Littered with SPaG errors which is not ideal from a book written by English teachers. I was hoping this would stretch my understanding of the text and give me lots of ‘food for thought’ to enhance my teaching of it to a GCSE group but it just didn’t hit the mark for me. Very simple comments and analysis that I’m sure would be useful for students to read to aid their revision but weren’t so great for me as a teacher. Also filled with lots of unsupported references to ‘a modern audience’ and ‘an Elizabethan audience’ which is such a pet hate of mine when students do it never mind academics!

The idea of this book is brilliant, it provides an analysis of the play and helps teachers and students to look at the key concepts of the play. However what over-rides what could have been a brilliant book are the spelling, grammar and quotation errors on every page: literally every page. This book is aimed for teachers and students, therefore an academic text, to be so filled with simple mistakes is appalling.
