Cherry Falls #3

119 Kitty Lane

Rate this book
Starting my new life in Rosewood Ranch is easily the best decision I’ve ever made. New friends, new job, new everything. But by far the very best part of it all is meeting Amethyst. She puts the Cherry in Cherry Falls, and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to get her out of my mind… or heart.

She’s too young for me. Too pure. She doesn’t know about my past. But even though I can throw reason after reason out there for why we can’t be together, I can’t stop myself from claiming her as mine. She’s not meant for a rough man like me, but that won’t stop me.

I’ll protect her from this world, allow her to grow and flourish the way she deserves. That’s my plan. Until she’s taken from me. Until I find out her father’s plans for her... But I’ll always find my sweet Amethyst, always keep her safe.

And heaven helps anyone, including her own father, who tries to steal her from me.

This series of cherry falls is a bunch of authors doing together. It's fast pace and little steam for me.

Amethyst is a photographer trying to live her life and for the past couple months she been crushing on Big a bouncer at a bar. With her bff she is going to "spy" on the man. Well her spying isn't good since she smiles and her and Big have a few moments at the bar and she gets alittle drunk and dorky with Big. But Big is not that type of man he starting new had a bad past and having a second chance in this small town and fighting himself on should he or shouldn't he with Ame.

But once he's all in hes all in.. but there's trouble.. seems someone's parent doesn't take no for a answer.

No ow/om drama, no cheating, Slight secondary charas, drama, sexy times, virgin gal

I didn't realize the Cherry Falls thing was a series but anywho

h is recently moved to town, she wants out from under her rich father's thumb to pursue her own dreams. She works as a photographer and has been secretly stalking a bit the bouncer for the local bar..... A man aptly named Big. The h and her friend decide to go to the bar where she finally "meets" Big. Drama from her dad who kidnaps her.

Not terrible but that age gap is a no no for me

No cheating
Virgin h
Age gap of 18- 20 years, she's either 20 or 22 but he's definitely 40
No details of the H's past

MINK once again proves why I love there stories. Fast moving and slightly over the top story-lines that I can't help by devour.

I know going in that I am going to be treated to moments of laughter and steam that'd make a whore blush. Seriously if you're after light and fun then MINK is the way to go.

No cheating. Drama that is minimal and only enhances the story. The male leads are A+ students in the art of dirty talking and with what comes out of their mouths it's a plus that they know who to also use it. The females are sweet and RELATEABLE. I swear half the time for me its them that have me on the floor. Along with secondary characters that only add to the story, this author knows what she's doing. The dialogue is spot on, banter is hilarious and engaging.

Yes from me

This book ended at 83% and the rest was just blurbs for a bunch of other MINK books. Okayyyy.

This story was fine. A few lols here and there. There was a cat named Lint but I was expecting a few more “kitty” innuendos or references or something. I mean... they didn’t even mention if Amethyst lived on Kitty Ln. or if it was her big bouncer of a dude, ex-mob man Brigger Douglas, aka Big. I dunno. A missed opportunity if I ever did see one...

Aside from that it was just okay. Nothing super special. Big is 40, Amethyst is 20. At least it’s an age gap and I like that. The rest... meh.

Super swoon!!

Another amazing book from Mink with a “Big”, burly, bear of a hero and a sweet, innocent little heroine who slays him and brings him to his knees. Delicious from start to finish.

Hero’s past isn’t mentioned but he’s been celibate for a long time. Heroine is completely untouched and belongs only to hero, giving him the gift of all her firsts. Heroines family is neglectful and there’s slight physical abuse by her dad. No ow/om drama, no cheating of any kind, HEA with epilogue.

Big and Amethyst met at a bar and both fell instantly in love. Big was a bit hesitant because of the age gap and her innocent ways, but Amethyst worked for her HEA. Despite her family and Bigs self-doubt.😍😍😍 Sweet, romantic, steamy, safe, with action and with a hot older grumpy hardened man. Amethyst is a sweet woman that fights for what she wants. 👍👍👍

Cherry Falls

Cherry Falls sounds like a great place to live! In this story, it’s Amethyst and Big. Amethyst has a crush on Big, and doesn’t hold back. Big is reluctant, in his mind, but that doesn’t stop him. A nasty father and a little drama along the way.

