I had a great time with this book! This is the second book in the Monster MASH series which I would recommend reading in order if at all possible but it could also work as a stand-alone if necessary. This is a lighter read that doesn't take itself too seriously and has a fair amount of humor woven throughout the story. I am so glad that I decided to give this series a try.

Updated review for the renamed Transylvania Twist release 1/26/21. Parts rewritten. More humor and community. Better understanding of the return off Mark and the ease of reconnecting vs the loss of someone she thought she could count on. The prophecy. It’s all about the prophecy.

Original review 2013 - Second book of the Monster MASH series by Angie Fox. Love the humor. It's a unique story line and I am waiting to see what happens in this war of the gods.

Since the truce between the old and new gods has put a temporary stop to the huge number of casualties that Petra's MASH unit have been trained to deal with things have been a little quieter for Petra and her colleagues. The lull in emergencies has left more time for them to get back to being normal doctors though and Petra is enjoying having the chance to work with regular patients again. Life is pretty good until her lover Galen is called back to work to lead his team on a super secret mission ...more

I really got caught up in the first book but absolutely loved this one ! I cannot praise this unique take on Mash medicine highly enough. I adore Petra our medic as she just cares so much. In this book we get to see much more meddlesome Gods or maybe I mean Goddesses. Plus I absolutely forgive the author for changing the romance because it was a surprise that really worked. Add in absolutely crazy additional characters from Medussa to Hellhounds and this the second book is absolutely fabulous. I ...more

The Transylvania Twist by Angie Fox is the second in this series but could be read on it's own.

Petra once again must fulfill the oracles prophecies. Galen has left her to return to the front lines but her "dead" fiance has returned to recruit her to help stop a super weapon developed by scientists for the Old God Army. Petra is strong and often snarky but I love the way she treats her patients with genuine care and concern. Being reunited with her supposedly dead fiance brings up a lot of emotio

I really loved this book. It's an Urban fantasy with a twist. A little bit romance, mystery and a lot of witty storytelling.
The world and the characters are memorable. It's a fun story about a doctor at a M.A.S.H. unit located in Limbo. The Gods are at war but a tentative peace has broken out. There's a chaplin with a pet hell hound, a sci-fi obsessed werewolf, jealous Goddesses, a pregnant Gorgon and they aren't even the main characters. Petra is a brave dedicated doctor, her love life is a cra

The Transylvania Twist is the second installment in author Angie Fox's Monster M*A*S*H series. The Monster MASH series takes place in and around a paranormal MASH unit during a seemingly endless war between the young Gods and older Gods who have been fighting since the fall of Troy. Petra Robichaud and her colleagues at the MASH 3063rd have been drafted until the end of the conflict, or until they die, which is bad for Petra

I love this trilogy! Petra's new patient is Medusa and she is pregnant. As the MASH unit enjoys a temporary truce Petra first love turns up not only alive but doing well. Petra doesn't have time to deal with all the emotions as they fight to prevent the old gods from using a new and terrible weapon.
The world Angie has created evokes all my memories of the TV show MASH. Characters that are warm and ethical. Relationships that are challenging and supportive. Practical jokes, families far away and

Well again we had some good moments. I loved the ghost doctor and then how the dagger kept appearing. I liked Medusa and I can't wait to meet the baby. I feel the Gods have been made out to seem more like office workers just popping up here and there giving orders then disappearing again. I feel the relationship from the first book was pointless. I like Mark and I'm glad they found each other again. ...more

I know jumping into a series without reading the previous books is a bit of a no-no in the minds of a lot of bloggers and authors alike but I enjoy the challenge of diving in midstory. I think it says more about an author’s ability to carry the story and get the reader involved if you are still able to follow the plot without having the backstory. Angie Fox was able to do just that in book #2 of Monster M*A*S*H. While the reading of the first book would obviously have given me more detail, it’s ...more

FYI this book was originally published under the title, Immortally Embraced.

Even during a truce, Petra has her hands full as a MASH surgeon. She has to deal with a pregnant Medusa, her presumed-dead fiance showing back up, a new prophecy and a potentially deadly weapon being created by the Old Gods.

