I'm baffled by all of the four and five star reviews after listening to this series. This entire series is plagued with a underdeveloped storyline to include the plot twist and turns, underdeveloped characters, physical, mental & emotional abuse, mayhem, murder, stupidity, story inconsistencies, rudeness, crassest, narrators that read that story like first graders, but I was able to give 2 stars because with all that was going on in these stories....I laughed...this story is so silly that it's funny.

Great book!
From the beginning to the end of this book! It was straight crazy!! I enjoyed reading about all the brothers, but I loved Babyface more. Blaze was too crazy for me. Lol. I feel so sorry for Shadow but in a way, I feel like that was his karma for cheating on his girl. It’s sad that his brothers got mixed up with it as well. As well as Quick when it came to Alaysia although, he didn’t know that she was a cop. She played him to the left!! They father showing up thrown me from a loop! I think it would be good having him around since he’s Father Hoover. Lmao! Outstanding job! & I can’t wait to read part 2!

I was looking for something different to read and was really glad I decided to read this book. This book is about 4 brothers that rob banks. Their last job goes awry, people are not who they seem and ghosts from the past come back. This book is filled with punchlines and will definitely keep you entertained.

You bring it with EVERY book you drop. This book was everything and a straight page turner! Blaze is bae I love his crazy butt. Quick is MY MAN ( in my mind) kmsl. You extra petty for the ending tho. I can't wait until part 2 to drop. I'm hoping I don't have to catch a flight but I have a feeling your pettiness gone make me lol. Keep dropping these dope books boo!!!

This wasn't for me. The cheating and disrespect of women was getting on my nerves. Along with that, I didn't like one person in this book. With all of the different POVs and I couldn't like one? Like I said, not for me.

I can't believe that the book ended that way, it made me so in my feelings. Blaze didn't play when it came to setting things on fire, whether it was his mother's wig, eyelashes, or anything else, when he was in his feelings. Blaze didn't believe in love, until he met Andrea, now he's fighting for his life after trying to protect the woman of his dreams. Andrea was different, because she didn't even know who Blaze was when she met him. She was beautiful, and she knew how to hold her own, even if it was family she had to hold herself away from.
Shadow was the youngest of the Hoover boys, and he was engaged to the woman of his dreams, or so he thought. Shadow thought that he knew his fiancée Shirree, but little did he know, he wasn't the only one with secrets. Tate and Alaysia crashed Shadow's wedding, but Tate and Shirree had a relationship that no one would ever suspect. Shadow thought that Shirree and him had both did forgivable things, and that they were even, but little did he know that most of what him and his brothers were going through, was because of Shirree.
Babyface was the most rational, reasonable one out of the Hoovers. Babyface was all about time, and he told his brothers what he thought, even if they didn't want to hear it. Babyface wanted what Shadow had, commitment from his significant other, but the problem was, he was as single as a dollar bill, until he met Juicy. Juicy was exactly what he needed, and he was blessed to come home to her, even if she did get on his nerves.
Quick had landed himself in hot water. He normally met women, got what he wanted, and bounced. Quick had met Alaysia, and had slowly fell in love with him. Imagine his surprise, when he found out that he was sleeping with the enemy. Alaysia met Quick, and it worked out as she knew it would.... the problem was, she didn't think she would enjoy Quick as much as she did. No one understood the weird situationship that Quick or Alaysia have, not even Quick and Alaysia.
Rico's blood was the one that flowed through the Hoover gang, but you would have never known it. Rico popped up out the blue, and tried to build a relationship with his boys, but they weren't having it. The boys once looked up to their father, but after mourning him, and dealing with his death, they despised their father for leaving them all these years. What the boys doesn't know, was that Rico had his own agenda as well. Lies, deceit, betrayal, and skeletons were exposed amongst the Hoovers, but it have just began. I can't imagine what's to come.

OMG!
This is only book 1 and Love and War got my heart racing! Will I be able to survive the rest of the books is the question.. It was non stop action, drama and laughter. I love the Hoover boys but they are indeed crazy. I enjoyed the book and I'm headed right into pt 2. Good read LaToya Nicole!