Wonderful!! This was a nice quick, short read. I absolutely love it.

Big/Brigger meets Amethyst when she comes into the Tipsy Cow with her friend Glory. They came so that she could met him, she's been following him around trying to figure out how to, so she gets her friend, Glory who knows everyone. Amethyst asks Glory about Big but they head to the bar so Glory can introduce them. When they arrive, he tries to pay for their drinks but they won't allow it. A fight breaks out and since Big is the bounces at the Tipsy Cow he goes to break it up. Amethyst watch as Big takes care of the fight, Glory gets a few pictures taken so she can report on the fight. Soon Glory gets a message she is needed to get a story, she asks Amethyst if she'll be alright and Big tells her he'll watch her. Amethyst keeps drinking and soon she's a little tipsy, she starts talking to Big telling him about herself. When she falls asleep on Big he offers to take her home, but Glory comes back and but Amethyst tells her that Big can take her home. When Big gets Amethyst home he tells her to take some pain medicine and gives her some water. When she wants him to kiss her he tells her she's been drinking, he leaves her making her promise to lock her door. The next morning Big heads to Dottie's Greasy Spoon and grabs as many breakfast things he can, he doesn't know what Amethyst likes. He gets to her house and she's glade he is there with breakfast. As they eat they talk about themselves, he asks her what she's doing later, she has a free afternoon. So Big invites her to him home to take some pictures around his ranch, and of the new baby horse. Amethyst is a photographer that has taken a break from her family, her mother is a super model and her dad a surgeon, they have very high expectations from her but she just wants to be normal and take pictures. She has been crushing on a bouncer, Big, at the bar in town, she with her bestie goes to the bar and after one drink becomes drunk, the bestie has to leave and Big takes her home. He’s a perfect gentleman, he helps her hydrate and get ready for bed, he leaves but returns the next morning with breakfast. They spend some more time together at his ranch. On their first official date they make plans for her to come home with him, but the plans get derailed when her father comes to town to tell he she has lived her little rebellion and it is now time to come home. Worried Big follows her and gets to her place after her dad drops her off. She tells him it was her dad that had come and that he wants her to come home. Big tells her she doesn’t have to go she can stay here with him. They have their first time together. They are happy together until her dad comes and pretty much kidnaps her, he needs her to continue living the high life since she is heir to the family fortune. Big sees they took her and chases after the car, he rams it with his car and saves Amethyst. After to police come and he threatens her dad and tells him he is to leave her alone, they go home. Rescue sex and I love yous, cute epilogue with her having a photography studio off the house and a baby.

So bad

It's probably been at least a year since my last 1-star review, but... WOW, this was awful. As in, the male lead has a "body count" and the heroine neither knows nor cares why. As in, I think he might literally kill someone if they look at his girl the wrong way. And this is after knowing her for a few days... so, yeah. It wasn't great.

How did I end up reading this hot trash? Yes, I knew it was probably instalove ahead of time, and my rating would've reflected that if it had at least been GOOD instalove. This author appears on bestseller lists frequently, and this book is part of a series that one of my favorite authors is involved with, so it was purely out of curiosity that I started reading - and purely out of can't-look-away fascination that I KEPT reading. It's easily read in about an hour and is over the top even for an over the top instalove book. No comment on the creepiness of the age/experience gap, and I can't even say that the steam was overly enticing. If neither the steam nor the storyline are any good, then... what's the point?

Essentially, this follows Amethyst and "Big" (yes, really) as they meet and fall for each other within an hour of meeting. Big is a big (obviously), tough, 40-year-old man, and Amethyst is a very young woman who has never even been kissed (shocking). They're caught up in a whirlwind romance when Amethyst's dad gets involved, and trouble ensues.

The steam encompasses probably about 5 pages of this 100-page story, so if that's what you're in it for, well, prepare to be disappointed. It's not even sexy steam, especially if you're already laughing at the story. Which I definitely was. Curiosity satisfied, I'll happily avoid this author's work next time I see it on the bestseller lists.