This was another nonstop action packed adventure for Petra. Just like in the first book, I really enjoyed Petra and her snarky comments. The MAS

I'm not going to lie, I have no idea how I feel AT ALL about Marc's reappearance. While Petra's life has admittedly been thrown into turmoil (not just by the prophecies, either. Thanks, Galen.), the fact he let her (and his family) believe he's been dead for the last 10 years is a hard one for me to work my head around. Plus, I liked Galen. You know, right up until he started making decisions for her.

Nobody's perfect, I guess.

Anywho. There's more prophetic mayhem making the rounds and Petra's sm
This second installment of Monster M*A*S*H starts off a few weeks after book 1 with a shaky truce, the MASH 3063rd has become a supernatural clinic, attending a pregnant Medusa. Petra and Galen are still together when he is called back to the action and leaves her high and dry. Devastated, she goes on with her life until she finds a note that leads her to Marc, who is supposed to be dead for the last 10 years. He's been fighting for the other side but needs her to talk to his partner at the lab ...more

This is the 2nd book in the Monster Mash trilogy. The oracles have released new prophecies and it's up to Petra to fulfill them again. Galen has been sent back to the front lines as a mortal this time for the New Gods and a truce has been called at least for now, The Mash unit has been turned into a hospital to treat immortals. Petra's also working on creating an anesthetic that will work on immortals with help from her long thought dead boyfriend Marc who works for the Old Gods army. If that is ...more

Back to Limbo, with a cease fire in the war between the old gods and the new gods, Dr Petra Robichaud and her paranormally staffed MASH unit has time for a breather and a change of pace from stitching wounded demigods back together. But of course prophecy has something else in mind for Petra, and her life goes from calm to "interesting" when her "dead" fiancé shows up to rope Petra into a secret mission - and the secret has far reaching consequences for the human world.

Absolutely overjoyed to be back with these characters, I loved the first book in this series so much, that I was so happy to be approved for this too. I actually enjoyed this book even more than the first, I love how geeky these books are . I love Petra, even if the romance in this book had me worried, where is this going, who does she want, no spoilers read for yourself and I need book 3 now to find out more. Absolutely fantastic writing, addictive and fast paced, full of fun, perfect escapism ...more

One night Mark shows up!! That’s right Mark her supposed dead ex. Mark needs her help. Mark is trying to solve what his former boss was working on. He is worried it’s a weapon of mass destruction. The Transylvania Twist, sequel to the Monster MASH, is just as fun as the first book! It's a perfect blend of suspense, romance and humor. It was fast paced with a lot of adventure. It takes you on a wild ride that keeps you wanting to know what will happen next. I love the characters especially Petra. She's so snarky!

Overall, this was a fun read filled with unique characters. I can't wait to know what happens next!

Petra, also known as Dr. Robichaud, part human, part fairy, is drafted to a M*A*S*H unit into an unknown realm called limbo for a war between the new and old gods. With the future of earth hanging in the balance, hiding her ability to see the dead, is only the beginning of a long list of problems she deals with on a daily basis. Hoping to relax a little with the temporary cease-fire, Petra could not have been more wrong with the series of events she faces in her new life.

This is a unique series about a MASH unit during a war between gods. Can one mortal 1/2 fairy and a demi-god make a difference in the course of the war while finding love?

One of my favorite TV shows as a kid was MASH. I loved watching the re-runs that played on my local station. Reading this book brought back happy childhood memories. As for this book, it has some great characters along with a unique storyline. Steam and laughs abound as we follow the heroine through the prophecies that herald a

I have been a huge fan of Angie ever since I stumbled across her Demon Slayer series, which by the way are wicked good books. Check them out!

The second installment in the new series, sequel to Immortally Yours, has everything Angie's fans have come to love about her writing/stories - humor, sexiness, and action. She's highly creative with her characters and plots. Example - a pregnant Medusa. Yeah, wrap your head around that one. :)

Since I'm not one for spoilers, I won't say WHO is keeping Petra