This was a very entertaining series. The author added so much humor in the series to lighten the sting of violence when incurred. She did a great job of showcasing the strong, if not extremely toxic, bond between the four brothers. The series moved quickly with quite a few moving pieces and characters to keep track of but eventually, they all came together. I didn't always feel the chemistry between the couples. I would have liked to feel that passionate chemistry between the couples rather than them using their "tsunami" skills to make the women fall in line. The final book in the series introduced me to new characters from previous books that I can't wait to go back and read. As far as the audible, the narrators chosen didn't quite fit the characters. They came across as too mature for the 20 something-year-old characters. The one that did fit was the narrator who voiced the mother and Blaze. I recommend this series to all the firestarters who like drama and humor. #teamblaze

I have heard a lot about this series and I decided to go ahead and give it a read. Plus, I have been in a few clubhouse rooms with the author and she seems cool. I’m all about vibes. No lie, I thought this was about some Crips and I was lowkey disappointed when the author told me it had nothing to do with the Crip gang BUT make no mistake about it. The book is NOT disappointing at all. It is quite the roller coaster. It is entertaining from beginning to the end. The Hoover men are wild. Love is definitely their downfall and mines too! Latoya had me falling for Zayn(who would have thought) and that ending....ummm what’s about to happen? Lol. On to Book 2

I love this story. It is your typical 4 brothers running an empire/making a name on the streets kind of story. (Well something like that.) But, in my opinion, what makes this different is the added comedy. These guys were funny and they're mama too. Some of the other characters do stupid things as well. I don't know if this was supposed to be funny or not but some scenes just had me laughing. Just when it was getting good, it ended and I was pissed til I remembered I already downloaded part 2. I'm enjoying this story.

I was totally caught off guard. Love the suspense and waiting to see who Blaze was setting fire to next. Anyone who loves love, power and, suspense. I didn't like the mother's role in the book.

Their mother Debra is a trip. Sirree should have told Shadow her secret. I hope he finds out. I hope Tate and Slick gets what is coming to them especially Aliysha or however you spell her name. On to book 2.

Ummm Debra, we see where my boys get it from. That mouth reckless. Blaze, oh Blaze why did they have to do you like that. Poor Drea with her snake of a brother. Shadow, I'm not sure how I feel about you and Shirree. Let's just hope Elise is talking to the earth worms. Quick let the power of the P get the best of him. Alaysia, I have no words for or about your snake tail. Babyface and Juicy are a cute couple, just hope it last.

Sooo goood!!
This was a really good book. I absolutely love Blaze's crazy self. He is hilarious. There are so many things that I have questions about. The book was well written, and kept my attention. All the Hoover brothers are the man in their own way. I can't wait for part 2 because I need to see what's going to happen.

Blaze is most definitely my favorite Hoover brother that man has no chill. I can't wait for part two especially after reading that ending. It seems as though those poor boys couldn't catch a break. I hope Elise loose her uterus after that stunt she pulled. Overall it was a good read.

Those Hoover boys......
This was a great read. Once I started I couldn't stop reading it. Those Hoover boys are crazy and funny at the same time. I guarantee this book will keep you laughing and you won't want to put it down. Latoya you were petty for that ending but thankfully I have part 2 waiting.

Great read
First time reading a book by this author and I must say she did not disappoint. I lovvvve Blaze he is definitely my favorite character. These brothers are something serious but very entertaining. Hated the ending though. I definitely got to ready the rest of the series to see what happens next with the Hoover Gang !

Enjoyable
The book was okay but I felt it was kind of rushing in the end. But non the less it had my attention from the beginning. I really hope my favorite brother is Blaze is okay he's a real one. Hopefully Elise and Alaysia are dead Af! Shiree needs to come clean and their momma needs to calm all the way down.

Wooo these Hoover men I swear. Even though I am a little late I am so glad I discovered this series. LaToya Nicole has definitely made her way to my list of favorites. I love me some Blaze. Laaawwwdddd this fool had me cracking up. Great read and now I'm on to book 2.

Messy book!! They were suppose to be some ruthless heartless bankrobber but they were some careless naive individuals..Blaze was probably my favorite because he kept the same energy in this book.
There is a lot of secrets and lies in this book. Hopefully everyone will get themselves because they are definitely on a rollercoaster right now.

Loved it!!
Why did it end like that??? I gotta know what happened. I loved the brothers and the way they interact. I think Blaze is my favorite. I like him and Drew together even though I like Babyface and Juicy too. Looking forward to the next book.
