Everyone knows the song Imagine by John Lennon right? Well Richard A. Harris is a dreamer because he has imagined a world where there is no religion, no countries, nothing to kill or die for and he has come up with an intriguing way in which this could come to pass. The world after I-day (the day when everything changes) is an intoxicating paradise where everyone works together and all are seized by a desire to create and reorder for the common good. All food is delicious and sustainably sourced ...more

You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one.
John Lennon, Imagine

Richard Harris's novel is not only a book, it's a dream.
Based on Lennon's song Imagine , Harris takes these few inspiring revolutionary words and pours life into them.
His book is a love story, a journey , a time travel, back to ourselves, to how life was supposed to be in the first place, and maybe can still be.

It challenges us to think differently , out of the box,to believe, to hope, to rebel everything history told us we

At a time where one cannot travel, every chapter of Imagine takes you to a different country. That was one magic of this book. Of course the other magic was the idea, the thought, the dream, born from the song. The author beautifully takes the idea of harmony and love, something so needed today and wove it into a story. A song that made us all think that it may be possible, came to fruition with Imagine.

I might be a little biased (being the author) but I would really recommend this book. It's a very novel concept. Inspired by one of the greatest works of art ever, revolutionary in nature, John Lennon's song Imagine, the novel itself takes you on a journey across the world with the harmonies of the song in mind. Imagery and dreams are intricately woven in a number of love stories that intertwine and roll back on each other like the chorus and verses of a song. It is an easy read for a beach holi ...more

Well done dad. What a huge accomplishment publishing this book, particularly whilst juggling a busy workload in your “real career” and maintaining a social life after a tough year.
The concept of the book is creative, unique and beyond imaginative.
Each chapter was set in a different city around the world and elements of each city were well captured-making me long to travel again.
I enjoyed the characterisation although I was a little lost within the various short stories at times.

"In the sunlight, they were blessed."
IMAGINE is an embarrassment of riches, a panoply which covers all aspects of life. Inspired by John Lennon's song Imagine, this book is about love - both Agape (αγάπη) and Eros.
IMAGINE being able to freely travel and work anywhere in the world - no passports needed.
Friendly welcomes extended by everyone, everywhere.
A world filled with compassion, peace and abundance for all.

Very pleased to have read it.

Imagine:A Novel by Richard A Harris is a novel inspired by one of the most famous songs of John Lennon's 'Imagine'.

We all have a desire to live in a world where there is peace, harmony, equality, no religion, no boundaries, no violence or say an Ideal World. But the question is that is there any possibility of the existence of this Ideal World in Real Life?

Author through his book takes us on a journey of our Ideal World, that has become after I Day, I Day is the day when everything changed for good

I fell in love with this story immediately. Such beautiful, descriptive language that painted the most palpable scenes. In today's world, this book was exactly the inspiring, fanciful tale of hope that I needed. ...more

Richard Harris’ Imagine has been the most insightful and interesting read of 2021 for myself. Harris has been inspired by a classic song exhorting mankind to a higher calling. He has succeeded in envisioning a world of greater things. Just like the song, the novel captures in chorus and verse in universal love, an adventure in dreaming of the brighter way of being human.

This is a great read, I would thoroughly recommend it.

“Imagine this. A world without countries. A world at one with itself. Imagine.”

Imagine a world where having the time to enjoy a good novel in the tub was the norm.

This wonderful book by my dear @richharris2 couldn’t be more timely. After a year of fear and challenge during the pandemic and ongoing political and social unrest, this uplifting story, inspired by John Lennon’s song, is a most soothing balm.

Richard A Harris, that’s me, can be a bit of a dreamer. On the one hand I am a busy Vascular Surgeon to real people. On the other a daydreamer and writer who fell in love with words quite a while ago.

I live in Sydney Australia, one of the most beautiful places on the planet and I’m deeply appreciative of my surrounds, my family and friends.

I set about writing Imagine and a second book on the Thurs
