The integrity of the democracy of the United States is at risk..... If he fails, the experiment known as AMERICA, is in danger. President Jeffrey “JD” Harrison’s day began with an explosion in a small town, that opened the door to a thirty-year-old plot to take over the presidency. It went downhill from there. His Vice President is abandoning the ticket to oppose him in the upcoming election. A plot to tamper with voting machines across the country has come to light, and there is an enemy within the West Wing leading all the chaos.
AND THAT IS JUST THE BEGINNING OF HIS PROBLEMS.
On the home front, JD’s wife Tracy, the love of his life, is keeping a secret from him. His once predictable son wants to take a gap year before college to travel around the world with his friends. His teenage-daughter is at odds with his wife, and he discovers his three-year-old son has a special gift, that is literally a threat to national security.
Here’s what JD knows for certain…. Turning this country over to people who would do anything to win, will not do. If they go this far to get into power, what will they do once they have it? He must stop it from happening. The integrity of the democracy of the United States is at risk. He took an oath to protect and defend the constitution. If he fails, the experiment known as AMERICA, is in danger. He also knows, with all the craziness, his family is his foundation and he will not allow it to crack.
JD throws everything into the mix to ensure, whether he win or lose, the election will leave the country and his family with Hearts United.

What an explosive ending to this generation of the Hearts Series!!!
I remember reading the very first book in this series years ago (when Amazon was actually spot on about book recommendations) and luckily for me there were a number of books out already so I was able to continue reading without interruption.
We watched JD Harrison's meteoric rise from the bottom all the way to the President of the United States. We saw him marry the love of his life Tracey and have a family together. JD's first term as President is coming to an end, and his current VP has tossed his hat in the ring to run against him, and a 30-year demonic conspiracy is about to be let loose in the form of trying to steal the election. The current administration and the shadow groups working together to stop the evil that is trying to run rampant.
Many things from past books have come to light and have pushed their way to the forefront, battle lines have been drawn, a new running mate for VP has been named for JD's ticket, family and friend drama is happening, new love has been found, and the second generation of the Heart series is about to take center stage.
When I tell you that author Iris Bolling put her foot in this final book, which I couldn't put it down. I definitely was stretching out this book because I didn't want it to end. I am sad to see that this chapter is closing but I am super duper excited for the new chapter to take place now.
If you haven't read this series, I implore you because it is worth the ride you will definitely embark on.
My only regret in reading books by Ms. Bolling, is that upon completion, I want more. WOW her books are always a damn good read. The Re-Election was just wow. Love how she brought back other characters to help get this mission handled. Tracey and her dad and how her gave her the advice regarding JD and Tucker's ability to protect her; Ms. Martha and the police chief, great, Spicey married Graywolf, Tucker and Genesis, JC and the new wiz girl. I like how it ended with the family reunion. I like to read about Jade and weather or not Luke and Sasha really got together. Happy New you and may God continue to bless you and your family.

This is supposed to be the end of the Heart Series, but I saw so many dangling storylines, the second generations of Harrisons, Lassiters, Thompsons, Brooks, and Tuckers are going to be fabulous. Each family had its own set of issues but were there for each other at the drop of a hat. The healing of Tracy’s relationship with her father was very touching. The politics in the story was as if I was watching the news or checking FB daily. Secondary characters played just the right part to have me wondering if I am going to see them again. Typical Iris fashion there were some bombings, murders, and a good catfight. My favorite line from the story “Mr. President you are, but that does not give you a pass on stupidity”. Another great read Iris.
What a ride! The Heart Series ended with a bang, literally and figuratively. The threat to democracy has been eliminated... at least for now. The love between our leaders (JD and Tracy) still in tact, if not stronger🔥! Their family and friends still remain loyal to each other and the country. Watch out for the next generation, for they have been raised with the same values as their parents. As a reader of the Iris Bolling universe, I can't wait to see what's next! Mission accomplished!
