tyler and Chance from the first book. I won't spoil the progress of their relationship, but things are continuing to move forward from the first book.
This was really enjoyable! I'm hoping there will be more to this series in the future. This book could be read as a stand-alone, but I would encourage anyone who likes the genre to read the first book. All the characters are well worth the read!
(Insert big, happy, contented sigh). I was happy to dive into this book after having fallen in love with its predecessor. This book is like slipping into a cozy chair with a cup of hot cocoa and snuggling under a blanket. It’s like coming into a warm house after spending all day outside, in the cold. It’s like slipping into bed after putting on clean sheets. I could go on, and almost did, but I think you get the drift.
Teddy Bear, a.k.a. Damon, is the biggest sweetheart; you can’t help but love him and want to give him the world. He’s a walking contradiction, and I love it. Rhett, or Ev, as Dylan calls him, is a genuinely nice person as well. It’s apparent he’s been hurt in the past, and has since only kept to casual hookups or friends with benefits. He seems to be protecting himself from getting hurt again, but also from possibly making a genuine connection with someone. It makes me kinda sad for him.
Damon and Rhett had great chemistry, and you could literally feel the pull they had, to each other, through the author’s words. She does a great job painting a very vivid picture throughout the entire book. I was hooked and couldn’t put the book down. I loved their interactions, and I appreciated that the author didn’t stick to stereotypes with these men. It was refreshing. This book had a sense of realism to it that made me feel like these people could actually be people I would interact with in real life.
This was a very well-put-together romance. It had an incredible storyline that was well-written and captivating. It also included likable and relatable characters. I enjoyed my time with them, and seeing all the familiar faces through the entire book. While this is the second book in the series, it can technically be read as a stand-alone story, as the main characters do find their own HEA; however, I would highly recommend you read book one, and encourage you to read them in order. We meet everyone, but Rhett, in book one, and get it to know Tyler and Chance as they enjoy the journey towards their own HEA. Either way, I absolutely loved this book, and recommend it.

Paper Airplanes is an amazing read by B Harmony. The second book in the Perspective series, I am still in awe. I can't recommend it enough, as this is one of those romances that I will never recover from.
Omg, all the feels!
First, let's discuss the paper airplanes. Swoon. Just swoon.
I'm absolutely obsessed with how wonderful the paper airplanes are. They're sweet, romantic, and add a whole lot of tenderness to this story. I am still swooning.
Damon and Rhett are in the same group of friends. Their attraction is instant. But it's the little things, as they work together for a while, that brings these two together. And they are so damn perfect together.
As well as hot.
I truly love everything about this book. I can't stop thinking about it and how wonderful it is. They go from strangers, to friends, to sneaking around, to falling head over heals for one another. And all the while, I am falling head over heals for them and their journey. Everything about their journey is magnificent.
The forbidden romance aspect adds all the charm to this one. There's lots of secrets and sneaking around, as the men can only resist one another for so long. And I adore the way they manage to be together.
In the end, there's a natural obstacle in their way, as distance is an issue. Rhett doesn't do long distance. He can't and he won't. The angst is so damn well done, with the emotions jumping off the pages.
Overall, Paper Airplanes is an absolute gem. This B Harmony tale is everything one could ask for in a romance. It's a tale of taking chances, with an age gap and friends to lovers aspect. I love it all, as these two slowly fall madly in love! And the paper airplanes are truly beautiful!
„My heart sat pilot on the very first paper airplane I sailed across the office to his desk and never returned home.“
What an absolutely lovely and romantic story this was to read.
This is the story of Damon and Rhett.
Damon, that sweet sweet man *sigh*❤ . I already loved him in book 1 where he became Tyler´s best friend after their failed hook-up and he earned his nickname Teddy Bear. He is the most caring, kind, Hallmark-Channel-loving guy, who is so very lonely and longing for his one and only love to last forever.
