I don't even remember why I can't stand that bouncer named Dash, but natives in this south side neighborhood of Newcastle never do. They simply hand down their family's grudges from one generation to the next. OK, I admit I'm part of the problem. I may enjoy watching Dash walk away from an argument again and again, and maybe I should stop showing up at his bar to provoke him. But he sure is cute when he's angry. Harper needs to stay away from Crow Bar if she knows what's good for her. Not only is her family sworn enemies of mine, but she's also in danger. But does she listen? No. I don't know how many ways I need to spell it out for her, but if she keeps coming in here with that wicked grin, a body built for trouble and a wit that makes it tough to maintain my composure, she's going to attract all the wrong kind of attention. And I'm the least of her problems.
Series Crow Bar is the rowdiest bar in the city's toughest neighborhood, and its owner is known for employing the kinds of bouncers nobody wants to mess with. Dubbed the Crow Bar Brute Squad, these hardened heroes may have zero bandwidth for anyone's B.S., but they have nothing but time and intense devotion when it comes to the queens that they love. The oceanside city of Newcastle has glittering skyscrapers, gritty warehouses and everything in between. It's also full of characters that fall fast and hard -- into love, into bad decisions and into Tough, blue-collar guys and even tougher, mouthy broads. When irresistible forces crash into immoveable objects, the resulting tales of love, friendship, and adventure will make you want to pack up and catch the next train to Newcastle. Bring a beach chair! (And maybe a helmet.)

I love the storyline. I love Dash. I liked Harper.

This is the only negative thing about this series ⬇️
I don't care for dominant women. I like strong women, there is a difference.
That's a pattern with this series. The women come off dominant and the men like dumb meatheads.

Plot and the characters are likable. I like how when they make up their minds to be together then they are together. I liked that there was also suspense with this story.
I am looking forward to the next couple.

Ya’ll the Brute Squad is back. If you’re like me, and just can’t get enough of this group and the shenanigans they get into, then this is a must read for you. This is Dash, and Harper’s book, you remember these two, they barely tolerate each other...or so we thought. This is the book they finally act on their feelings, and make everyone happy, especially themselves.

Safe read. An enemies to lovers book, with two of our favorite characters, let’s be honest...they are all our favorite characters. I think we already know they have hot chemistry, they’ve had it in all the books. All the gang is back, and getting into some shenanigans, with some suspense, and a great storyline. An epilogue and a hea. Next book please, always want more of this group.

I have been waiting to read their story from book one in the series (you can read them standalone but why not read them all) and I wasn’t disappointed.

This is an enemies to lovers fast paced romance. Both their families have a grudge but that tit for tat arguments continue to grow into this sizzling tension which explodes one night. I laughed, swooned, I laughed some more, fanned myself quiet a bit. These two have instant chemistry that has been there from the moment they met but because of their families history never explored. When they are together you feel it when you are reading it. But when harpers life is put at risk will dash be able to save her.

I received an arc to give an honest opinion.

This book was all over the place, a whole hot mess I seriously wanted to DNF but I pushed through. Harper was so annoying and Dash was a bit over the top, them coming together was so weird how it did and the Priest just made it even weirder. The climax of the book just showed how over the top and ridiculous this whole thing was.

Harper and Dash are combustible together. I loved the push pull attraction, and witty sarcastic dialogue. All of that is mixed with a unique and complex storyline with hidden tunnels, treasure and bootlegging ancestors. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it!

Harper and Dash make a wonderful subject for a sweet, hot, emotional story. I loved they build up between them.
