Another cute entry in the series, with Nick and Nack constructing a boat from household materials (after they spill the milk and break the eggs, of course). The story, like the others in the series, highlights things like letter and shape recognition and other learning skills, as readers look for the hidden objects that help them with their craft. There are helpful instructions for how to make the crafts described at the back of each book.

These new Highlights Puzzle Readers are pretty cool. My kid loved finding the hidden images on some of the pages. Nick (human child) and Nack (robot) enjoy various STEM activities in each of their books. Instructions at the end encourage kids to explore on their own.