Rhett, is the exact opposite of what Damon wants. Because of bad experiences years before, Rhett does not do relationships any more. Add his job, that demands that he travels all over the country for several months, he has very precise ideas, what he wants, when he meets Damon.
„No strings. No expectations. Sex and chemistry.“
I do admit, I did not like Rhett for the most part of the book. Yes, he made it clear right from the start, what he wanted and what he not wanted. BUT: it was also very obvious right from the beginning, where this arrangement „friends-with-benefits-and-no-strings-attached“ would end. In heart break. And not Rhett´s heart break.
Ok, I forgave him in the end, when he finally FINALLY realized what a sweet, wonderful and lovely man he almost lost, when he -again- disappointed Damon.
This is B.Harmony´s 2. book of her „Perspective“ series and she creates with „Paper Airplanes“ a romantic lovestory with a beautiful HEA. Damon is just so very adorable and sweet, you can´t help but love him on first sight, and ok, Rhett is also a little nice in the end😇
I truly can´t wait to read more and I´m waiting impatiently for book 3 in this series which will be Dylan´s story❤
I love the romance B. Harmony brings to her books. She brings a sense of family to her books that I enjoy. I love that the romance of Rhett and teddy bear Damon brought us back into Tyler and Chance’s love story as well. There is something about seeing old friends that makes you feel as if you are coming home again.
We meet Rhett through Dylan, Tyler’s assistant. Dylan and Rhett are best friends and grew up together. Rhett travels for his work as a financial genius helping companies get ready for selling or just getting their business financials together. Rhett is not one for the long haul and really not that into romance after being hurt so badly once before.
Damon is co-owner of Wicked Thorne with his brother and best friend Jude. Damon is a teddy bear who loves Hallmark movies and believes in romance and is Tyler’s best friend. Now Wicked Thorne happens to need a bit of Rhett’s financial genius and so Damon, Jude, and Rhett meet up to see if Rhett can work his magic on their company. To say the sparks fly is an understatement.
There were so many parts of this book that I loved. B. Harmony had me laughing and crying throughout all of the pages. She has a way with writing that makes me just want sigh my way the entire book or highlight it all to remember later. One of my favorite sentences in her book, “With the scratch of a pen and the sharp creases of folded paper, we flew our hearts back and forth to each other, falling in love one paper airplane at a time.” Yes, the book has a happy ever after ending, but you need to get there first. I hope you enjoy the ride as much as I did.
It is no secret that I fell in love with Damon when we first met him in The B-Side. So of course seeing that he was getting his own book set my heart soaring! I loved everything about this book. Dylan is a hopeless romantic while Rhett has a healthy fear of commitment. He doesn't want anyone to tie him down or clip his wings. As he'll eventually learn though, some people are worth settling for, because in the end you aren't actually settling, you're reaching your destination.
Paper Airplanes gives us a little bit of everything you could want in a romance story. We have forced proximity, instant chemistry, friends with benefits, all the swoon and MORE! I also liked learning more about Dylan, who we briefly met at the end of The B-Side. Plus we got to see Tyler and Chance again!! There is also an accompanying soundtrack to go with this book. I'm always a sucker for a music add on to a book, and B Harmony never disappoints in that department. This is book two in the series, and while it features a different main couple than book one, it is best to read the books in order.
I highly recommend this book and the series as a whole!
I felt like I waited forever for the second book in B. Harmony's Perspective series to be released. It did not disappoint! Damon and Rhett are so sweet together. I absolutely loved how actual paper airplanes are part of the story throughout - it's just the cutest thing, and it lets us see how lovely these two men are.
This series is becoming one of those where you feel like you're visiting with old friends every time you pick up a book. The story focuses on Rhett and Damon, but we get to see lots of Tyler and Chance and Dylan from The B-Side. Paper Airplanes can be described the same way Rhett describes Damon - like a gooey, sweet cinnamon roll. It's a delicious book, and it's so much fun. I loved the fact that Damon took the big risk at the end to share his feelings first - and the way he told Rhett how he felt made me swoon.