I have so many thoughts. I'm glad that, unlike a lot of the previous books, many of the treasonous people were handled in such a finite way. I get why JC called JC weak. He allows people who go terribly low, to get away dang near scott free in comparison to what they've done.
There are So many characters that stabbed him in the back more than once and got away with a slap on the wrist that it's not even funny.
I wonder if we'll get a spin off series about the college aged / soon to be college aged progeny.
I absolutely love the Heart series so I may be biased. I mean I'm dang near obsessed. Lol. This wasn't my favorite one but still great! its amazing how much they have all grown and have these huge growing families and now their oldest kids are grown so hopefully they will move in that direction and we get some more stories about them!
She always weaves a good story and she takes great care of giving people of color strength of character and shows what black love looks like. Also how women and men respect each other.
Family does not only exist with one's bloodline. Family does not walk away from turmoil. Family has your back in all things called life. Though this series was and is fiction it brings to life family dynamics as well as serious world issues. Issues we have taken for granted and/or ignored. Right now, today, we the American people are experiencing two major issues that must be resolved and this series brings them to the forefront. Voting rights and our democracy!
Ms Bolling hit the nail on the head when she allow a young, intelligent woman, Phire, to step up to introduce a new concept resulting from long overdue procrastination! We need the young minds of this computer technology world to take us into the next world. These older folks, and I am one of them, need to accept that this computer are is a reality that must be handled differently. If nothing else this series most definitely brings that to real life!
Money and the pursuit of power and greed has twisted the minds of many men and women in today's society and oftentimes not for the better of any one cause. Wake up people! This series will enlighten!
I loved every book in this series! I only commented on two, that was because I was so ready for the next book in the series! And I wanted to end this series with the understanding that this series was so very close to what is happening today! One Party was good for doing what is right for the people and the second Party thinking they were the superior party! I loved the relationship of the friends, relationships so tight both male and female! The families love for each other even when there was differences! I can if the need to hold my attention to the need to read about love and support between friends and the in laws love for each other! It was just a great extraordinary read of each books! I cannot say though who was more loyal in friendship, the males life long friends or the females acquaintances while in college! You definitely will not be disappointed! This Author is a outstanding writer! Next! Now I will be searching and only accepting as great! 100%
Iris Bolling , delivers once again The last book in “The Heart series as phenomenal. There was so very much going on in the Re-election Story I found myself unwilling to put it down. Thinking that JD run for a second term as POTUS, was going to be a cake walk was anything but that. There were many loose ends addressed and tied up neatly. This was a perfect ending to this series and it evoked many emotions from me I laughed at the kids, and was tickled to see how all the kids grow. I empathized and cried with some of the grown ups and I despised the many antagonists that slithered from under their preverbal rocks .
I couldn’t help but think that even though the first book in this series was published in 2008 and this last book was published in 2020 all nine books are very reminiscent of our country today and the importance of Love for Family and country.
I was sad to see this series end. I liked that the loose ends were tied up. I also liked the "way" they were tied up. The way one or two ended was not quite as satisfying. Justice was not always fully realized. Yet this book was as intriguing as some of the previous books.
Tucker and Genesis were quite the pair. I wish there had been more of their relationship when they weren't saving the democracy. There was a lot of heat between the two of them. I appreciated the nod to the next generation by including the young hackers.
I wonder if Phoenix or Cameo will get a book? I'm still not quite sure how I feel about Jazzy. I'm sure of one thing. Sally would not have put up with the same behavior Tracy did.
I hope the next generation each get their own stories. Normally, I am not interested in what happens with the children of the original cast of characters, but Iris Bolling writes such intriguing stories I would look forward to what comes next.
So much happened in this book. There was plot to overthrow the Russian government. President JD Harrison and his team had to figure who was friend and who was a foe. Lots and twists and turns in this story. Donvan Tucker finally found his love. Genesis was sent to help Tucker find out what was really going on in Washington state. It was all tied to a plot that started 30 years agon. President JD also learned his young 3 year old son was very smart and remember everything he heard. A plot to rig the election that would VP in office was uncovered and stopped. This was a wonderful ending to the heart series with lots of plot twists and turns.
