The author has penned a sweet and heartwarming story of two people who fight adversity together and come out on the other side. Beau Kendrick, a bounty hunter from Colorado, had captured a man for a client who lived in England. Thinking he would just receive the bounty, he was informed by the judge he would have to go to England to collect his bounty from the client. Ruby Swanson was working aboard the ship to earn her passage back to the US and her family. While working she was accused of a crime she did not commit and, in order, to save her from punishment for the supposed crime, Beau, who was returning on the ship from England, agreed to marry her. Will the couple's relationship grow into a HEA or will they each go their separate ways when they reach home. Be sure to read this story to find out. I know you will enjoy it as much as I did.
Ruby is in England with her sister, Jade, who is engaged to a British snob. Ruby can’t wait to be able to go home to Colorado. A chance for her trip comes in the form of working as a nursemaid for family members of Jade’s fiancé. On board the ship, she befriends a kindly English lady, as well as an American bounty hunter from her home state. Unfortunately, the man of family she works for is horrible and due to his anger and lies, Ruby ends up imprisoned on the ship.
Beau is Ruby’s only chance to be released, so Beau marries her. With the condition that they have an annulment once they are back in Colorado. He didn’t plan on falling in love with her, though 💕
Now that her sister is engaged, Ruby wants to return to the States and rebuild the ranch after her Father and third sister perished in a fire. Is accepting work as a nanny during the crossing going to go smoothly? What happens when she meets a Bounty Hunter onboard? It was a clean, easy read. The ending felt a bit rushed but was alright.
Another wonderful story by Margaret. This jewel theme stories are amazing and entertaining. I love this mix of English snobs and true country folks interacting. This is a creatively written story that will definitely be a enjoyable read. I highly recommend you read this story and all title's by Margaret💖💖💖💖💖🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This story is about the second sister in the family. We met all three sisters in the first book. When Emerald got Ruby and Jade away to their Aunt in Denver, their lives changed dramatically. Their Aunt married and took both girls to England with her new husband. Jade took to England right away, but Ruby did not. She hated wearing the corsets and dresses. She wanted to go home to Colorado and rebuild their ranch. She is not thrilled with her sisters gentleman, Andrew either. She uses him to get a job with his brother George, to watch their son James on their voyage to America. From there she would make her way home. On board, George tries to take advantage of her, but is saved by her dinner companions, Beau and Mrs Hathaway. It's a long journey from England to Colorado, but you will enjoy their story.