I know the next book will be focusing on Rhett's best friend and Tyler's assistant, Dylan, a character I fell in love with when we first met him in The B-Side. I can't wait to see what's waiting for him in the next book!
Thanks so much, B, for writing characters that feel like friends - especially in these weird, messed up times when spending time with our real-life friends isn't really an option. Escaping into a book where all the characters seem real, and seem like people you'd really want in your life is a necessary escape for me! - Your books are helping keep me sane; bringing some light and fun into what feels like a gloomy world right now!
I was a huge sucker for the first story in this series, The B-Side, so I snatched at the chance to read this one. I wasn’t disappointed! This is the story of Damon and Rhett. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendship that springs up between Damon and Tyler so I was excited to see his book. Damon and his brother need some help with organizing their business and Dylan’s BFF is the perfect person to give it. The only problem is Damon and Rhett have some instant chemistry and struggle to stay away from each other. These two couldn’t be more different. Damon is looking for The One and Rhett is looking for the next one. Damon is such a big squishy teddy bear and I can totally see why that is Tyler’s nickname for him! Rhett is convinced he doesn’t want anything serious but can’t help himself developing a serious case of the feelings. This was a cute story about two guys trying to have a “relationship” while keeping everything on the down-low. I love the paper airplanes these guys throw back and forth at each other and the little notes that are contained inside. These become such a huge part of their story. I loved this book! I can’t wait to see what happens next with Dylan.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. Overall I liked the stories and I absolutely loved Damon but the writing style wasn't my cup of tea (more personal preference than a comment of the quality). To me a lot of unnecessary moments where described in so much detail, like when Rhett was working etc. For me in situations like that I don't actually need two to three pages describing his process of answering e-mails. The other maybe bigger problem for me was Rhett himself. I understood his trust issues and him being hesitant about starting another relationship, but I felt like he expected a lot from Damon without bringing the same energy into the relationship. His desire to continue doing his job the way he wants is absolutely justified but if Damon is putting in a lot of effort and making concessions for Rhett, Rhett should be doing the same. In my opinion he simply didn't and made some questionable decisions that he would have been mad about if Damon behaved the same way. Ultimately I did enjoy the book because of how lovable Damon was and the steamy scenes, I just wish that Rhett had seemed as invested as Damon.
This is the second book in the Perspective series. I really love the group of friends that are central to these stories, their camaraderie, their shenanigans all make for a fun, entertaining read. Damon is a big bear of a man with a soft tender side. He believes in love and is looking for his HEA. Rhett enjoys the freedom to travel with his job, he shies away from commitment, burnt by past experiences. Damon and Rhett have an instant attraction, Harmony does a great job of detailing how their relationship evolves, the ups and downs, the highs and lows. They have such a beautiful way of communicating with each other it made my heart melt, but they also heat up the pages with their off the charts chemistry. Not only does the reader get a front seat watching Damon and Rhett - there is a wedding, a hysterically over the top “bridezilla”, and hints at future potential relationships (that I’m hoping turn into books) to keep the book an entertaining, engaging read. If you enjoy M/M romances and a guaranteed HEA, this may be the book for you! Advanced copy provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.
Rhett and Damon have instant chemistry and a shared friend group. Damon has a marshmallow heart and a deep love of Hallmark movies; Rhett has a career that demands travel and a romantic history that has him determined to be a hookups-only guy forever. Unstoppable force, meet immovable object. The sheer charm of the relationship that develops, in spite of Rhett’s intentions, is considerable-- the unique way they communicate with each other alone (see the title for a clue) is adorable. There are lots of great supporting characters. Plenty of steam. Damon’s sweetness, his sense of humor, his kindness, and his endless patience with his over-the-top friends and family won me over instantly. I struggled sometimes; however, with the sheer number of times and ways that Rhett lets Damon down-- I admire Damon’s forgiving nature, and I was beyond relieved to see his trust vindicated in the end, but a part of me is still angry about quite a few of Rhett’s choices. Rhett-induced angst notwithstanding, overall, I really enjoyed the novel.