This last chapter seems to reflect on what Trump was trying to do with the insurrection. It explains what corruption is going on and the racism in this country. With Lindsey Graham (wainwright), Mitch McConnell (McClintock). These people in power showing their ignorance for other world to see by making racial slurs like, “just as many Black vote as Americans. Is a low blow. This book went in depth as to what is truly going on in this country and I truly enjoyed as well as the other 8. Thank you, Thank you Thank you
Intriguing and captivating from the beginning it’s for captivated and he’ll my tension through the very end! I cannot wait to see what the future generations will bring
Intriguing and captivating from the beginning it’s for captivated and he’ll my tension through the very end! I cannot wait to see what the future generations Adventures will bring! I’ve read every book in the series have enjoyed each. They just keep getting better!
As always you outdid yourself. I love how you brought back all characters from other books in the Heart’s series and How everybody came together to save the country. But the parallel was so unreal with what going on in our country today. Can’t wait to see the storyline of the children now that they’re all grown up, JC, Calvin Junior and the other boys. And I can see Jazzy running for president.
Excellent read, I loved the characters and storyline. It was great reading about President JD Harrison, his family and friends. The road to his Re-Election was filled with action, espionage, and plot twist. The family pulled together to protect the country and the rights of all voters to have an honest election free from sabotage. Also, Al’s friend and right hand man Tucker finds love with Genesis. I look forward to the next book.
I’ve loved all the books in the series and this one is no different. I need Joshuas trench coat lol. It was great to see so many powerful and gifted families come together for the greater good. JD and Tracy will always be a favorite couple for me, even the President can be vulnerable. I was also happy to see Carolyn get a chance at real love. Can’t wait to see what stories the younger generation of leaders brings hint hint spin off!!
Wow! This was a great read the story felt so inviting with the characters it felt like they walked off the page. It felt like you were right in the room with some of the scenes, this was a great story. The family the drama the conspiracy the mayhem the love. We saw all of that in the story. Ms Bolling keep writing wonderful stories like this one and I will continue to be one of your greatest fans.
This read had so much excitement, I kept going back to reread it twice. I love the storyline and all the characters but the best thing I really did love is the character's names throughout the book, I was intrigued by it because it easily put a face due to the uniqueness of the name. Definitely a good read.
With all that goes on with our government it is a good thing thru all their is still family. Love. The Harrison, Thompson,Day, Ashro, Roth, Lassister,Johnson, and the Brooks families are are close family. I enjoyed this book and all the heart books. Please read you will enjoy. Can't wait for the next one. Keep writing.
I love this series and have read it numerous times. Ms. Bolling weaves great stories that give you a lot to think about. Her characters and storylines are always well written. The love and respect the characters have for each other is wonderful, especially all the black love shown across the board.
What can I say but Good Good Good I think this one was the best of course I said that about all Bolling books just good I recommend all of her books start from#1 all are Good
All I can say is Wow. I wasn’t expecting another Heart book but so glad you did. This book was awesome. You wrote a little about everyone, and Monique is married too. OMG What a great book. Five stars.,,
The Heart stories are touching and actually pulls at my heart. Loving relationships shared among family and Special friends. The suspense, drama combine kept me anticipating the next event. I so look forward to the next book.
So much love, so much excitement so much life. And I enjoyed every minute. It was funny, nail bitting with all of that the best scene for me was when Carolyn kicked Elizabeth 's butt!
A fantastic tale between The President and his wife, along with the beautiful friends and family who support them. The conclusion to a remarkable saga that spans several years and spun various backstories. The story's conclusion was an excellent culmination of it all.
Wow, what an excellent read. I was so deep in this book until didn't want it to end. I'm thinking some of this book could be real. This author has an incredible mind. I can't wait for her next book.
What a wonderful time reading and catching up with all the characters from the heart series with some mystery/thriller action. Rarely do authors keep your interest book after book, but Iris Bolling always seems to give you everything you need in a good book!