This is a lovely treat in a series of stories that take place in Cherry Falls. I love the trope where the rough man with a past is suddenly struck dumb and in love by a sweet lady.  I had the impression that the characters were quite real in a few strokes.

Amethyst is adorable, and is trying to find her freedom away from a controlling family. I loved the way she is smitten with Big, a bouncer who is calm and tender and, yes, big all over :-D They start a really cute and growingly passionate relationship. The scenes at his place are beautiful. She can thrive there with him and it shows how well he can provide for her emotional needs as well as her romantic ones.

Big is a good man with the right amount of dark streaks to protect her because she needs a strong hero when the evil in her life comes with a vengeance. Another great action scene from this author who combines sweet and sassy so well. I missed a second epilogue, but the one that takes place is gorgeous with Amethyst doing what she loves and the couple sharing family time and also some alpha-male possessiveness that is so hot. I like this little world.

This is the 3rd book in the Cherry Falls Romance series, which is a series of books with interconnected characters all written by different authors. A new book is released each week.

This book focuses on Amethyst, a photographer who grew up wealthy, and has left home and is determined to make it on her own and trying to escape the "control" of her father. She has a crush on Big, who is a bouncer at a local bar.

Big has a tender spot for Amethyst from the first moment he meets her and is in instant protector mode of her. He is hesitant to pursue a relationship with Amethyst due to the age difference and his past. There isn't much mention of his past except that was part of the mob.

There is a bit of drama with her father towards the end but Big is there to save her and they get their HEA. Since this is a novella I can understand the limitations on the backstory but I wish there had been more on Big's past and to get more depth to the characters.

Overall, a quick read and enjoyable part of the series.

I am all for insta-love, age-gap fast paced stories; something I have come to expect and enjoy from this author. This book felt really rushed and scattered. The hero, Big, is a bouncer with a dark past that is never explained or explored. Honestly, the only reason I think it is even mentioned is so that he can properly threaten the villain of the story as he rides to the rescue. The heroine, Amethyst, is a poor little rich girl who is trying to live her unconventional life; bucking her father's expectations. The two meet, fall desperately in lust, and Big swoops in to save Amethyst from getting hurt in a brawl, basically cementing their bonding. Then the story takes a turn into the wild and 'what is going on?' territory i the third act with an over the top villain and action scene. If you're in the mood to suspend ALOT of disbelief, it can be an enjoyable way to spend an hour. For me, it was a disappointment compared to this author's other works.

I love a MINK book. There is always steam, suspense, and a cat. This book didn’t disappoint.

It was genuinely cute. There was drama with the dad and our hero was twice the heroine’s age, but that’s really no biggy.

Overall, I liked this book. It was quicker and honestly slightly less hot than I’m used to for MINK which is why I’m only giving it four stars. If you’ve never read MINK before I suggest you start somewhere else. Loan Shark’s Obsession is a personal favorite. But I recommend it to MINK lovers for sure.

Oh, and just for the record...I am not a fan of the covers on this series. They’re way too sweet. Frankly they look like middle school aged books or ‘clean’ romance. And considering this book was not ‘clean’, that may become an issue. <——not that MINK can help it, but I needed to share that two cents.

Mink is a fairly new writer for me but let me tell you that she will very quickly become on of my must read authors. Mink has a way of grabbing onto her readers from the 1st page to the last with her amazing storytelling and world building, and that's not always easy with a short story. Her characters are delightfully flawed that you can't help cheer for their happily ever after. Big and Amethyst story of an alpha male that doesn't think he is worthy of a soul mate and it takes his other half to convince him. I want a Big of my own (sorry to my husband who I adore)! This story has everything that you could want: comedy, action, drama, danger and of course hot romance. This gem of a book is the 3rd in the Cherry Falls series and you will be sorry if you miss it; as well as the others in the series!

Amethyst is out on her own for the first time. Leaving behind her controlling family to finally live a life that she wants. The only hiccup is that she has a crush on Big, a bouncer at a nearby bar. So what if she liked to spy on him? Of course she never planned on actually talking to him. That is, until she got drunk one night in his bar.

