Another continuation of Sherlock Holmes. This one feels like the author had the most fun, but also added more character to Watson.
The story begins with the death of a magazine owner, and there are numerous literary easter eggs sprinkled throughout the story, that makes things fun. But the story focuses on Watson, and his relationship with Mildred Smith.
That relationship is endearing and fascinating to read, all the while Sherlock and Watson try to solve the murder.

This is one of the best Craig Stephen Copland's Sherlock Holmes adventures. Holmes more seems emotionless and cold in this story. I thought this odd, but there is a reason, and that's part of the mystery. If you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.

Rather spoilt by poor layout and formatting. That aside this was an enjoyable Holmes homage.

Love Sherlock Holmes; then this series is for you. Plenty of twists, devilishly clever plotting, as per usual brilliant deductions and unforeseen villainy.

In my Kindle the text of Dancer from the Dance is printed instead of the Adventure of the Devilish Footnote. So I have yet to read the actual story. I have now 2 copies of Dancer from the Dance.