*I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
4.5 that I rounded up to 5 stars. Lovely book with great writing. Seemed very real life and adult. I would like to know how someone has such good aiming with a paper airplane, I never accomplished it.
MC's are Damon "Teddy Bear," a landscape company co-owner with his brother, and Rhett, a financial analyst who spends months on the road helping companies get their financial houses in order. Damon takes on the brothers' finances and and it doesn't take long for Damon and Rhett to make a connection. They communicate incognito by shooting each other with messages on paper airplanes during the day to ward off anyone suspecting their affair with overheard conversations.
When the brothers' business is up and running, Rhett prepares to take on his next multi-month contract and he breaks it off with Damon. Rhett was burned by a long distance relationship before and he's not about to have another one even though he and Rhett had a really good thing going.
Lots of steam and a wonderful story to go with it.
Call me a lucky girl, I’ve been reading this book in pieces since the VERY beginning, and when I tell you that I love all of these characters, it’s not an exaggeration. My sweet cinnamon roll, Damon, who you may remember from The B-Side, as Tyler’s failed hookup turned close friend, has finally found the man for him. What’s the problem, you might ask? Well, what happens when you find the man for you but it turns out that emotionally, he’s not quite ready for a HEA? Rhett, my baby. He made me so sad and so mad and so very happy, but definitely not all at once. I sympathized with his issues, but I didn’t want my Teddy Bear hurt, and was willing to throw hands if need be. I can never get enough, and am already looking forward to whatever ends up being next from our beloved author.
Paper Airplanes is the second book in the Perspectives series by B. Harmony. I really enjoyed this book featuring Damon from book 1, The B Side. Damon is a big softie who wants the type of forever love like his parents and his friends Tyler and Chance share. When he meets Rhett, he’s immediately smitten, but Rhett isn’t a forever kind of guy. Having been burned by a previous relationship, he’s perfectly fine with easy flings. The chemistry between these two is too much to deny and sparks fly when they run into each other. Damon and Rhett are so great together. I loved their banter and all the sweet messages they send across the office. Rhett brings out Damon’s playful side and Damon helps Rhett learn to trust and have faith in permanence.
It was great to catch up with Tyler and Chance and other characters from book one. I like how B. Harmony seamlessly gave us glimpses of Tyler and Chance’s HEA, without taking away from Damon and Rhett’s story.
Rhett and Damon are the sweetest things. I loved this novel and the whole world the author creates! I want everyone to have their own spin-off!
Rhett comes in to help Damon and his brother Jude organize their successful small business. After a couple of chance encounters outside the office and while working in close quarters, romance blooms at first in the most innocent of ways through notes written on paper airplanes.
Damon is a bear— looks rough and tough but is really as his friends aptly name him a “teddy bear.” Rhett is a broken-hearted lover...seemingly cold and aloof but in reality his behavior masks his past heartache.
This book is layered with the ways a couple is constantly knowing, loving and growing with each other. The sex scene were surprising and sweet with lots of 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I think these boys are my favorite in this series so far 😍😍😍 Get this one off your TBR and into your eyeballs ASAP.
I LOVED this book. I read the book first in the Perspective Series when it came out and I have been waiting for Damon to get his own story, & HEA.
Damon is a true romantic, (sons may call sappy) He’s also loyal, sweet, caring, passionate, and generous. He’s a great friend and any man would be lucky to have him. He may look like a big alpha bear but he prefers for his partners to take charge.
Rhett is hard working man who will not let anyone, or anything get in his way. He’s dedicated to his career and does not want any serious relationships. He agrees to a casual friends with benefits with Damon while he is in town.