Big has a crush on the cute, little Amethyst. Too bad that she is way too young for him. But once he starts taking care of her at the bar, he finds that he never wants to give her up. Even if there are forces who are determined to make him.

119 Kitty Ln. is part of the multi-author collaboration of stories revolving around the town of Cherry Creek. As usual with Mink, there is a sassy cat (Lint) and tons of alpha love. And of course, there is a guaranteed HEA.

I kind of loved this story. It was short but entertaining and enjoyable even with the family drama. The characters were likable and interesting for the most part. Amethyst's dad and friend Justin were all kinds of messed up. Big and his neck tickles rule! He was a big ol' teddy bear unless you were trying to hurt Amethyst. Amethyst was sweet, super sheltered, and trying to establish her independence. Amethyst sees Big and then keeps an eye out for him everywhere she goes. She wants to get to know him better but would he want to get to know her? Amethyst and Big were wonderful together. Big was super protective of Amethyst but not in a restrictive way like her family. I loved their happy ever after and I recommend reading this book.

Not my favorite but good.

A solid afternoon read. I just didn't like it as much as I like some of the other books by this author. Still better than reading something by someone else.

The h was a photographer and the H was an ex hitman? Mob member? Not sure? But he is currently a bouncer. There is a bit of an age gap they remark on but not a age-gap kink they constantly bring up. I think she's like early 20s and he's 40.

The steam was detailed but not really adventurous, but it did have some dirty talk. 3/5. Overall, I wouldn't re read but it was good enough.

Spoiler:
It was interesting that the villan was h father and had her committed when she didn't fall in line in the past. This is only vaguely brought up and not mentioned much.

This was a fantastic book! I loved Big and Amethsyt. I loved how Amethsyt was sweet yet let her mouth run. Big was alpha AF in this book but was also hesitant when it came to moving forward with Amethsyt. I loved the connection and the chemistry. The action at the end was amazing! I loved how Big was willing to revert back to his past to protect his woman. This was a really sweet book that will leave you laughing and smiling. I can't wait to see what Mink has in store for us next! I would highly recommend this book and Mink as an amazing author.

I received a free e-book copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

119 Kitty Lane is a fun and fabulous story that will leave you swooning in no time. It is filled with a ton of heart and is sure to leave its tattoo on your soul for a long time to come. This is a sure fire Mink signature story that is sure to become a fast favorite of her devoted readers.

Big and Amethyst are quite the unique couple with their dark past. Above all, they will never stop fighting for what they want, and their hearts are as big as the sky of the small town they love. I adored everything about this amazing and scintillating story. It is a true Mink masterpiece, and my heart will never be the same again.

119 Kitty Lane was everything I love about Mink books! Amethyst is a sweet, quirky woman who just wants to live her life, her way. It may not be glamourous but its all hers. One thing that her freedom enables her to do is to crush on Big. Big is just that and he works at the local bar as a bouncer. He is everything that Kitty could want. Big has noticed the sweet little blonde around town. She comes to the bar and he finally gets to chat with her. He is completely smitten and he cannot fight the pull he feels. When someone threatens to destroy their connection and separate them, Big will stop at nothing to save her. Sheer fun, I loved Big and Amethyst!

A tingle on the back of your neck

For Big, the alpha hero in this tale, the tingle in the back of his neck, means danger and more specifically, danger to the love of his life, Amethyst. For me, the tingle on the back of my neck was because this is the first book I’ve read by Mink, and I loved it.

Big has a past. A bad one. Amethyst is as innocent as it’s possible to be, but seeing Big for the first time makes her want to change that. Immediately.

This is book 3 in the Cherry Falls year long, multi-author series. So far, so great! I’m looking forward to the next forty-nine.

Love in Cherry Falls

Another lovely story from Mink. We meet Amethyst and Big, both new to Cherry Falls and find out how they come together. Amethyst wanted to escape her controlling father and came to Cherry Falls while Big was looking for a new life and also landed at Cherry Falls. Amethyst might be young and innocent but she knows what she wanted and she wanted Big. Big was a bit hesitant because of his age and previous profession but he could not refuse Amethyst what she wants. There’s chuckles, car chases and of course a cat. Highly recommended this story and series.
