Provides 120 recipes suitable for different age levels, offers an introduction to nutrition for babies and young children, and includes tips on making food fun for children
This colourful beautiful book has 156 pages which includes 20 pages of nutritional information including allergies, 21 pages about introducing solids to babies based on their age in months, about 49 pages of recipes for toddlers, with the remaining pages recipes for young children and everyone else. There are many pictures throughout the book to show how to place food on the plate to entice young children to eat. All recipes are pretty easy with few ingredients. For babies, additional kitchen equipment would be something to puree the recipe with. Favourite recipes for my children included the zucchini and potato muffins, cheese, onion and tomato tart which i have served company (it's delicious), and tuna with shells. I was lucky enough to have children who were both flexible eaters and this book definitely does assume children eat a variety of foods. I found this book most useful after my children were eating solid foods.