There is so much heat, passion and sweetness between these two. They definitely have their ups & downs but they make it work. I will be reading this book again in the near future.
I did receive a free ARC from Gay Romance Reviews but that did not influence my review.
Just as soppy and cute as the first one. Though, I have to admit, I didn't quite remember the plot of the first one, even though I still listen to the playlist frequently. This is a romance in the most quintessential sense; the organic building of a relationship that seems very real, plus some soliloquies about eyes. Real life is not as exciting as the drama arcs in romance novels, so it's not an overly exciting book. However, the amount of detail put into this story and the perfect, if simple, execution makes it stand out. The playlist is eclectic and amazing, everyone has middle names and backstories, it's all very detailed. Cool parent characters are refreshing in this genre, it's a rare find. There are all these hints at Rhett's 'emotionally scarring backstory' which turns out to be a nothingburger and the tension in the plotline collapses from there. TBH I still thought Rhett was kind of a dick by the end, but it's real, and believable so I'll give it that.
After reading The B- Side which is the first book in The Perspective Series I was so eager to read Paper Airplanes It certainly is just as delightful and just as delicious. So many wonderful “ feels”. The paper airplanes flying to each other is more than beautiful—- again the “feels “. Everything in this book is perfect, including the cunning ways they tried to deceive their friends and family, as they were just friends, friends became more then became together, two guys as one .
The ending is glorious.
This is an incredible read , a beautiful romance with Damon and Rhett taking a chance even when the distance rises it’s ugly head.
All the characters are magnificent.
Damon and Rhett are sweet, so very loveable, I could go on and on as I certainly loved every part of this book. Together they are amorous ,extremely passionate and hot! A beautiful written m/m romance that stays with you ..
I adored Damon and Rhett’s story. It’s so romantic and swoon worthy and just made my heart melt. My favourite part has got to be the paper airplanes. I loved the concept because they added a layer of sweetness and tenderness to the story. Hands down one of the most romantic books I’ve ever read!
And then there is the characters. Damon is a huge softy who truly wants the whole happily ever after and forever love. I cannot express how much I loved the adorable, cuddly cinnamon roll of a bear. He had my heart right from the beginning! It’s a slow build up with Rhett to get to this HEA though. Rhett has been hurt before and is adamant about protecting his heart. Which means Rhett and Damon need to navigate instant attraction and casual hookup territory until finally realising they’ve already fallen. A beautiful, light-hearted, and truly romantic read that I’ll be revisiting for sure!
A real good start with Rhett returning home to his friend Dylan for a break from traveling. I loved the hot first meeting for Rhett and Damon as they both check each other out on the sly. Rhett soon helps the landscaping buzz in the straitening out the office side of things for them. Included hot feels, injured puppy, age gap, secret lover, Paper Planes, friends to lover's and more. A great story to read for these guys and Dylan is a bit of a character as well in this. This has a lot of narrative thoughts. Time jumps included to speed the storyline along as the hiding pair keep their secret. Yah but secrets get found out with a huge bang... A great ending to the book for a HEA.
""""WARNING: Sexy, furry bears. May cause perceptions of double vision, spontaneous erections, and drooling. Proceed with caution.""
Rhett 25 yrs returns home for a time to spend time with his family and best friend. fancy free and single he didn't do relationships with anyone holding him down. Damon 32 yrs was a landscapers business with his brother and dreamed of finding Mr Right.
*I received GRR advanced readers copy and this is my honest review.
I loved the way Damon and Rhett interacted. There was so much attraction between them but there was no way Rhett would date again...been there, done that, got the broken heart from it. But....he could still flirt. Damon is definitely a relationship kind of guy but for Rhett, he may have to just go with the flow. There is just something about Rhett that Damon does not want to miss out on. Their paper airplane conversations were sweet, sexy, and downright romantic in my opinion. The chemistry between these two was explosive and Rhett's dirty mouth added to the heat! Another great book by B. Harmony.
